The time now shows at 11 p.m. Residents gathered in front of the police station were still screaming for the police to hand over Grandpa Paimin to them. It had been almost 2 hours they waited there and were still unwilling to disperse.
The flight attendant and Zulfikar got out of the car and walked past the group of angry villagers.
AKP. Wijayanto welcomed their arrival with pleasure. Because the cases handled are very complicated, the AKP. Wijayanto was forced not to go home even though it was late at night.
"I've heard of your abilities from your superiors, the AKP. Hendarto. I hope you guys can solve this case as soon as possible. You see for yourself the mass outside looks very impatient, right?" AKP. Wijayanto shook the hand of the Master and Zulfikar alternately.
"We'll do everything we can, sir!" sahut Pramuja's.
The steward was then met with Grandpa Paimin as the main suspect in the case.
"I didn't kill them, Mum! I myself do not know why they could suddenly die on the streets not far from my house." Grandpa Paimin said lethargic.
"If you may know, what do they do at home?" ask Zulfikar.
"They just asked for a massage as usual. I also use oil as usual. Nothing strange, Mom!" replied Grandpa Paimin.
"Did you feed them or drink something?" ask Pramuja.
"Nothing, Mom! I gave them nothing. After the massage, they went out to eat at a stall near my house" replied Grandpa Paimin.
"Hmmm .. It's possible that they were poisoned by food or drink from the shop." The steward started to guess.
"We have confiscated the remaining dishes from the stall that have not been washed. If it was poisoning, there would be evidence of the victims' leftover plates and glasses." AKP. Wijayanto explained.
"When did the autopsy and lab tests come out?" ask Pramuja.
"New tomorrow comes out the whole result. But the results of the examination of the glasses of drinks and seasonings on the plates of used food victims had come out this afternoon. No poison was found. There's still some more evidence to wait for lab results. Unfortunately, one more victim has just fallen. My men have been sent there to take her body to the hospital for an autopsy" the AKP replied. Wijayanto.
"I'm pretty sure this isn't a case of witch doctors, but a case of food poisoning." Premen.
"I don't believe this is a shaman's case either. But no poison was found in the rest of his food or his drinking glass. There is only massage oil belonging to Grandpa Paimin who has not yet come out of the test results. Since the ingredients of the massage oil contain chemicals, it takes longer to research them." AKP. Wijayanto.
"How about we get information from the people gathered outside?" Zulfikar.
"Is this Mas-Mas a cop?" ask a citizen.
"No, but we are detectives who were asked by Mr. Kapolsek to handle this case" Zulfikar replied. They had to keep their identities secret as intel.
"Huh, tape? What do you mean, Mas?" asked a villager innocently.
"Huss .. is not tape, but detective. It was like that on TV. Who investigated the murder." Another citizen straightened out.
"Is anyone able to explain the events of the gamble?" ask Zulfikar towards the citizens.
"Pak Kusno and Pak Paijo were farmers. After work, they went to Grandpa Paimin's house for a massage. After that they ate at Mang Engkus. I happen to eat there too. It is unlikely that they died of poisoning because I ate the same food as them" one resident said.
"That bill! They must be getting sucked! Who else would have done it if it wasn't Grandpa Paimin! They died after being massaged by him. Surely he has used Pak Kusno and Pak Paijo when massaging," said a resident with full emotion.
"Calm down, gentlemen! We cannot conclude based on personal assumptions. It needs to be supported by concrete evidence as well." Zulfikar tried to calm the emotional citizens.
"If the victim who just died how is the chronology?" ask the steward again.
"The one who just died was Mr. Slamet. He led the raid on Grandpa Paimin's house. Though he was in good health, but after Mr. Paimin was taken to the police station, he suddenly died." A citizen explained his chronology.
"Does he have a history of heart disease?" ask Pramuja.
"none. He always looks healthy. It's strange that he suddenly died. After all, before being taken to the police station, Grandpa Paimin was told to change clothes with the police inside his house. It must have been at that time he used Mr. Slamet. It is natural that he was angry with Mr. Slamet, because Mr. Slamet was the one who first accused him of witchcraft and Mr. Slamet also invited the residents to storm his house." A citizen explained it straightforwardly.
"Hmmm .. interesting case. Can anyone take us to Grandpa Paimin's house? We want to investigate the scene." The officer asked for help from the people.
One of the residents came forward to educate themselves. It just so happened that he was the one who first discovered the bodies of the victims.
The other villagers stayed at the police station. They can't go home quietly before the case is revealed and the culprit is caught.
