Chapter 20 - The YouTuber Horror Case
Pramuja and Zulfikar have returned from the village of Kembang Setaman which holds a million mysteries. AKP. Hendarto, their boss is buying coffee at their cafe.
"Good work! It is not in vain that I send you there" praised Mr. Darto.
"But there are still people who are stuck. I'm still curious about the mysterious man we met on the edge of that forest, Pram," Zulfikar said.
"Obviously he's no ordinary person. He must be a member of a big syndicate" said the steward.
"Syndicate? What do you mean?" Mr. Darto is confused.
"This case involves a syndicate of trafficking in human organs. I'm sure there's a mafia syndicate playing behind all this. But baby, we lost track. The captured rose also had no idea about the syndicate buying the organ from it. They played very clean" said Pramuja.
"Suppose it's PR for you. I need to get home soon. My wife and son are waiting for me for dinner. You two just enjoy the atmosphere here."
AKP. Hendarto soon left the Pramuja and Zulfikar.
"How is your relationship with Lestari?" Zulfikar started a chat of jomblowers.
"Obviously. I only occasionally contacted him to ask for news," said the Steward casually.
"You're too relaxed, Pram! How do you quickly end your combo if you're less aggressive yourself." Zulfikar.
"You're advising like a romance expert. Just take care of your relationship with that fierce girl. You're still single yourself!" sindir Pramuja's.
"I've started PDKT. He's already agreed to go on a date with me" Zulfikar showed off.
"Good then." The steward remained relaxed.
"Ah, you're not exciting!" Zulfikar.
A group of three young men, taking seats next to the table of the Steward and Zulfikar. They immediately engaged in an interesting conversation.
"Hey, have you seen the latest video on the channel Sukma Dewi?" ask the first young man.
"It has. He's on a search in a haunted building of a former sugarcane factory. It was like there was an apparition of a shadow and mysterious voices," said the enthusiastic second young man.
"Do you know about Ghost Family? They are now going viral!" the third man threw a question.
"Ah, their apparitions are far too far-fetched. The ghost is very real. It's at most just the person wearing the costume." The first young man gave his opinion.
"I think so too. Channel Sukma Dewi which is often trending first not until there is a clear appearance. At least as bright as shadows or voices. Though Sukma Dewi is a psychic who has the 6th sense." The second young man came.
"I don't really believe in Ghost Family. They just deceive people. The fabric for pocong or kuntilanak looks new and still clean. The hair is also like a shampoo ad just neatly hook." The third man laughed.
The three young men continued to drown in the chat about the horror youtuber while watching their youtube channel.
"Hey, Pram, did you hear that story just now?" ask Zulfikar.
"Of course I heard. I'm curious about the channel they're referring to." The flight attendant took his smart phone and opened the youtube application in it.
The first channel opened was a youtuber channel called Sukma Dewi. The steward who has the ability to sense supernatural things, feels that the channel really captures a shadow of a subtle creature.
"It looks like the appearance on this channel is genuine, Zul. I can feel it," said Pramuja.
"Although not clearly caught on camera, but I really feel this video is very gripping," said Zulfikar.
The steward tried to check out Ghost Family's channel. He just smiled watching one of the videos from that channel.
"I'm the one with the occult problem, knowing that the ghost in this video is just the one wearing the costume." Zulfikar commented first.
"You're right, Zul. There is-there is yes youtuber today," said Pramuja.
Pramuja idly open the live streaming show of the channel. He glanced at his watch. It's still about 10 p.m.
"New clock as soon as it has dared to live search haunted place. Which ghost would show up at 10 p.m?" Zulfikar commented.
"They just want to convince the audience. You see in their videos others are seen using camera effects and video editing techniques for the emergence and disappearance of the appearance of subtle creatures." The steward gave his analysis.
"What can they do on live shows? His ghost suddenly jumped from behind that tree? Or emerge from the sack?" Zulfikar laughed amusedly.
"We'll see first." The steward is suddenly interested in the channel using the phony ghost.
Ghost Family has two male hosts named Dion and Bayu, as well as a female host named Andini. It is not certain how many crews and people who act as ghosts.
The show starts by displaying an atmosphere like in a garden. Host Dion said that the place was very haunted and was once used as a dumping site for murder victims.
Host Bayu, who claims to have a 6th sense, said that the ghost of the murder victim was still hanging around there.
The camera suddenly turned to a tree. From behind the tree could be seen a white cloth fluttering from behind the tree.
"It looks like the ghost has already appeared!" host called Andini.
"Look at the cloth fluttering on the ground, guys! The ghost we saw was real yes without edits. Proof he's floating, guys!" Host Dion tries to convince the audience.
The three hosts immediately went behind the tree. Sure enough, there was a figure of a woman with long hair and dressed in all white was swinging slowly without touching the ground.
The three hosts were extremely shocked looking towards the tree trunk. A rope had been hooked there and the rest wrapped around the neck of the female ghost figure. The ghost of the woman did not move. Only her white dress fluttered in the night breeze, resulting in her body swinging slightly.
"Turn off the camera!" peekik Andinis.
The cameraman tried to turn off the camera footage but strangely could not. His hand moved itself towards one of the swaying tree trunks. A black shadow flashed swiftly from the direction of the tree towards the other tree.
"Hihihi .." a very scary giggling sound was heard before the camera finally completely died.
"Hurry and call the nearest police station, Zul! Something seems wrong!" The steward became anxious. He felt there was a discrepancy on the live show.
