Chapter 14: Against the Kraken

Ever since coming to this world Ardhi had difficulty in not being able to use his unique powers like the adventurers did, when he felt a sense of despair he had unknowingly awakened something in him.

The sword he was always carrying suddenly just moved inside the room, he was too tired to pick it up and then it flew towards him alone.

He thought it was possible that the one who called him into this world didn't really throw him away. Since he knew, his fighting style changed drastically and it was unexpected that it was also that ability that saved him from heights.

Latifa did not stop admiring him even though she was cooking for them. As Jenifer said, his ship was already filled with food from vegetables or meat but compared to the two ingredients he stored more wine in it.

"The smell is very fragrant."

"It's just tuna salad and meat tongseng that I can serve right now."

"This too has been amazing" Jenifer and Latifa replied.

"That's because the material isn't very complete."

"You know how else I just brought my own easy-to-cook material."

They ate until they were full before they sailed back at medium speed, the sun was already on top of their heads and everything was hot.

Ardhi gazed at the seascape that looked relaxed more than before, in just a matter of seconds the calmness was immediately shattered easily.

Eight giant tentacles have come out from every direction that ensnared Jenifer's ship.

"He's come."

Jenifer took off the steering wheel then pulled the sword at his waist, Ardhi also pulled the two swords into his hands while the two more floated nearby.

"Because it's been so far I don't want to die eaten by the Kraken," said Jenifer lunged forward, he swung his sword to give a wound to one of the tentacles, on the other side Ardhi also did the same. It took effort to cut him off but he was able to do it.

The Kraken began to target Latifa's existence thankfully that the two Ardhi swords next to her were helping the defense.

Jenifer managed to slash one of the tentacles until the head of the kraken began to gush from within the sea, its size was clearly very large with protruding teeth like a pencil absorber.

Ardhi cut off some of the tentacles before following Jenifer who jumped into the air giving a slash of cut, it scratched the Kraken's face but not so effectively including Ardhi's attack, as a resistance, the two are now hit by the tentacles until they are flown a little away.

Both of them continuously brushed off all the tentacles that were simultaneously attacking and were again thrown back stronger than before.

Latifa held Ardhi's hand which was about to fall out of the ship.

"Ugh."

"Hold down Ardhi."

Ardhi held the side of the ship, as a tentacle was about to attack him the two swords that had been protecting Latifa cut him off easily, following the direction of Ardhi's view, following the direction of Ardhi's view, the six swords soared into the air then pierced the octopus from all directions, it pierced through his body many times before finally his entire hand drooped limp and finally his entire body fell onto the cold and dark sea floor.

"I'm fine, Latifa, you better heal Jenifer."

"It seems we're late to save him."

"Oi, I'm alive."

"Sad."

"What do you mean by saying that, I'm hurt bad."

"I'll cure him."

Some parts of the ship were damaged even so this ship can still sail without difficulty. Ardhi sat down limp and chose to travel back the next morning.
