Scotland, 1776.
In a remote village, there live three twin brothers who work as hunters. They have been abandoned by their parents since childhood until forced to survive with a blacksmith who is none other than the elder in the village named Logan.
The three men grew up with pressure and strength until they grew up to be brave men. The eldest son named Sam, then followed by Sivian, and the youngest named Sean.
Although Sam was the oldest brother among them, he was the most childish. Curiosity and selfishness often make Sivian and Sean too difficult. They stay together and protect each other.
They were very famous among the villagers, their brave nature and also their incredible strength made them flattered and praised. Plus because they are students as well as adopted children of Logan, their name is glorified because it is considered as the three pillars of the village guard.
The traders, ranchers or farmers in the village lived peacefully because there was no longer a problem of attacks by wild animals such as wolves and the like. The three twin brothers were adept at making traps and also weapons to repel beasts, which was why the village became safe thanks to them.
One day, Sam invites his two brothers to go hunting.
"Come on! This is the right time to hunt, we can catch a big deer while having fun" said Sam.
"Hunting is fun, Sam. But not if you want to go to that forest, "Sivian said while forging hot iron.
"Gee! Are you guys scared?! What is in the forest anyway? You guys really believe in fairy tales about witches?" Reply Sam with sarcasm.
Sivian just sighed tired, her brother was always stubborn.
"Mr Logan does not allow us to go to that place, so do not mess around," Sivian tidied up his tools because he was done with his activities.
Sam put on an annoyed face, the man rolled his eyeballs then took out the arrow that Sivian had just finished making.
"How about we test this poisoned arrow of yours, the wisest Lord Sivian?" Sam's circus with amused ruckus.
Sivian looked at his brother with a lazy look, he was used to facing Sam's stubborn and arrogant behavior.
"It's poisonous, I made it for experimentation, so don't mess with it." Firmly Sivian with a flat face.
"Hoho's? Precisely because you haven't tested it, my sister. Let your brother help, will he?" Sam replied with a small laugh.
Almost every day there is always an argument between the oldest, although it is clear that the first one always starts Sam.
One day, Sam disappears along with a weapon Sivian just made. He left a piece of paper with a note to tell his brother if he went hunting in the forbidden forest.
Sivian and Sean are of course panicked, given how bad Sam's behavior is but still he is their brother. Sivian decides to immediately go find Sam's whereabouts and take him home, followed by Sean they go after the older brother.
For a long time they walked through the thick forest on horseback. It was night and their vision was now very limited, but Sam's trail was still undiscovered.
They entered further into the forbidden forest which is often referred to as the Moon Godhead, where it is believed to be the border between the village of humans and witches.
Sivian did not reply, they stopped at the edge of the vast meadow. Unexpectedly there Sivian saw a silhouette that he was very familiar with. Yes, Sam was seen hiding behind a boulder.
Sivian and Sean of course went straight to him. Sam was surprised by their presence, but he immediately told Sivian and Sean to go into hiding.
"Look, isn't that the golden antler deer Logan always told you about?" Whispering Sam while pointing at a deer in the middle of the meadow, the deer antlers look shiny like gold when hit by the moonlight.
Sivian, who was ready to spray Sam with some curses, is now stunned to see the deer, as well as Sean, whose mouth is now gaping wide in admiration for what he saw.
Sam had prepared an arrow, but he stopped when he saw a pack of wolves besieging the golden deer. The wolf pack is seen revolving around the deer by forming a circular pattern, their howls are mutual.
"Didn't the howling of the wolves sound strange?" Sean whispered with a confused face.
Sivian and Sam looked at each other's youngest brother. They turned back to the deer, but both were shocked because the golden deer had been torn apart by the wolves.
"DON'T!!" Furious Sam, he immediately got up but Sivian immediately held him back.
"Wait, Logan says the golden deer is immortal. So, why did that one over there die?" Sean whispered between his two brothers.
"Fuck the perennial deer, the damn wolves I'll finish for snatching mine at will!" Said Sam furiously, he took out his bow as well as Sivian's poisoned arrow which he had stolen.
"What are you doing, you idiot?!" Sivian again held Sam back for not wanting to see his brother in trouble.
"Don't be a wise ass here! I just want to teach those wolves a lesson! Don't block me?" Angry Sam.
Sivian and Sean were at a loss for words, no matter how much they held him back, Sam's strength was indeed far above theirs.
One by one arrows shot, each arrow was always on target hitting the wolves to make them fall immediately. There were 4 wolves and now they are all lying on the ground.
"Why did you kill them?!" Sivian was completely inexhaustible with what Sam had done.
"Punishment," Oozed Sam coldly, "come back, my feelings are bad because of that damn wolf." Sam passed away leaving Sivian and Sean staring pusar towards the expanse of corpses of wolves.
That night they returned home and rested, all the way Sam did not stop cursing the wolves who took out the golden deer.
"What "damned forest? I'm fine." Said Sam when they got home.
That night they rested as usual, but without them realizing now some shadow-robed figures were already around the house. The dense cold made the night animals that were around there move away, each sweep of the robes of the walking black figures leaving behind a cold mark like black ice that froze the grass.
"The lowly creatures who do not know themselves...." Hoarseness flowed in the silence of the night, pale hands with long black nails rubbing gently the door of the house they were coming to.
