Chapter 18: What Happened

"Come in, if anything happens I think I'll hold you responsible."

Ardhi obviously would not do anything strange, if anything happened his career as an adventure would end here without him knowing who had sent him to this world, that was what he wanted to keep.

Gloria walked in front of her back and stood by the window, while Ardhi kept her composure, she had taken off her clothes showing half her naked body.

Yep, it was completely white and smooth, thought Ardhi but this queen did not come to invite him to do that, only that she deliberately showed a terrible scar that was on her back.

It looked painful where it resembled a fairly deep clawed scar.

"That?"

"I can't show this to everyone I hope you can understand."

"I can understand that, all I can't understand is please return your clothes first when you turn around."

"Aw, you saw everything."

Ardhi let out a long sigh, he quickly ignored the thing he had just seen and continued.

"So can you tell me everything?"

"That's why I brought you here."

Gloria sat on the bed, she patted the spot next to her hinting that Ardhi to sit there.

"It's not actually the first time the sea monster has attacked us, it has happened 100 years ago, unlike now we previously lived on an island called Island, Island, there we lived like humans until sea monsters came and attacked us. There were a handful of people who could escape including me in it, we decided to stay in the water as you can see now."

That's the short story of what happened here.

"In other words you are over 100 years old."

"You shouldn't say a girl's age."

Ardhi apologized immediately and Gloria continued.

He slightly glanced at his cleavage before turning his gaze awkwardly.

"We need the crystal ball so I'll help."

"I thank you, if you don't mind please just call me Gloria. That's so we know a little."

"More familiar."

"Right, even though I'm the queen I don't really like to say formal."

Ardhi thought she was similar to Latifa, after the talk Gloria welcomed everyone in the dinner.

"Please, eat the whole thing."

"We won't hold back" Jenifer replied, taking the giant shrimp in both hands.

There were no servants or guards just them, even now Latifa was staring intently at Gloria and vice versa

There was a flash of lightning emanating between the two and they muttered the same thing.

"The love of the enemy."

Jenifer laughed and whispered to Ardhi.

"You're sure nothing happened between you and this queen."

"It's obvious, how could I do a no-no."

Their dinner was more awkward with these two people who were blatantly teasing Ardhi by feeding food into his mouth.

"What's really going on here?" ardhi's question was never answered even as morning arrived and by this time all the adult men had gathered to attack the Island, since their appearance no one dared to come out of this protector, he said, that's why if they manage to eradicate it then they will be able to live as they were.
