That book. Yes, the book! From the vision Anna gave her, Rena saw the woman was writing a diary when Sophie appeared and wanted to kill her. Anna had just returned from Gunawan's house with Mr. William, having discussed the matter of Sophie's spirit that continues to flounder.
From Gunawan's explanation, Sophie had done the ritual and used an object as a place to stay. They must eliminate the object that Sophie chose as a medium for her to stay if she wants to eliminate Sophie. That's how Anna knows, what she doesn't know is what holds Sophie's soul. More sadly, the woman died by the spirit of her own brother before being able to find the thing she was looking for.
But Rena knew something, she saw something that was the answer to Anna's big question. When Sophie killed Anna after gouging out the woman's eyeballs, Sophie did something very strange, which to be honest for Rena is not too surprising because there have been too many strange things that happened lately. Sophie somehow fused into Anna's diary, bringing with her the spirit of her sister.
And from that moment on, Sophie continued to dwell in the book with Anna. As Rena recalls, Sophie first appeared and nearly killed her when she found and read the book. Dara is bullied at her house while bringing the book home and Arysa has a nightmare because the book comes with her. He just had to destroy the book.
Rena exited the room and went straight into her room, picked up the book and went back to Daffa's room.
“Sophie, release them!” he shouted while brandishing the book in his right hand. “You will die right now, I will obliterate this book!”
Rena wanted to run straight into the kitchen and burn the book, but she suddenly became unsure. What if the book isn't what he needs? Doesn't it all feel so easy? The thing to eliminate the figure that almost killed him turned out to have been in his grasp all this time.
So she went back to Daffa's room to see Sophie's response and it turned out to be true. As she lifted the book, Sophie widened in surprise. His grip on Arsya and Marvin's neck came off, his hand falling to the floor. And whatever he had done to Grandpa Han stopped right then and there.
Marvin kicked the arm that was in front of him violently while cursing disdain. While Arsya takes a lot of breath while coughing. Grandpa Han pushed Sophie firmly while chanting another spell.
The chicken claw-like object was put back in the pocket because it was no longer useful. It can only be used to force a soul into the human body to come out. Now Sophie's out of Rana's body. She needs something else to eliminate Sophie and now she knows what she needs.
Sophie was indeed encouraged, but with a lightning-fast gesture she reappeared in front of Rena, seizing the book. Arsya who was next to the girl had understood that the key to making Sophie disappear from the face of the earth was the book. Due to the close enough distance, he managed to take the book out of Sophie's hands.
Sophie was angry and there was a book seizure between them. Arsya throws the book at Marvin as Sophie stands in front of him, with two arms ready to hold her back. That made Sophie scream loudly. The window glass broke and the objects in the room moved again, this time floating as if deliberately thrown in any direction.
Marvin didn't have time to dodge when the table lamp hit him hard on the head. The book in her hand was taken by Sophie's left arm, but was instantly snatched away again by Grandpa Han.
“It's over. It has been too long for you to fling and do evil deeds. Now it's time for you to come back, make up for everything you've done so far.”
Apparently the old man had already unscrewed the match and lit the lighter. Sophie roared furiously, but it was too late. The book is already on fire. Grandpa Han was still holding the book, making sure the fire did not die.
Sophie was stuck in place, rummaging while tugging at her frustrated hair. Maggots fell from his teeth and blood continued to pour from the empty cavity in his eyes. Her free arm on the floor burned and twitched, just like Sophie who was devoured by fire.
Grandfather Han kept the half-burned book on the floor, while continuing to chant. Rena stayed in place, subconsciously closing in on Arsya. Marvin who was sitting on the floor watched as he held his throbbing head in pain.
After Sophie's disappearance, Rena immediately approached Rana and Daffa who had been unconscious ever since. Arsya and Marvin—who still had his headache—lift Rana up to the bed. Rena raised Daffa, laid her down beside her mother.
They can all feel relieved now. Arsya and Marvin were surprised when one by one the spirits who inhabited the house appeared. Even Marvin cursed and took the table lamp that hit his head earlier, ready to throw if anyone attacked. However the figures only smiled kindly at them.
Rena had seen all of them, the fedora-hated man, Anna, the long-haired girl wearing the maid's shirt, the two-braided little girl and the girl in the old-fashioned suit in a monstrous shape. But this time they appeared in a human-like form, not frightening at all.
“Thank you,” said Anna, followed by the same greeting from the others.
Rena just smiled without answering, but that smile was full of meaning. Marvin was even more shocked when the figures had disappeared without a trace.
“They've gone?” ask Arsya.
“Yes, all this time the one holding them back was Sophie,” Grandpa Han replied.
Not long after, Marvin goes to pick up Dara. After Arsya comes to their house and asks Grandpa Han for help, the girl insists on coming along. But knowing the danger at hand, Grandpa Han forbade Dara to come along. Instead, he would allow Dara to come after all her troubles were over.
With her legs still sprained, Dara approached Rena. She was crying, not sad tears, but happy.
“Finally great-grandfather can calm down,” Dara said on the sidelines.
“You mean?”
“My father, great-grandfather Dara died after trying to eliminate Sophie. Therefore Dara is very obsessed with this house, more precisely what inhabits it and wants to eliminate it.” Again Grandpa Han explained.
“So you want revenge?”
Dara wiped her tears, then looked at Rena. “Gue instead want to benefit you, really. I'm really doing this because of Gun's grandfather, but also all help lo.”
Rana regained consciousness shortly afterwards, following Daffa. Rana accidentally did not call Yudha, waiting for her husband to come home first and tell her everything. Of course, Yudha was afraid, then angry because he was not heard immediately. It only lasted a moment. Most importantly everything is fine now, according to them.
