MT 47: Return of Alice

Alexa and Jackson's relationship is like walking in place. The two are in love but are both proud to ask for a relationship.

Both are now engaged in their work. Jackson has been abroad for a month. Alexa further strengthens her position as a businesswoman. He has acquired several companies that almost collapse.

Although he had not met for a long time because of distance and time, Jackson still gave news to Alexa just through a short message. Like that day, Jackson once sent Alexa a picture of himself with several women posing in a cafe.

Alexa who was enjoying her lunch could only smile and reply to Jackson's message.

This morning, Alexa was preoccupied with several reports that she had to sign. A knock on the door of his room sounded.

"Lake in." He said without looking at the door.

"Sorry Miss, there's a woman who insisted on meeting Miss even though she didn't have a schedule to meet Miss before."

Alexa then looked at Laura, her secretary with a shrunken forehead.

"Who?" Ask Alexa.

"He said his name was Maya from PT. Ocean Jaya."

Alexa is suddenly excited when she learns that Maya, Jackson's secretary, has come to see her.

"Send him in." Decide Alexa.

Laura nodded and then came back out. Alexa itself continues its activities by reading documents as well as signing them. He looked so serious he didn't realize the door was open and Maya was standing there.

"Kheeemmmm...." Maya cleared her throat, making Alexa look straight at her.

"Aduuhhh who is already the boss, is very busy." Goda Maya's.

Alexa smiled and got up from her chair and approached Maya and invited Maya to sit on the sofa that was available.

"Say, what brings you here?" Ask Alexa.

Alexa and Maya have been very familiar since Alexa worked as a Jackson assistant in the past. Both are like friends.

"I came specifically to deliver the invitation to you." Maya.

"Waah really. Congratulations, I'm happy." Reply Alexa.

"Hey, that's not the invitation I meant." Maya shook her hands in the air while laughing.

"Then what?" Ask Alexa who thinks that Maya came to deliver her wedding invitation.

Maya laughs again and puts her hand in her bag and pulls out a black invitation on Alexa.

"It's an invitation from Jackson." Maya puts the invitation on Alexa.

Alexa's heart was pounding, she looked surprised. Very surprised by Jackson's invitation given Maya.

'Is he really getting married? But, with whom?' think Alexa.

Maya who noticed the change in Alexa's facial expression immediately patted Alexa's shoulder.

"Hey, what's wrong with you?" Ask Maya and giggle. "Look, this isn't Jackson's wedding invitation." Maya continues to make Alexa confused. "Even if it's a wedding invitation, the bride is definitely you."

Alexa is confused, and she snatches the invitation from Maya's hand and begins to read it. Alexa breathed a sigh of relief, a smile re-expanding on her lips.

"Do you think Jackson's getting married?" Ejek Maya with a laugh. "He just loves you, take it easy. It's just that he's a tough guy to express his love in words, but he's good at showing it." Maya.

Alexa just smiled. He was relieved that the invitation delivered Maya was not a wedding invitation sent Jackson, but a birthday invitation that will be held two more nights.

"His he's back?" Ask Alexa.

"Not yet, but it looks like he'll be back no later than tomorrow night." Answer Maya. "Why? Can't you wait to meet him?" Maya is back to teasing Alexa.

"You're this." Alexa patted Maya's shoulder slowly.

Tonight, according to the invitation. Alexa will attend Jackson's birthday party. The event also became a meeting place for entrepreneurs to meet considering Jackson is not an arbitrary person. He is a successful young entrepreneur, so there will be many business partners coming.

Alexa is choosing her best dress. He wants to perform with his best clothes at a special Jackson event. Yesterday he had bought Jackson a birthday gift in the form of a new luxury watch.

"I don't know what to buy him. Besides, he already has everything. It would be very difficult to buy him something that he could wear and at least remember me when he saw my gift."

And so fell Alexa's choice on that black watch.

'May she like.' Alexa said in her heart.

Meanwhile, at a hotel where Jackson's birthday party will be held which will be attended by famous businessmen. In fact Jackson had planned that he would propose to Alexa in front of the crowd.

