“Rena!”
“We have to break down the door!”
“Quick!”
The screams sounded simple to each other, following the sound of the door being pounded from the outside. While inside the house, Rena is again trying to escape Sophie's strangulation.
Grandpa Han stepped aside, giving access to Arsya and Marvin who had already taken a swing to break down the door. On the count of three, the two young men directly charged over and crashed themselves into the door fiercely.
They managed to open the door on the first try even though their bodies were quite sore. But there is no time to complain of pain. After the door opened, Arsya immediately ran over, helping Rena remove Sophie's grip on her neck. She pulled Sophie's arm hard. Marvin did the same. Both Arsya and Marvin push Sophie away from Rena.
Rena coughed as her neck went free, then took a deep breath. With Arsya and Marvin, he wanted to cry. Really, everything Sophie did to her managed to scare her to death.
“Udah, relax. We're all here, don't be afraid.” Arsya acted like a loving boyfriend, hugged Rena and stroked her head slowly.
Marvin turned his eyes to see the behavior of his best friend, never thought that Arsya could-can be mode at a time like this. Arsya saw Marvin's response and immediately released Rena. Suddenly he realized that his behavior just now must have seemed to deliberately look for an opportunity, but in the depths of his heart Arsya had no intention of doing such a thing. He really wanted to calm Rena down and seemed to get carried away.
The door suddenly closed again, making those inside suddenly focus on one place. When attention is not on her, Sophie runs like a lion chasing prey. Marvin is closest to him.
Han's grandfather, who had been silently watching Sophie from the corner of his eye as the young men focused on something else, quickly walked across the distance between Sophie and Marvin. He raised his left hand and muttered something not so clear in a soft voice.
It brought Sophie's movements to a standstill, she was held back by an invisible force for a while.
“Mati!” Sophie screamed and roared in obscurity in Dutch.
“Stop!” Grandpa Han shouted back. His jaw hardened and his eyes bulged sharply. His old face implied that he was really angry.
Shouted like that, Sophie fell silent. He shook his head while grinning widely. Arsya was surprised, Marvin jumped back while swearing. Just this time they actually saw Sophie's look. From earlier, when they managed to enter the house, the woman's face was covered by black hair, all they saw was a faint faint.
Arsya and Marvin thought she was Rana in a trance, as Daffa had told her over the phone. Now the hair no longer covered that face, showing its true appearance. Indeed, the one standing in front of him was Rana, but his face was different, scary and creepy.
Arsya remembered that face, that was the figure she saw in the dream, who was with Rena. So right, he had a nightmare for having brought the book with him and now his nightmare had come true. Although it's not the same thing, Sophie's real. There and standing in front of them.
Sophie laughed loudly, a terrible laugh.
“Dead! Die up! Die!” yell again. His hand moved like it was removing the shackles that had held him in place. He again grinned, some maggots falling from his mouth as his laughter returned.
Without anyone expecting it, Sophie ran up the stairs. It really didn't look like a human, its steps were quick and like it didn't touch the floor.
No need to explain anymore, Arsya, Marvin and Grandpa Han already understand what Rena means. Moreover, from earlier they had not seen Daffa, of course the child was in another room in this house.
“Quick!”
Grandpa Han who was the first to make a move, caught up with Sophie.
“Daffa where?” ask Arsya.
“In his room.”
After getting an answer, Arsya ran with all her might, passing the old man and Rena who ran first. Marvin followed Arsya. Right now they have to move quickly or Sophie will do bad things to Daffa.
The sound of their steps echoed, becoming the background sound of that tense scene. Arsya and Marvin arrived first in Daffa's room than Rena and Grandpa Han, but they were late. The door of the room opened, Sophie was already standing while holding Daffa in her grip.
“Let the boy go, Sophie!” Grandpa Han who had just arrived shouted. From the pocket of his black robe was taken out a small object that Rena had seen in the man's sitting room. It was shaped like a chicken claw, but Rena knew that it was the root of a tree. I don't know what tree.
“Mati ..”
The bedroom window was closed, but the window curtain twitched like it was being blown by a strong wind. The room slowly darkened, it was overcast. Black clouds gathered. Lightning suddenly struck hard, then suddenly it rained heavily. The atmosphere of the room changed. They could feel the gripping aura of anger emanating from Rana's body that Sophie had inside.
A wide grin continued to decorate Sophie's shattered face. His eyes that stayed one and stuck out twitched. In front of her, Daffa just stood up staring blankly, it seemed like Sophie had already done something to the child.
“Sophie!” Grandpa Han came forward and poked the small object towards Sophie while again muttering something vague, a spell.
Sophie was pushed back, and Daffa bounced along with her because her shoulder was pulled. They hit the wall hard, making Sophie growl. The curtains move faster, even the things that are there. Beds, cabinets, tables, chairs, everything shook violently as if there was a terrible earthquake.
“Arghhh!” Sophie bellowed furiously, stood up and glared at Grandpa Han.
“You can't kill me,” Sophie said in Dutch. “Never can. You might hurt me with that thing, but you can't kill me. I'll never die. You're gonna die any minute, just like the lowly people I killed. You're all the same, lowly people, I'll kill!”
Sophie shouted, she came out of Rana's body that instantly fainted next to Daffa who was also unconscious. His black dress floated like the wind, his broken arm was now on the neck of Arsya and Marvin who were trying to break away.
When entering Rana's body, Sophie could not freely move because Rana also tried to fight him in there. But now, nothing could stand in his way. He had already been forced out and was furious, wanting to kill all of them with his hands, stopping messing around like that earlier.
Sophie disappeared and appeared right in front of Grandpa Han. He just glared and the old man was already unable to move. Rena recalled what Anna had shown her. Sophie dies by suicide, surrendering her soul to the devil and becoming the devil himself. He had gone on for too long and killed many people, therefore he had become strong.
In the shadow of that past, Rena also saw Anna's death and from there she realized, there might be something she could do to eliminate Sophie.
