Chapter 21 - Live Broadcast Murder

As per the location mentioned in the live broadcast video of Ghost Family channel, Pramuja and Zulfikar immediately moved towards TKP. The nearest police station they called.

At the scene of the incident there were already quite a number of people crowding. Apparently they are the viewers of the Ghost Family channel who are curious about the events on the live broadcast.

Police, who are already in TKP, installed a police line around the scene where the body was hanging. They also secured the Ghost Family hosts and crew members who were involved in the live broadcast video shoot.

The steward and Zulfikar entered through the police line and met with the investigating officer. They secretly displayed their members' mark cards to allow them to be in police lines.

The body of a woman dressed as a kuntilanak is still hanging on top of a tree. Investigators took several photos of the body along with photos of the TKP before lowering the body.

"The body temperature of the corpse is still warm. It looks like he's not long dead" one of the officers reported.

"He must have been killed by one of the five people at the scene" said the chief officer leading the investigation.

Five suspects have been gathered. The head of the investigation, who knew the Pramuja and knew his analytical skills, handed over the task of questioning the suspects to the Pramuja.

The steward started questioning the suspects. Of all the aging, the steward found there was an awkwardness.

The first suspect was Bayu who served as the host. He said that he knew nothing about the hanging corpse. The plan of the person who served as a ghost only appeared from behind a tree.

The second suspect is Dion. He said that before finding the victim hanging, he saw a black shadow behind the tree. He was convinced that the supernatural figure had killed the victim.

The third suspect is named Andini. He said that the hosts and crew were in the same place before coming to the location of the hanging corpse, while the person who acted as a ghost had been waiting for about 10 minutes alone under the tree.

The fourth suspect is named Candra. He served as a cameraman. He said it was in the same place as the hosts.

The fifth suspect is named Ela. She was in charge of dressing up people who became ghosts. He was the last person to be with the victim, but he said the victim was still alive and saw it for himself as the victim walked towards the tree where he was hiding.

Although the flight attendant discovered the gaffe from the description of one of the perpetrators, but their alibis can all be proven to each other.

"Did it be during the 10-minute interval that one of you left the gathering location?" pramuja asked, trying to find the weaknesses of the suspects' alibis.

"Bayu and Dion went about 5 minutes to urinate, while Candra had gone to the car to pick up her phone that was left behind for about 7 minutes" replied Andini.

"The distance between the location of the body depends on the crew gathered about 2 minutes if done on foot. Going home will take 4 minutes. 3 Minutes is enough to snare the victim's neck and hang it on a tree branch. Total time it takes about 7 minutes. "That means Candra has a chance to kill!" tuding Dion's.

"I swear, I'm not the one! I actually went to the car to pick up my phone." Candra denies Dion's accusations.

"Huh, you are good at handing out mistakes to others, even though you are the culprit yourself!" The steward said furiously while pointing at Dion.

"How could I do that? The time it takes is 7 minutes, while I go to urinate only takes about 5 minutes. Candra's the only person who's had 7 minutes." Dion defended himself.

"It is true that I say that the distance between the place where the bodies depend on the location you gathered takes about 2 minutes. But I told you if it was taken on foot. Running will take a shorter time. Maybe not 1 minute. That 5 minutes is enough for you to kill the victim." The servant explained calmly.

"I'm pretty sure you're the culprit!" The steward still insisted.

"You have no proof!" Dion didn't lose the rigour.

"The evidence is in your own words." The steward smiled meaningfully.

"I'm just guessing that the victim was killed by a ghost. Didn't you see that black shadow?" Dion asked his friends to justify his words.

"Yes, I also saw that black shadow. It looks like a real ghost." Andini.

"Actually I also saw a black shadow. But that's not the problem. During the live broadcast, you said that the cloth from the clothes worn by the victim was fluttering on the ground and you said that the ghost was flying. You haven't looked back at the tree. How did you know the ghost was floating? Though the plan is that the ghost only appears from behind the tree and does not float." The steward smiled with satisfaction.

"That's true too. Didn't we both see only the cloth fluttering slightly from behind the tree? We haven't seen the victim's body. How do you know the victim's body floated?" Bayu suspects Dion.

"I-i ..." Dion could say nothing more.

"Why did you kill the victim?" ask Pramuja.

"He wants to replace Andini as a host. I'm not really into that. He and Andini can take turns being hosts. But he asked for more. He wants his pay to go up 2 times. I can not accept it because all revenue from our Ghost Family youtube shared flat after deducting operational costs and others. But he threatened to expose all our lies on social media. I tried to persuade him earlier, but he went berserk. I had to snare his neck to silence him. I didn't mean to kill him." Dion tried to defend himself.

"Yet you lied. You were planning to kill him. Where do you get the rope to snare the neck and hang it if you haven't prepared from the beginning." The steward breaks Dion's defense.

The officers, who heard Dion's confession and the Preacher's explanation, rushed Dion to the police station.

"Thank you, Steward! You helped us solve the case." The chief investigating officer thanked.

"It turns out that the youtuber world is so violent that cases like this happen." Zulfiqar.

"I don't like youtuber-youtubers who justify all means to be famous, including by lying to the audience. May this case be a lesson so that no more people will tell such lies." The steward invited Zulfikar to leave the CTF.

"Can we talk for a second?"

A woman intercepts the steps of the Steward and Zulfikar.

"This boy is youtuber Sukma Goddess right?" Zulfikar recognized because he had watched the video on youtube.

"really so. I want to discuss something with you guys." The woman looks serious.

"Alright, then we look for a comfortable place to chat first" suggested the steward.

Pramuja and Zulfikar invite Sukma Dewi to chat at their cafe subscription. Sukma Dewi of course wants to discuss something related to the supernatural world.
