MT 36: In the Village

Alexa arrived at the main house....

It turned out that Mang Adi and Bi Lastri had been waiting for him since. As soon as he saw Alexa, Bi Lastri without awkward immediately hugged her.

Alexa just smiled and clasped the middle-aged woman's hand.

Alexa wakes up and sits down.

Phone connection cut off, Alexa started grumbling. He quickly went to the bathroom and started taking a warm bath. Alexa prepares quickly, ranging from bathing, wearing clothes, and make up.

30 Minutes later, Alexa left the house. He tried to call Jackson, but there was no answer.

Alexa let out a long sigh, then said goodbye to Mang Adi and Bi Lastri. Alexa asks the two to keep the house for as long as she leaves, while for an office affair while Alexa hands it over to Laura as her confidant.

Jackson was so angry he wanted to get out of his car. But when he saw the figure of Alexa who came out of the car that intercepted him, Jackson suddenly silent.

Alexa rushes to Jackson's car and knocks on Jackson's windshield. Jackson opened the window of his car.

"Hi Master...." Say hello Alexa. "Please open the trunk or the back door. I'm going to get in my stuff." Say Alexa while lifting the backpack she carries.

Without speaking, Jackson pressed the button and Alexa turned to the back door to put her bag in. Alexa has asked her driver to return. As Alexa was about to get into the car, Jackson shouted.

"Viiiii...."

Alexa was shocked, and made her head hit the ceiling of the car.

"Who told you to sit in the back? What do you think I'm a driver." Shouted Jackson.

Alexa grunts annoyed.

"Living said sitting in front of me, it's hard. Huh basic." Say Alexa slowly.

When Alexa was sitting next to Jackson, the car began to speed.

It took 2 hours to get to the countryside. The journey is not finished, they still have to drive in 2 hours. This time they stopped for breakfast at a restaurant on the side of the road.

"Seriously don't I have breakfast here?" Ask Jackson.

Alexa nodded with a smile and then entered the country restaurant.

"Lesehan Kantara." Jackson said as he followed Alexa's steps into the restaurant.

When he went inside, Jackson did not expect that it turned out that the room was so spacious. The table is arranged so neatly, and is spaced with a bamboo curtain partition on each table.

Alexa is seen sitting on table number 2 and a waiter is seen taking note of her order.

Jackson walked up to Alexa and sat facing each other.

"I ordered the food. Just wait a minute." Alexa.

"Lo looks really happy to be in a rural area like this." Jackson.

Alexa smiled then looked towards the window that showed a vast expanse of rice fields.

"Many people can be proud to live in a metropolitan city. It may be that many people feel the luckiest because they live in a city that is versatile and developed. But for me there is no place as beautiful as this place, where when the feet step on the ground it instantly fades with all the fatigue of the soul. That's the village." Reply Alexa smile. "The typical atmosphere and beautiful scenery of a village like this almost never fails to treat the souls that are made tired by city life." Alexa.

"So you don't like living in the city?" Ask Jackson again.

"It's not. Living in a big city is also fun. Like a big city, there are many life support facilities that can be enjoyed. Especially with the charm of culture, tourism and the aura of the city that is said to be comfortable. And indeed many people claim to be at home and want to go back to greet him. But as usual, big cities are close to a lot of annoying things. The gigantism of large cities that are rapidly accelerating makes the ecosystem more easily cause fatigue. Like a newborn giant, his heartbeat is so strong, the rhythm of his city life is often easy to tire. Finally escaping to restore the freshness of the soul and mind becomes a necessity. I too, living in the village became an option to wash away the tiredness caused by the jolt of city life." Alexa is long.

Alexa's order food is coming. There are many menus available. Starting from brown rice, grilled chicken, spicy sour gurame, and also sambal matah. This time Alexa does not order so much food because considering it is still too early for heavy meals.

"Morning's been eating rice and all this?" Jackson asked, pointing at all the available menus.

"Oh my goodness, sir. Never mind, let alone our journey is still far away and requires a lot of energy." Kill Alexa. "Let's eat it. Fat business will be thought of." Continue Alexa then began to taste the existing menu.

Breakfast was over, and Jackson's car began to leave the black paved highway to enter the rocky and muddy village.

It takes 1 hour to get to the destination. Alexa's smile immediately burst when leaving the asphalt of the highway to immediately enter the road between the expanse of rice fields. The speed of the vehicle swallowed because the road is uneven, it makes Alexa semaki happy because it can throw a view to the side. The expanse of rice fields and the vastness of the sky was so real before the eyes.

