Behind the Veil (Aisha)

Behind the Veil (Aisha)
Contrition

Zayn's smile continued to bloom, as big as his heart was blossoming. How not, Lela his wife has increasingly shown her readiness to become a wife completely.

Behind him now the wife is hugging him tightly as if there is no more bulkhead and distance. Keep him warm, which is definitely slowly igniting his passion which is now thrashing and enticing.

Although still feeling comfortable, Lela had to stop him, she let go of his embrace. Make Zayn immediately turn his body to see the wife.

Lela gave a smile, answered with a loving look by her husband.

"Have you?"

Lela shook her head. "Not yet."

Zayn immediately opened his arms wide, patting his chest softly asking his wife to hug him back.

Lela immediately held her laughter.

"I haven't changed the bandage."

Zayn directly felt the back of his injured head not yet covered in bandages.

"Reverse again" said Lela, preparing a new bandage for her husband.

Zayn was forced to turn his back on his wife.

Lela carefully put a new bandage on her husband's wound that seemed to have begun to dry up.

He felt he was done Zayn hurriedly turned his body again, looking back at the wife who was now cleaning the medicine box.

Zayn was going to say something, but was held back by the sound of their house bell.

Lela immediately rushed to put on her veil and went out of the room to open the door.

Zayn immediately followed behind him to see who was coming.

"I'm sorry if yesterday's sister's remark offended you." Amira approached Lela who was busy making drinks in the kitchen.

"No brother. Not at all." Lela shook her head a few times while smiling.

Amira looked at her sister-in-law's face, feeling very guilty.

"Sister already knows the real story. Yesterday Zaidan told me about it after brother urged. I'm sorry but I'm really curious what's really going on" Amira said carefully.

"You're an amazing woman. Brother is proud of you." Amira stroked Lela's back.

"It's not wrong Zayn chose you to be his wife."

"No brother. I'm just an ordinary woman. I am grateful that Allah SWT has sent a man as well as a brother to be my husband. Brother doesn't know what he's willing to do for me." Lela saw her husband playing with his two nieces.

Amira smiles.

"How are you doing now? Has your ex-husband been arrested by the police?"

"I'm fine, brother. My ex-husband, he..." Lela hesitated to continue her words.

"My husband and I agreed to drop the police report."

"What's? Why?" Amira surprise.

Lela was confused to explain.

"Because prison isn't the only punishment." Zayn approached the two while holding his infant nephew.

"Living with remorse and guilt is far more painful than being locked up for life." Zayn smiled at his brother.

Amira was stunned, a moment later she smiled.

"All right then. Brother supports whatever your decision is." Amira holds her sister's shoulder.

"By the way, that problem. I have to go to the police station now to retract the report." Zayn saw his wife.

"Now?" ask Lela in shock.

"Yes. The faster the better. I want to get this thing fixed soon."

Lela showed her worried face.

"But-"

"I'm doing fine. Brother Zaidan will accompany me there."

"alright. Careful. Go home when you're done." Lela resigned.

Lela's recovery is not only happy news for her husband Zayn, but is very exciting news for the entire extended family, especially the mother.

Ummi unceasingly thanked Allah SWT for giving healing to his beloved daughter. Despite having to go through an incident that made his son-in-law injured, but Ummi was again grateful because Zayn did not suffer severe injuries, and Lela's recovery was certainly the wisdom of the incident.

"Thank you, son. It has given Ummi such encouraging news," Ummi said on the other end of the phone.

"Yes Ummi. We definitely want to share this happiness with Ummi too" Aisha replied.

After a long conversation, Aisha and Siti end their conversation with their mother. Previously Siti told Ummi that she and her husband would be home in a few days because of Andre's unfinished work.

It seemed like Siti and her husband were forced to extend their visit to the city because Andre still had to take care of things.

"What consultation?"

"So I want to get pregnant soon." Siti looks sad.

"Although never said it directly, but you know that your husband is expecting the presence of a child" continued Siti again.

"Yes brother. I-i understand. We'll be there tomorrow, and I'll have my pregnancy checked out."

Nightfall.

Zayn walked lethargic while holding his back head, for some reason when he was about to go home from the police station was suddenly his head felt very dizzy and sick. He thought that it might be because he was late on the medication.

Dealing with the police could also be the trigger, it was not as easy as he thought, there were many files and letters that he had to sign earlier, he said, but before that he and his brother were also made to wait a little long enough because they had to queue, it could be if all that also made his head suddenly become sick.

Arriving at the apartment she saw a quiet situation, but Zayn knew that his brother would stay overnight today because his husband was on an official trip out of town.

But the pain in his head that increasingly made him ignore the existence of the brother, he hurriedly entered his room to immediately rest.

Zayn opened the door, shocked to see that the dark room lights had been turned off.

He then thought that his wife was asleep, but he did not see Lela on the bed.

His steps then stopped to see Lela who was on the balcony outside, pensively without wearing a hijab to make her long hair waving exposed to the breeze.

For a moment Zayn forgot about the pain in his head, which was on the balcony now attracted his attention.

"I told you not to come here alone" said Zayn, startling Lela, who was contemplating. He stood beside his wife.

Lela saw her husband.

"You're home yet? Why so long?"

"Why? Are you waiting for me?" Zayn smiled.

Lela nodded immediately.

"of course. You should take your medicine immediately."

Zayn's face changed.

"Only because of drugs? I thought you missed me."

Lela smelled a smile.

Both of them were silent for a moment. Enjoy the beauty of the night from up there.

"At the police station, I met Ammar. When he found out that we were retracting his report, he forced himself to come there to see me."

"He sent you a message." Zayn glanced at his wife.

Lela did not react, she just took a deep breath.

"He's very sorry for everything he's done to you." Zayn looked at his wife from the side.

Lela was silent for a moment.

"That's why people who die receive more flowers than people who are still alive, because regret is greater than gratitude." Lela glanced at her husband with a smile.

Zayn smiled, the two looked at each other.

"Oh." Zayn suddenly grimaced holding his head.

Lela's shocked. She went closer to her husband and took Zayn's head.

"Why?" tanyanya panic.

Unexpectedly, Zayn hugged his wife.

The shocked Lela could only open her eyes many times in the arms of the husband.

"I hope you're not pretending to be sick" said Lela a little upset.

"No. I swear my head hurt." Zayn tightened his embrace while smiling happily.

Lela immediately wrapped her hands around her husband's waist.

"Then you should take your medicine immediately."

"no need. My medicine is you."
