Stiffen..
Kreeks!
The gate was creaking loudly. Produces a deafening echoing rhythm. The Crown Prince's bodyguards entered, lined up neatly making two lanes for the welcome. It was so glare, that they narrowed their eyes to pierce through the incoming light ascertaining who was coming. Until a man they knew very well walked in from the middle of the gate. Eunuch Cho, ran carrying some special piles of paper towards the king's throne. Meanwhile, Jung Hyun the Crown Prince's personal bodyguard ran to the other side of the throne.
Prime Minister Han was stunned. The sea of commotion became calm and silent. Their eye beads turned far tense. Absolutely beyond belief, the Heir to the Throne entered the meeting hall with his dashing haughty steps. The typical official attire of the heir to the throne that the Crown Prince had never worn he ended up using to enter that hate hall.
None of them smiled happily, a sign of gratitude. Some of them even slapped their own cheeks to make sure this was not a dream. The Secretary of State smiled proudly, immediately stepping away from where he stood to make way. Forcibly, all those glaring eyes gave a salute of honor, bending their bodies 90 degrees.
"Welcome, Your Highness the Crown Prince."
At once they said their greetings, until the eyes as sharp as an eagle were immediately wandering staring at them one by one. The Crown Prince climbed slowly past the steps to sit on the throne. However, his steps came to a halt at the last rung, then turned to face the ministers who were still bowing their bodies.
"Sit down." The Crown Prince's orders were increasingly astonishing. This was the first time a meeting leader had asked the audience to sit down. They glanced at each other, before finally they actually sat cross-legged on the tiles. The first time for them, hearing the voice of the Crown Prince was heavy, and very manly. Show me something extraordinary.
"Is that really Crown Prince?" whispered one of the ministers to a colleague next to him.
"From his eyes, he seemed to be very handsome. Not as people say," he added afterwards.
The Crown Prince sat on top of that rung, not touching the throne at all, making all those shuddering in disbelief astonished.
"Eunuch Cho, bring close all the decree."
Eunuch Cho brought the pile of fancy paper before the Crown Prince. The Crown Prince opened the paper one by one, until he accidentally read a petition signed by some residents.
"Remove the title of Crown Prince to Prince Baek Hyeon!"
The Crown Prince stood up, throwing the paper out of his hands before the ministers. They were all extremely shocked, lamenting what was written on it.
"Who wants my title revoked?" The Crown Prince's question is completely out of his head. None of them dared to raise their hands to make a sound. Can only be bowed shy not dare to look at the heir to the throne.
The Crown Prince grabbed another paper. This time issued an extraordinary decision that made them instantly glare sharply at him.
"I will send a confidant of the king to negotiate with the Qing Dynasty. There is no land grab of political power. And, I'm going to repeal the tax payment system for the people."
Jung Hyun, the bodyguard spontaneously turned to the Crown Prince. Completely distrustful of what the Crown Prince's decision was.
"Your Majesty, how can you mel.." a quick refute one of the ministers was cut off by the Crown Prince's quick rebuttal.
"The landlord pays 70 percent tax and the people pay 30 percent. If there are still people who are forced to pay 80 percent, leave me the name of the official. I will remove his status and remove him from this country with his entire family" the Crown Prince added whether they agree or not.
"Your Majesty, you can't arbitrarily go against a decision. All the rules and orders made by the king are inviolable. For decades people who borrowed land had to pay an 80 percent tax, while landlords were only 20 percent. This will cause economic disparities" the Chief Minister of Finance and Taxation denied.
"Your Majesty, however, you can't change the rules that are already in place" refuted the others.
"Did I ask you to talk? I am the heir to the throne of this kingdom. I have the right to change everything." The meeting hall was getting darker, the ministers' hearts continued to curse and wanted to fight immediately. Merely, they were frightened as the extremely frightening aura of the Crown Prince filled almost the entire corner of the room.
The Crown Prince took out another paper. "There is no more tax payment for clean water" he said.
"Your Majesty! You can't unplug and change existing rules!" the ministers' protests eventually spilled. They even shouted no more respect to the Crown Prince.
"Did your father own the earth and the water of this earth?" ask the Crown Prince to relax. The Crown Prince walked down the stairs, before finally continuing his sentence. "You drank wine with the women in the brothels as much. Shower and drink water. Free and do not pay, is it because you own this earth? Then I'm much poorer than you."
Hearing him the ministers could only stroke the chest. It was eager for them to throw spears and swords at the neck of the Crown Prince who decided matters without being close together. "Your Majesty, the king will not accept this decision!"
"If the king does not accept it, I am ready to step back from my position and replace everything with the wealth I have," the Crown Prince quickly refuted, further heating up the atmosphere.
The Crown Prince sat down on the stairs again. "I revoked the defendant's status on my wife, the Crown Princess. Cleansing your name and apology letter to the Crown Princess from you will be waiting for me in 2 weeks. This case I'm officially closed. No more charges for my queen."
The Crown Prince looked at the ministers' faces one-on-one. They quickly lowered their eyes. "I will punish whoever was behind the attack that happened to my wife a while ago."
They were no longer able to speak or refute the Crown Prince's words. Prime Minister Han who from earlier could only shut up finally let out a compliment. Amazed the whole assembly hall.
"Thank you for all your wisdom, Your Majesty. It's great to see you here in good health and in good spirits" Prime Minister Han replied.
Behind that cloth-covered face, the Crown Prince smiled faintly. He immediately closed the meeting that day. However, his move came to a halt when Prime Minister Han returned to his voice.
"Your Majesty, the people are throwing perpetual hatred at you. Later, they petitioned for a new, more surprising reason. Servant thinks, You definitely know what you have to do," Prime Minister Han added.
The Crown Prince stood up, immediately stray from the place. He walked over to Prime Minister Han, making everyone even more frightened. His tall body was too gallant to stand in front of the old man. "They were too busy interfering in my personal affairs. I hope you don't do the same." Soon after, the Crown Prince walked out of the meeting hall with his servants and guards, without saying a closing word or just an apology for making them wait a long time.
A moment after the Crown Prince walked away, all the anger that had been in the crown was finally released.
"Truly despicable! That child who doesn't know himself hasn't even become a king! How dare he make a new rule when no one needs his decision!" the ministers shouted to connect with each other.
"Wait, isn't it weird that he closed the murder trial that happened to him? He should be looking deep behind it all." The ministers threw each other suspicious looks.
Prime Minister Han could only fall silent after getting the super sharp words from the Crown Prince earlier. He pretended to be calm, to trick the ministers.
"Hey Prime Minister Han! What did you mean to the Crown Prince earlier?" asked one of the ministers to be welcomed by another. They all turned to Prime Minister Han.
Prime Minister Han looks very polite and relaxed. He smiled before answering the question. "Child. He had to have a child so that people would not hate him more. Prince Yul is married. Two camps will be created, if Prince Yul first planted seeds in the palace."
"He will have no children, from a wife who loves my son. It's a pity for you, Your Majesty," muttered Prime Minister Han, for a moment after stopping to speak.