There is already a lot of construction on the roadside. Large vehicles carrying construction materials were seen passing through Jackson's car.

"We'll be at Grandpa's soon." Alexa.

"Oh so your grandfather lives here?"

"Mmmmm didn't I say that to Mister?"

"Eitherway. I forgot to." Reply Jackson relax.

Once at Grandpa Parman's house, Alexa and Jackson were welcomed so well. Grandpa Parman's house is already better and decent after Alexa orders people to renovate it.

"Aduuhh, is this your future husband?" Ask Nek Aminah on Alexa.

Alexa shakes fast.

"Not Grandma, he's the boss I work for." Answer Alexa.

They all greeted each other then sat down for a moment with him in the living room while chatting. After that Jackson invites Alexa to go to review the place of the project, both of them then say goodbye.

Highlights of the morning sun illuminate the streets around Grandpa Parman's house which in fact has now begun to turn into a rural. Some houses began to stand firm. Just a few months after Alexa left, the place began to change drastically.

'Perhaps because of the construction of resorts close to tourist destinations.' thought Alexa.

Alexa and Jackson no longer use the car to the project site. Alexa suggests to walk, because it is not too far away.

The cool of the morning is getting touching thanks to the fog that is still hanging leaving the grains of dew at the end of the leaves. Both often find butterflies behind the leaves.

Both continue their journey. Flowers that bloom beautify the streets on the edge of the rice fields.

Alexa likes to stay on the edge of the rice field. Just like he did before. While sitting folding legs, breath so fresh. Various activities of villagers were seen starting to be held.

"What are we doing here?" Ask Jackson. "Is it far away?"

"Udah deket. But, we sit here first enjoy the rural atmosphere. Look there!" Alexa pointed towards the citizens. "It's great to see parents start their day by cycling across a trail in the middle of a rice field. The parents were usually farmers or merchants. With old bikes they often go hand in hand. Jackson also sat next to Alexa who looks busy taking pictures. Jackson looked at the citizens. Their faces look warm as if they do not know the weight of life that others often complain about. Seeing them pedaling bikes with caping on their heads can turn out to be really fun for a guy like Jackson. Spin the wheel of his bike like language that life must continue to run as heavy as any foot through it.

"In the villages, parents are used to starting their day by pedaling bicycles through rice fields that are still covered in morning fog. What a sweet sight, isn't it?" Alexa.

"Hhhhmm." Reply Jackson. "A view you won't get in a big city."

Satisfied sitting on the edge of the rice field, Alexa invites Jackson to climb the rice fields to get closer to the farmers. Seeing a stranger approaching with a camera, the villagers smiled.

“Wah we want to be photographed!” Say them.

Seeing the farmers bowing while walking backwards Alexa could only stand still while giving a thumbs up in the heart.

Early in the morning they had set out through the cold of the dew and plunged themselves into the muddy ground. Throughout half a day they will usually hang in there doing the same job.

"Across what they do is very easy, just plugging the seeds into the mud, hoeing or cleaning the weeds. But in fact only those who have been successful and able to do it." Alexa.

Jackson instead of focusing on the farmers who photographed Alexa, he focused on seeing Alexa's face that looks beautiful with hair in high pigtails. He wore a pink t-shirt with knee-length pants and walked little by little photographing the farmers.

Jackson as if hypnotized by the charm of Alexa, he continues to walk in the footsteps of Alexa.

Two farmers walked back and forth planting rice while talking about everything about their lives. The farmers usually never work without talking to each other. In the middle of the rice fields while planting rice and others hoeing, they chatted and often even blew laughter at each other. Alexa who witnessed it also smiled listening to the excitement.

"They don't need the luxury of laughing, but maybe that's the key to happiness." Alexa.

'This woman is truly unique.' Jackson thought.

After a while of walking, the two arrived at the location of the resort development project. Its location is close to the waterfall makes the atmosphere very cool. Alexa kept taking pictures, while Jackson was seen busy talking to the workers.

The day went by and the wind started to shake the coconut tree. Breezy wind and beautiful scenery of the village is a powerful combination to drive away fatigue. Alexa and Jackson are back walking home to Grandpa Parman's.

The two saw wild goats being released to feed on the field. For Jackson it was an interesting and impressive thing.

Not feeling the day is approaching noon and the two are getting late to enjoy one by one the beauty of the village. Walk away from the construction project site towards the field before returning to Grandpa Parman's house. The overgrown field was used to herd goats or buffalo before they were herded for wallowing.

