06: The wounded prince [1]

The fragrant aroma of various flowers filled the small shop room of Serena, now she has returned to her routine as a florist. The girl looks neat and graceful wearing a knee-length white dress, her long hair braided to add a sweet impression on her.

Early in the morning there are already some people who come there to buy flowers, starting from loyal customers or people who are interested and happen to want it.

"I'm hungry...." Mumbled Serena.

He had not had breakfast, the girl sat down lethargic and face down at his cashier's desk. He was not so excited today, re-opening the store made him remember so many memories with his mother.

The smell of the flowers and the place always brings it back to the past. She used to help her mother run a flower shop, which is where they spent time together. Sometimes he also saw his mother crying alone in this room with the lights closed while holding a necklace that his father had given him first.

Serena hated him, she hated it so much when she saw her mother again shedding tears for the man. Even so he would always approach and calm his mother by taking a rose and giving it to the woman.

I remember the past again.....

The girl sighed harshly.

Serena got up from her seat, she received an order for a bouquet of flowers from someone and of course had to work on it immediately. Today was quite busy because there were many customers who arrived once the store was opened, even he had to open the store until night because there was someone waiting for him to make a bouquet of roses with a large size.

"Akhh.., it feels like my waist is going to break." Ringis Serena as soon as she stretches her body.

It's been 07:00 p.m. and he just closed his shop, today was so tiring for him. Even so, all his fatigue seemed to pay off when he saw his income today.

"Waw, it turns out I made a lot of money." He said amazed while counting the money from the sale.

The noise from the frying pan broke the silence of the night, the fragrant aroma of the cuisine also burst out to fill the kitchen. Yes, Serena has not slept and now she is cooking dinner which can be said to be very late.

After the food he cooked was cooked, the girl directly devoured it. Sepi, this is the reason why he is so lazy to eat dinner. He hated sitting alone in the dining room, chewing food in silence and the loneliness of the night seemed to make his hunger disappear carried away by the wind.

So annoying....

Serena chewed her food lazily.

Somehow he missed his best friend who was out of town, because usually his best friend often came to ask for dinner. Although it was troublesome, Serena still liked it. At least the house wasn't too quiet if that person was here right now.

"Do I have to adopt a pet?" He muttered while stirring up lazy spaghetti inside his plate.

The girl seemed to be thinking out loud, but she was startled by a noise from behind the house. Of course he was surprised to get up and check what was going on back there with a peek through the window.

"What was that?" Whispers slowly.

His eyes kept sweeping around. At first he did not find anything strange, but the girl was shocked when she saw something that was beyond her expectations.

He could recognize very clearly what he saw, someone with a messy appearance and long hair.

How could he be here?!

Serena was about to scream, but she could hold it.

His feelings are mixed now. Fear, surprise and so on seemed to blend into one.

"He's following me or what?" Mumbled worried.

Serena was petrified beside her window, knowing Van was behind her house now was a strange thing that scared her. Suddenly his brain remembers some scenes that are usually found in horror or murder movies. Like a girl killed by a stalker, followed by a freak and then killed.

Serena tried to brush off all those thoughts while patting her head.

He looked back from the window. Sure enough, Van was still faithfully sitting near the pot of roses that had been damaged before. But the girl was pensive when she saw Van gently caressing the petals and then shaking her head happily, the man touched her gently as if afraid that the flower would fall when he touched too roughly.

Serena was silent, her heart was filled to see what Van was doing back there.

"Did she like flowers?" Lirih Serena's.

His feet stepped towards the door, the girl's fingers moved to open the door lock and pull the handle. As soon as the door opened, Serena fell silent as she was greeted by the innocent gaze of Van sitting behind her but turned to her.

"Why are you here?" Serena's sudden speech made Van surprised, the man growled softly.

There was no telling of course, Van just stared at him without flinching. Serena slowly approached, but it made Van move back away from her.

"H-hey.., wait!" Shouted Serena while half running.

But it was too late, Van now ran away and disappeared into the forest behind his house. The flower garden back there is directly side by side with the forest that is not too lush. The distance of his house and other neighbors is quite tenuous, they are separated by small gardens and vacant land filled by various trees.

"How does he know this place?" Sluggishly.

Serena stared flat at the spot where Van had disappeared, there was no way she was chasing after the man now.

I have to go there tomorrow.

His mind as he stepped back into his home.

Early in the morning Serena was awake, and she was awakened by one of her neighbors. The old woman named Rose handed out pumpkin soup and a basket of fruits, it was common because Rose was quite close to her mother.

Serena ate her breakfast, she had to get ready to open a shop and do her routine.

"Maybe it's the afternoon.." murmured Serena, "looking for money is more important." Added again.

The girl immediately tidied up her shop, after opening the curtains and the signboard "open" then her work today was started.

He checked out some of the often purchased flower supplies. Everything is still quite a lot, except roses are often used.

"Must take from the garden...." Say Serena while picking up flower cutters and carrying a basket.

He went to the garden behind his house, where it looked very beautiful during the day. The plants that grow there are also very fertile and healthy because of the supporting land, not even need to do extra care they are good enough. Usually Serena only needs to fertilize a few times a week or clean the garden area to stay awake.

"Hello pretty kids~" Serena said happily as she looked at the swarm of red roses that were still buds.

He cut the roses one by one, but when he saw the flower it made him remember the Van that was here last night.

Serena stared at the flowers in her basket for a long time, and she could clearly remember how Van played with them like a child with no friends.

Huh..., you troublesome!

He got up with a flower basket filled with only a few roses, the girl went back into the shop and flipped the signboard to "close".
