Combined In Marriage

Combined In Marriage
Dined together

Mas Dimas usually buys food from the outside, and,

we never ate together at all. I always eat early and it seems like he is also waiting for me to eat first except in the morning. For breakfast I will wait for him to eat first because he will go to work.

I want to buy two packs, but I'm afraid that Mas Dimas won't eat them. But anyway I bought it with his money, although we rarely talk maybe even almost never but he always provides me well. I got the money from the safe downstairs

he said I could take it if I needed the money.

My chicken noodles are ready, the seller's mamang is very friendly, joking with him makes me feel a little cool breeze in the heart. When the seller Mamang gave the package I saw the car belonging to Mas Dimas who came. I was so surprised, I had never been out of the house before other than when I had just come after marriage, something like this suddenly made me awkward.

He looked at me for a moment, then looked back on the road and loaded the car into the garage.

I was so scared myself that even if I didn't do anything wrong, I was afraid I would meet him. I'm ashamed and not confident, actually that's what I'm feeling. I rationed the chicken noodles I bought and went into the house.

"What are you doing out there?" he asked subtly.

I could only shut up, afraid to make a sound because I didn't dare to talk to her. He didn't actually look scary, he wasn't scary at all. But I'm a little embarrassed talking to him.

"I-I just went out for a while and saw there was a chicken noodle seller who came Mas"

"You're gonna eat that?"

"I bought two packs!" I said it shamelessly, those are the words I had prepared while walking in earlier, I want him to eat this chicken noodle as well for fear of being wasted. He looked at me in wonder making me so very, very embarrassed at this moment.

"Well, you want to eat together?" Thank goodness she spoke, I forced my mind if she had forgotten that snatching sentence.

"Yes" I answered so quickly.

I prepared the dining table while Mas Dimas went upstairs to clean himself up. He brought food from the outside again, he always did, every day I just needed to cook rice. I cooked it before she woke up and in the afternoon before she came home from work.

~Author POV~

Dimas saw Ajeng outside when he came home from the office, he wondered why his wife was suddenly outside the house, he was very surprised because he himself rarely saw the hooded woman wandering around the house. Dimas went into the house and put the food he bought at the dinner table. Dimas wanted to ask and he did.

Dimas saw Ajeng as a beautiful woman who was devoutly religious, he even admired her. Although there is no sense of feeling for the woman he married as a couple. But do not know as a woman and a man who live in one roof of the house.

That night Dimas wanted to say that tomorrow he would marry Sarah betrothed because of his parents who did not approve of his relationship with Sarah. Dimas did not tell his parents because his mother, who was seriously ill, would bring Sarah home tomorrow and live together.

After the meal, Ajeng cleaned the table and went to wash the dishes. Dimas looked towards the small shoulder, he stood up and walked towards Ajeng looking at the veil-clad woman.

"Ajeng" called out to Ajeng slowly, Ajeng reflexively turned around and looked at the man behind him.

"Yes" replied.

"Tomorrow Sarah will come here"

"Yes mas" Ajeng simply nodded his head in understanding.

"Then Mas went up first" Ajeng nodded his head again assenting.

Dimas went upstairs, Ajeng turned around and came back with his plate, he felt a little pain in his heart even though he did not know for sure how he felt. His eyes turned red and suddenly shed tears, he cried softly then finished his work, then rushed back to his room.

Ajeng felt sad, he went to the bathroom and washed his face, then he took ablution to worship.
