DEAD

DEAD
Section 28

They found Daffa lying unconscious in front of a dead TV. Arsya quickly approached the boy and shook his body slowly.

Arysa checked the pulse at Daffa's wrist, pulsing slowly. Rena watched with fear. He was quite agitated, but not to the point of panicking.

“Daffa why?” asked Rena after Arsya laid Daffa on the sofa properly.

“I don't know for sure,” replied the young man, “but his heart rate was weakening. I think he's been shocked to keep fainting. Daffa has no history of heart disease, ‘kan? Or maybe his parents?”

Rena shook her head slowly. Arsya then took the phone out of his pocket and immediately contacted someone.

“Halo, Doc. Yes, this is Arsya. Well, thank God good. Where is the doctor now? It's someone who fainted—not, not my family. My neighbor. I also don't know what the cause is. Whahuh? I'll tell you again that the doctor is here. Please come here, Doc. I will send the address via sms. Okay-okay, I wait, Doc. Thank you.”

Arsya disconnects and returns to pocket her phone after sending Rana's home address to the doctor she just called. Rena gently caressed her nephew's head.

“Daffa, you why else?” His voice was small and sad.

Arsya calms Rena down by saying everything is possible, but the girl can't really calm down until the doctor Arsya called her to come to her house.

“Hm, this is quite surprising actually,” said the doctor who examined Daffa. He was a tall man and had a soothing friendly face that was now wrinkled in wonder. “After I check, this child is sleeping, not fainting.”

“Sleep?” Rena looked surprised.

The doctor nodded. “Iya, sleep.”

“I think he fainted from shock, Doc. You know, he was yelling, when we saw he was unconscious.”

“But he sleeps.”

Arysa and Rena fell silent. Arsya himself is confused. It wasn't a doctor, but he knew the difference between fainting and sleeping. While Rena though was confused as well, but felt relieved. For him, Daffa is fine. Before that, he thought that Daffa was fine and just fell asleep.

After the doctor who turned out to be Arsya's own uncle left, until a few hours later, Daffa still did not wake up. Rena began to feel something strange, especially when she woke up for lunch, Daffa did not respond. Still sleeping, sleeping without sound and not moving. If her chest had not gone up and down the sign of still breathing, Rena would have thought that her nephew had died.

Arsya had come home from earlier and now Rena herself, feeling upset because Daffa did not wake up, did not want to wake up or maybe.

“Rana, I think we should talk.”

Yudha looked at his wife, her voice containing a serious tone. Rana just looked at her husband with a frown, then followed her husband into their room. Yudha had just come home from work and immediately wanted to have a serious talk with her, of course it was about Daffa.

Rana stood in front of Yudha who was now staring with a sharp and deep look, which she had never done to Rana before. Looking in often, but sharply, only this time.

“It seems that now we have to talk seriously and there should be clear results,” said Yudha, starting a conversation that Rana felt would be exhausting.

“You mean? Serious talk about what?” ask Rana. He knew this about Daffa, but did not quite understand what Yudha meant by his words just now. The obvious outcome? What outcome?

“About you and Daffa,” replied Yudha. “I think now is the time for you to stop working and really take care of Daffa aja.”

Rana looked at her husband in disbelief. “You are talking about this again after a few days ago we have discussed this and found the results? Not that the results are obvious, Dad. I can take care of you, home, Daffa, cooperation at once. I—”

“Gak, Na,” cut Yudha fast. His gaze grew sharper, starting to seem cold and angry. “You can't take care of everything at once.”

“You mean? I can, really. I ‘kan already said—”

“You always say that and see what the result is now. In fact, you can't handle everything well. If you could, Daffa wouldn't be like gini.”

Rana's surprised. What happened to her husband? Why is his attitude so different? He did not expect Yudha to say such a thing to him. Rana angry. Okay, indeed this time he did not pay attention to Daffa so well that Daffa fell down the stairs, but before that he took care of everything well. Can't everyone make mistakes too? Rana didn't mean to defend herself, but she also felt scared when her son went to the hospital and broke his leg. He felt the same with Yudha.

With her sentence just now, Rana felt that Yudha clearly underestimated her and did not consider everything she had done before. Rana was angry that Yudha did not appreciate her hard work.

“So you fucked me, huh? Daffa fell down the stairs because of me and now Daffa hasn't gotten up because of me? You mean that, ‘kan?” Rana looked back at Yudha in anger. “Yudha you are too fond of me, ngeremehin my sister. Okay, I was wrong because that time couldn't prevent Daffa from falling down the stairs, but now you're still wrong with me? Daffa can't wake up and you also turn on Rena because of that?”

“I didn't turn on Rena, not at all. Your sister is good to take care of Daffa while her mother is busy working. Here we do not need to discuss Rena, which should be discussed it you.”

“Why are you, anyway? I know you're tired now, work in the office a lot and there's still a lot you have to do, go home late and all kinds of other problems, he said, but that you can not be a reason to vent everything the same I.”

“Do not recriminate, Na. I'm not venting it all the same as you, just discussing what to discuss.”

“What to discuss? Everything is clear in my opinion.” Rana's tone began to cool.

Yudha glared and with a slight shout she said, “Your son is now not awake and you are still stubborn gini? You rock or something, Na? You can't be that stupid until you still don't think I mean it. Our son is now why! Did you hear the doctor who just came home? Daffa sleeps, just sleeps! But until now he was not awake! You think Daffa sleeps from eight in the morning to six and not waking up is natural? I just want you to take good care of your son, so that things like this don't happen again in the future. Isn't the money I gave you enough? My own salary can support our family, kok.”

Actually, Rana felt a little what Yudha said there was a point, but because she was already angry, she did not want to know anymore.

“You think it's just a matter of money? You think I'm crazy money? If I were that kind of person, I wouldn't have married you!”

After saying that, Rana came out and slammed the door. Yudha snorted violently, ruffling her hair in frustration.
