Chapter 20: The Sea Monsters

This world has a strong concept of being able to conquer the weak where killing each other is not something strange, even the sale of slaves is something that is common in certain cities.

Ardhi knew that, hence he had to fight without hesitation or he himself died. This was the absolute rule he had to apply from now on.

The sea monsters that resembled broomfish carried swords and spears to attack them all, the front of Todo slapped his sword until blood spurted into the air, his opponent's body slightly convulsed but after that did not move anymore then he targeted the others.

Twenty against 50 was a comparison that happened in this place, Ardhi took the two swords in his hand while the rest he used to protect the other comrades.

Want how else he did not want anyone to die in this battle, it was a selfish thought but at least Ardhi wanted to do it.

As a result of his concentration being split in all directions, a sea monster came sneaking up on him, he pointed the tip of the sword at him.

"Celaka," is the right word to describe it but the tip never reached Ardhi because Mery had been in front of him to hold through his shield, just as the monster was losing momentum, the knife in his hand pierced through the spine of his head until it collapsed.

"Don't worry I'll protect you."

Owh, she had a sweet voice, Ardhi thought for a moment and said, "Thank you" which answered a light word.

"It's nothing."

With the existence of Mery, Ardhi can be far too free to protect everyone while fighting. Some of the men from his camp received attacks but did not endanger their lives until they continued fighting.

Two sea monsters were thrust with Mery's shield and at the same time one sword pierced through the two from the side.

"You're okay Mery."

"Nothing."

Even though he said it was okay, to be honest he was already too exhausted. His breath seemed to be wheezing with sweat drenching his face.

The shield was obviously too heavy for someone to carry especially if required to fight.

Ardhi could not say he could rest because this was a battle, forcing himself was the one thing he could say but it was clear Ardhi would not say such a terrible thing, so instead he chose to protect him.

Mery's cheeks look flushed maybe Ardhi saw it wrong and just focus on subverting the increasing number of sea monsters until finally the monsters can be defeated and leave only one leader who walks before them with the sword in his hand.

Mery stood up and said that he was fine now and was ready to fight again.

Todo readied the sword in anticipation of the boss's attack crashing at him, he held back well unfortunately his body was thrown down strongly.

As the boss was eyeing another existence Ardhi jumped forward to hold it in by crossing two swords in front.

"This opponent is very dangerous, you all quickly retreat."

"B-b-b-good."

They follow directions as quickly as possible.

The four swords in the air pierced the sea monster boss until his back was pierced from all directions yet the sword was just stuck there, or to be honest the flesh from him had ensnared him in order not to be pulled back.

"Huh?" Ardhi was flustered before Mery appeared to hit his shield from the side making the boss throw away.

There Todo is ready to slash with a movement from top to bottom.

And Boom.

The ground rose a few meters into the air but it was not too able to cause any effect on the sea monster boss as it managed to withstand it.

Instead he was kicked away and Ardhi held him behind.

"He's really strong."

"That's true, indeed" said Ardhi flatly.

Now only three people will face him.