Grandpa Parman's house is right at the end of that trail. Grandpa Parman's current home is a newly erected building after being renovated by Alexa. On the same ground the house was rebuilt to a size that was not too large. Because like the habits of Grandpa Parman and Nek Aminah, usually the rest is used as a yard to grow vegetables and fruit.

Arriving at Grandpa Parman's house, Alexa did not immediately rest. He immediately pulled Jackson's hand to be invited to the side garden of the house to pick fruit.

There are rambutan trees that bear fruit. Using bamboo slats, Alexa throws one by one rambutan from the stalk. Jackson was amazed by Alexa's ability.

"Master, what's so bengong?" Alexa Shouts.

Jackson looked at Alexa with questions.

"Let's get the rambutan." Shouted Alexa again with her hands still busy holding the bamboo blade.

'How dare this woman rule over me.' Jackson said in his heart.

Jackson followed Alexa's orders. He began picking one by one the hairy fruit to put in the basket. Once enough was felt, Alexa stopped picking it and helped Jackson pick the fruit.

While sitting on the home page, Alexa enjoys the sweetness of rambutan. The flesh of the fruit is very thick, a little water and is easily removed from the seeds. The taste is not too sweet so that Alexa does not get bored quickly if you eat it in large quantities.

"Why not eat?" Alexa asked looking at Jackson who was just holding a rambutan fruit.

"Gue never ate this."

"Seriously?" Ask Alexa not to believe it.

"Hmmm...." Jackson nodded.

Alexa then helps Jackson peel the skin rambutan and give it to Jackson.

"Let's try!" Alexa.

Slowly Jackson began trying to taste the hairy fruit that actually made him ticklish it. However, after feeling it Jackson became a little addicted and went back to trying it again.

Jackson's phone suddenly rang, and he went somewhere else. Alexa looked at Jackson's back as it moved away.

"Call from who the hell, until it has to go all in." Alexa is upset.

Suddenly Alexa felt sleepy, he then lay down in the chair in front of Grandpa Parman's house which is now directly facing the rice fields. Although during the day the weather is very hot, but the breeze is so delicious. Alexa falls asleep.

Jackson returns to Grandpa Parman's porch and finds Alexa hard falling asleep. Jackson smiled, looking at Alexa's face while asleep. Especially in the hands of Alexa there are still rambutan fruit.

Jackson crouched down in front of Alexa and slowly opened Alexa's hand to take the rambutan. But Alexa pulled Jackson's hand and bit him.

"Mmmm so sweet." Alexa.

Jackson was laughing. He then tried to pull his hand, but Alexa even gripped it tightly.

'This woman....' Jackson became angry.

He looked at Alexa's face at such a close distance. His left hand tidied up Alexa's hair that covered his face.

"Alexaaa......" Call Nek Aminah suddenly at the door of the house to make Jackson surprised and pull his hand.

"Mmmmm....." Say Alexa who comes to mind.

"Why sleep outside. Come on in, let's eat. Grandma's cooking for lunch." Nek Aminah's.

Alexa wakes up and rubs her face. He looked at Jackson who looked wrong.

Alexa then entered the house followed by Jackson, enjoying lunch provided by Nek Aminah.

After lunch, Alexa decided to take a nap. While Jackson chose to sit in front of the house with Grandpa Parman just chatting about the construction of the village. Parman's grandfather never talked about Alexa, because he had promised Alexa that he would never talk about Alexa's past to anyone.

Afternoon.....

The view of the village in the afternoon is no less sweet. The silhouettes of rural nature formed from the dimness of dusk are second to none. Seeing a farmer who is still working ploughing fields when the sun is almost sunset is heartwarming.

A sweet sight at dusk depicts the newly built Sutet Tower in the middle of the rice fields of the village.

When the afternoon is officially over, the farmer is still drifting in the middle of the rice field with his hijacking machine.

Being in the countryside is always fun. This place always managed to restore the smile that was snatched by the chaos of the city. The panorama and taste of life presented is an expensive beauty. The village is a place where everyone can get more than just the glitter of the city. There one can find his lost smile again. In the village weary souls find their joy again.

Just like Alexa felt, especially Jackson who first came to a village.

Alexa came out of the house, found Jackson still faithfully sitting in front of the house. The look of Alexa who had taken a bath, became more fresh and beautiful to make Jackson fascinated but still able to withstand the turmoil in his chest.

'It looks like I've indeed fallen in love.'
