Cursed And Love's

Cursed And Love's
04: Forest monster [02]

"What are you doing here?!"

Serena flinched, she knew clearly who the owner of the voice was.

"What are you doing? Didn't I warn you this morning?" Harry said with a cold face.

Yes, apparently the loud gunshot came from the man's rifle. He carried several large birds that had died, it was clear that the animal was the result of the explosion of weapons belonging to Harry.

"You surprised me" said Serena, trying to hide her nervousness, though it looked very natural.

Harry scrunched his forehead, scrutinizing Serena and her surroundings. The man's cold and flat expression was always the same, making anyone who came face to face with him would feel intimidated as time went on.

"Ah, I just want to paint. I'm done anyway and I'll be right away"

"It's like you've always been stubborn" Harry said, "come home, your mother won't be happy if something bad happens to you in this place." Further again.

Serena was silent, she was worried that Harry would ask her more, but the man only uttered words that were beyond her prejudice.

"Yes, I'm going home too." Say Serena while cleaning her luggage.

The girl picked up the food container that was scattered on the ground because of the wild men she had met earlier, it certainly made Harry look at her in surprise.

"I dropped this because I saw a squirrel and wanted to catch it" said Serena, who realized Harry was looking at it in surprise, "huh, it's a mess."

Somehow he prefers to act and hide what really happened, his feelings say if it is better not to tell anyone first about the wild man.

"Why are you still here?" Serena asked who was astonished because Harry was waiting for her to improve.

"I'm also going home, it's going to be dark, let's go." Harry replied expressionlessly and immediately stepped away.

Serena tailed behind the man, Harry so tall that Serena looked petite next to him.

"I come here often because I miss her" Serena broke the silence.

There was no telling, only the boisterous sound of the wind and the clattering of bells on the bike being pushed by Serena.

"For now you better stay away from this place." Harry replied after a long time he was silent.

"You're hanging around here yourself, why can't I?" Serena replied in a disapproving tone.

Harry stopped his steps and made Serena stop too.

"What's wrong?" Serena asked in surprise.

"Have you heard of the curse-bearer?" Harry said in a serious tone

While Serena only put on a confused face, the girl did not understand what the old man was saying.

"The....., what was that? What curse?" Serena frowned in wonder.

"It's just a legend." Harry continued his steps.

"Did? Explain to me!" Shouted Serena who again pushed her bike to catch up with Harry.

****

Serena placed her bicycle next to the house, walking in a barren step while thinking about what Harry had just told her on the way home.

I don't know why he felt so strange after hearing that story. "The bearer of curses", legends from earlier people who he said may still exist today.

Not a few steps he headed to the yard, Serena was surprised by the arrival of two policemen who seemed to be patrolling.

"Good afternoon, Miss. Can we ask for a minute?" Said one of the policemen.

"Yes, of course," Serena replied with a confused-looking face.

"You must have heard about what happened in the city recently, because in your data you are one of the original inhabitants of this place then may we ask you some things?" The police started the conversation.

"Yeah, just ask me what you want,".

*****

It was night, and Serena was getting ready for bed. Before that he went outside again to check if all the doors were locked.

These few days were a little different than usual, quite a lot of unexpected things had happened to him. Everything felt so contrasting because after the departure of the mother her life was so flat and lonely, the girl just lived alone by continuing her mother's small business.

Serena entered the room, a room of considerable size next to her house. But the room is still accessible and connected to the main building.

How long has it been since I closed this store?

His inner.

On the eve of the anniversary of her mother's death last week, Serena closed the store with the aim of resting. But until now he has not reopened it, the flowers in there have even been damaged.

"Well, tomorrow I'll pack it up" he said with a sigh of weariness.

The night was late and he intended to take a break after eating a few snacks, but just stepping he was already startled with a loud noise behind his house.

His voice was like a falling pot, behind his house there was indeed a flower garden and of course there were a lot of plant pots there.

"What else is this...." Mumbled.

He walked into the kitchen and tried to slowly remove the window curtain. She was actually a little scared, but Serena still dared herself to peek.

His eyes scrutinized and swept the back area of the house from behind the glass window, but all he found was the sight of a deserted flower garden illuminated by the dim light of the lights for lighting there. He could also see a pot of roses that were no longer shaped lying on the ground.

"Damn it!" Hisses.

Without thinking, Serena opened the back door of her house and ran to the spot where the pot had fallen, she immediately picked up the small rose.

"Huh..., why did this fall?" His grunt while looking for another empty pot around there.

Serena put the rose into a new pot, it was precious for her because it was her mother's favorite.

Without realizing it, there was a pair of eyes that were watching him carefully. The yellow net was gleaming with Serena's every move.

While the girl did not realize it at all, after putting her rose back to a safer place she now went back into the house.

Her legs stopped in the doorway, Serena looked back. A small garden filled with various flowers, deserted. I don't know why he felt like someone was watching him.

Is it just my feelings?

Serena rubbed her cold palms.

The girl went in and closed the door, she was going to rest. While the owner of the yellow netra was now right where serena put her rose tree.

His hand touched the flower, gently stroking each of its petals.