"I can't wait anymore. If not now, someone else will say it first." Said Jackson who was standing looking at his reflection in a large mirror.

Jackson started walking into the party. Several guests were already there and started greeting Jackson. Both Jackson's parents were there.

The party has begun, but the figure Jackson awaited has not yet come. Jackson looks increasingly upset because there is no sign of Alexa.

In fact Alexa is late because the journey from her home to the location of the party is quite far. In a few minutes, Alexa will be here soon. He was driven by his driver.

Upon arriving at the party, Alexa gets out of the car gracefully. She wore a red dress that made her the center of attention of invited guests who were also newly present. Alexa stepped slowly and gracefully with her hand holding a small box with a red ribbon on it.

Alexa stepped inside the building with complete confidence. A smile was engraved on his lips, imagining what his encounter with Jackson would be like after such a long time. However, what happened was that he saw Jackson being embraced by a woman in front of many people including Jackson's parents.

Alexa chose to stop and stand behind the crowd of invited guests who were standing staring at the man who was having a birthday.

"Happy birthday." The woman's words gently kissed Jackson's cheeks.

Jackson did not react, from the look in his eyes he looked surprised. Alexa herself chose to turn around when she heard the name of the woman called by Mrs Baldev, Mama Jackson.

"Alice, where have you been? Why is it only visible now?" Ask Mrs Baldev.

'Isn't Alice the name of the woman Jackson once was?' think Alexa.

Alexa does know the name from Maya who tells him about Jackson's past.

For some reason, Alexa's chest became tight. He then chose to leave the building and did not meet Jackson. But at the entrance, he coincidentally met Morgan who had just arrived.

"Hey." Sapa Morgan's. "Where are you? Isn't the show just starting?" Ask Morgan.

Alexa looked at Morgan inside, Morgan's face looking handsome. Especially when smiling, the dimples on her cheeks look so clear. Alexa took a long breath.

'No, I can't go like this.' Alexa said in her heart. 'If she can be with another woman, I can also be with another man.'

"So I felt like I forgot something in the car. Turns out I just remembered that I've brought it." Alexa said showing the small gift box she carried.

Morgan laughed then fixed the clothes he was wearing.

"I don't think he's gonna invite you, considering you guys seem like mortal enemies." Alexa.

"I also did not expect that a Harry Jackson would invite me to his party. Looks like there'll be something interesting until he invites me." Reply Morgan.

'Something interesting has happened.' Alexa said in her heart.

"Then let's go inside." Alexa holds Morgan's hand.

Morgan looked surprised and saw Alexa's hand coiling on his arm.

"What's wrong?" Ask Alexa. "Do you not want to be my partner?"

"Of course I will." Morgan replied quickly.

Jackson has been trying to avoid Alice ever since. He did not expect that Alice, the woman he once loved so much, had suddenly appeared before him. There was a sense of happiness and disappointment in Jackson's heart. Why should Alice come back when she can forget about it and start giving her heart to Alexa.

Alice continued to cling to Jackson. Jackson himself hopes Alexa will come soon, so that the plan he has prepared to propose Alexa in front of everyone will be implemented soon. However, what happened he instead saw Alexa join with Morgan. The two approached Jackson who stood staring at them with Alice standing next to him who continued to hold Jackson.

"Happy birthday to Jack." Said Alexa thrust her hand at Jackson, but Jackson did not reply Alexa's hand.

Alexa smiled, then extended her hand to Alice.

"I'm Alexa. Looks like you're Jackson's girlfriend."

"You could say so." Reply Alice. "Our relationship has been in place for a long time."

"Ah, congratulations." Alexa handed over the birthday gift she brought to Jackson. "This is a gift from me, for you." Alexa said to Jackson who kept looking at him full of anger.

"Happy Birthday Harry Jackson." Morgan. "Gue see, you seem to be about to give up your single life soon. Congratulations yes. Sorry I don't know what to bring. You already have everything. I can only love you prayer, may you live a long life and soon be married."

Morgan then looked at Alexa who was smiling towards him.

