Chapter 03: The Next Job

Ardhi sat in the corner hugging his knees, how else would he be a normal young man, to be able to sleep with a beautiful girl one bed was enough to make him restless.

The girl in question woke up while yawning wide.

"Owh...why did Ardhi sleep there?"

"I'm just trying to feel the floor."

"Felt?!"

How can a girl seem to be fine without being affected? thought Ardhi, it felt like he himself was nervous because of the strange feeling and he felt stupid.

Putting that aside they left the inn and took on a new job, collecting herbs would be boring so they would take on the job of cleaning the dirty canals.

Since no one was willing to accept this job, everyone would be given 6 silver coins for one day.

"The pay is tempting enough, but you're sure you'll get used to cleaning up the canal?"

"Nothing, at least I'll be a little useful now. In fact I'm surprised that Nisa sometimes does things like this."

"What can I do, not to live."

They used nose covers, scopes and carts, alternately dividing the task with fellow adventurers, there were about 20 people doing this task

Just after their afternoon was over, they used the public bath to clean up the body then discussed at the guild bar while ordering simple food such as beef-eye fried rice and baso with spicy sauces, and then had a simple meal, for the drink they ordered orange juice and young coconut ice with slices of mango.

Nisa offers a beer but Ardhi she doesn't really like alcohol. As Nisa took a sip of the beer she looked expressionless as if the burden on her body had disappeared.

"Fwashhh... We're getting enough money now, use those six silver coins to buy you tools and the six silver coins I have we use for food and lodging."

"Not that it'll reduce your ration."

"I don't care, more than that we won't continue to do the work in the city, at least we're looking for something like beating a slime or a goblin, that kind of job is easier even if it's making a little money."

Nisa was telling the truth, if she constantly only worked like cleaning the canal all her days would be spent working but if she worked like an adventurer, it would be much better.

"I understand."

"Then tomorrow morning we go to the flea market."

"Good."

Flea markets are a great option for those who are kere. Because Ardhi was too tired with his work today he was finally able to sleep even though now Nisa hugged him tightly.

"Nyan, nyan, this is a big fish.it's mine."

If Ardhi knew that now he was being licked he would definitely be shocked.

The next day the two walked away to the flea market in the suburbs, this place is so crowded and if noticed not only adventurers but mothers, the, parents and children walk around here.

"It turns out it's a lot more crowded than I thought."

"True, although called flea market they also sell a variety of fresh vegetables, fruits including used clothes, if lucky we can spend a little money with the best quality."