"Do you want to dance?" Ask Morgan.

"certain." Reply Alexa.

Jackson's eyes turned red, his heart hurting as he watched Alexa and Morgan walk to the dance floor holding hands. His face heated up, Alice's hand that was coiled around his arm was thrown away. Jackson went to the drink table.

'Damn it, what the fuck? Why would he even heat me up by pairing with that guy?'

Alice followed Jackson from behind and held his back.

"Why are you Jackson?" Alice asked softly.

Jackson turned and looked at Alice, then pulled Alice's hand to dance. The two then began to dance right next to Morgan and Alexa who had already danced. Jackson looked so excited, he clenched Alice so tightly. As if to show Alexa to make Alexa jealous.

Alexa did not want to be provoked, although actually his heart did hurt to see Jackson with other women but he could not show his jealousy. Alexa was also seen leaning on Morgan's chest.

"You're so pretty tonight." Morgan.

"Thank you." Reply Alexa. "You're also handsome."

Seeing Alexa who is so friendly with Morgan, makes Jackson even more angry. He gave a code to music players so that the rhythm of music for dancing was replaced. The music also changed, which had melow to be more bit. Jackson showed his ability to dance by twisting Alice's body and looked like kissing Alice's neck.

The music was suddenly replaced again, this time everyone did a dance mixer. Where they had to change partners each music stopped for a few seconds. Just when she had to change partners, Alexa who was supposed to pair with a man wearing a navy suit instead paired with Jackson because Jackson encouraged the man.

"What are you doing with Morgan?" Ask Jackson, Alexa chose silence and did not answer. "Why silence? Are you guys dating?" Ask Jackson again.

"If so, what's your business?" Alexa asked back.

"Of course it has something to do with me because....." Not done Jackson talk they have to change partners.

But in fact Jackson did not want to change partners, he again pushed the man who approached to Alexa.

"Not to interfere in my business. You better take care of your relationship with your lover." Alexa.

"He's not my girlfriend."

"Who is he? Why did he say you've been in a relationship for so long?"

"I've been in contact with him, but that was before you came into my life."

"Oh yeah?"

"Didn't you trust me?"

"It looks so."

The music stopped again, and for the third time Jackson encouraged the man who wanted to be an Alexa partner.

"People are staring at us. We should have changed partners." Alexa.

"I don't care." Reply Jackson. "Listen to me carefully, my relationship with Alice has ended a long time ago. I'm..."

"If it's over, why is he free to hug and kiss you in front of the crowd?"

"I don't know why he did that. Alexa I...."

The music stopped, behind Jackson was standing Alice who patted his back. While behind Alexa there is already Morgan staring at both. Alexa then quickly released Jackson's handrails.

"It seems I should go home right now. Happy birthday to Jack." Alexa then turned around. "Can you take me home?" Ask Alexa to Morgan.

"Of course." Morgan replies and goes hand in hand with Alexa.

Jackson tries to catch Alexa, but she is taken into custody by Alice.

"Where are you going?" Ask Alice.

Jackson took a long breath.

"Alice listen to me. I don't know why you came back to me after all these years you disappeared. And now....."

"I love you Jackson." Alice hugged Jackson.

Roughly Jackson let go of Alice's embrace and looked at her sharply. Both became a spectacle for the invited guests.

"I don't love you anymore. You're just my past. And you've seen the woman I loved."

"You mean Alexa?"

"Yes, Alexa." Answer Jackson. "I just love Alexa, not you. So I hope you can forget me. Just like I've forgotten you." Said Jackson then passed by leaving Alice standing staring at Jackson's departure.

'Alexa.... Look out for you, I'm not gonna let you take Jackson away from me.'

In front of the party building, Jackson has not found Alexa and Morgan. As he tried to chase them, Mrs Baldev kept Jackson from leaving.

"Honey, where are you going?" Ask Mrs Baldev. "Let's go in first, you have a party why you're outside."

Mrs Baldev pulled Jackson's hand back into the building. Jackson took a long breath.

'Wait for me Alexa.'
