Behind the Veil (Aisha)

Zayn was stunned in disbelief when his wife suddenly hugged him tightly. The pain of the thug beating as if defeated by his happiness now saw the wife in his arms.

"So move. I'm not afraid to see it. I'm even more afraid if you get hurt" Lela said inside her chest sobbing.

Zayn smiled.

Seeing that, Ammar became emotional, she felt very angry to see Lela hugging her husband in front of her.

Ammar swiftly picked up a wooden block from one of the thugs, quickly approached Zayn and hit him on the head violently.

Zayn immediately collapsed instantly, Lela who was shocked immediately saw Ammar who was now standing in front of him with anger.

Ammar smiled sinisterly as he continued to stare at Lela sharply.

Lela tried to stop her crying while crouching to see her husband who had fainted. With a cry she held, she kept her husband's head on her lap.

Lela stared blankly at her husband's face. No longer crying, he glanced at Ammar who was still standing before him.

"You think I'd be scared if I met you?" asked Lela smiling cynically.

"How could I be afraid that in a year you'd always be in my mind and memory?"

"It used to drive me crazy, but now I'm used to it. I can compromise with my heart and mind. If you can't hurt me anymore. You're actually just a cowardly human being who only dares to women."

"really? I can't hurt you anymore?" Ammar smiled as he opened his belt, something he always did first when going to torture Lela.

Lela smiled.

"I told you that I'm not afraid of you. I wonder at you who still dare to see me."

"Why should I be afraid of you, huh?" Ammar twirled the belt in his hand.

"Not scared. You should be ashamed."

"Thy? Why should I be ashamed of you?" Ammar laughs.

Lela glanced at her ex-husband.

"The men should be ashamed to meet his virgin widow."

Ammar's face changed.

"Is your illness cured?" asked Lela again with a cynical smile.

Ammar widened his eyes in anger.

"The disease that makes you unable to carry out your duties as a husband to give an inner living to his wife."

Ammar looked more and more angry, he turned his body to see the thugs who were secretly smiling laughing at him.

"It was also the disease that made you beat me under the pretext of wanting to teach me, when you were ashamed if I knew your condition was abnormal."

"Shut up!" Ammar yelled at Lela.

"Why? Embarrassed? On them?" lela asked with a cynical smile while pointing at the thugs who were now increasingly openly laughing at Ammar.

Ammar threw the belt in his hand. He then approached the thugs and hit one of them with a wooden block that had been in his grip.

That person instantly collapsed like Zayn. Made five of his other friends inflamed. As fast as lightning they immediately beat and ganged at Ammar mercilessly.

Ammar who tried to fight even more make the thugs flounder. Unmercifully, Ammar continued to be beaten to a pulp and eventually fell helplessly down with a face and body full of wounds and blood.

The thugs then went to bring his fainted friend.

While Lela did not pay attention to the incident, she just returned to tears while trying to call someone to ask for help to take Zayn to the hospital.

Before long security came, he looked shocked to see the terrible condition of Ammar.

Soon Zaidan who called Lela also came with his wife he immediately approached Lela who hugged her husband who was still unconscious.

Anita pulls Lela into the car. Zaidan then immediately left after telling the security forces to call the police and Ambulance to take Ammar to the hospital.

The Hospital.

Siti and Aisha hugged Lela who was silent with her blank look. They try to resuscitate Lela who seems still shocked at the condition of her husband.

Alvian, along with several other doctors, was still checking on Zayn in the emergency room. Looking at his bloodied head, Alvian only hoped that his brother-in-law would not suffer any serious injuries.

Back again to Lela and the others waiting in the waiting room, they seemed worried waiting for news of Zayn's condition.

Before long the Ambulance came, they were stunned if it was Ammar who was taken by the police into the emergency room.

Not long after Alvian came to them all.

"How's the condition?" Zaidan approached Alvian.

"We had to do a CT scan first to see how severe the injury was on his head."

Lela who heard back cried. Aisha and Siti calmed her down.

"When will the result come out?"

"I'll work on it as soon as possible."

Everything's silent.

"It's night. You better just go home, let the men here wait." Alvian approached his wife.

Aisha immediately saw her sister.

"Sister wants to be here with sister's husband." Lela grew sobbing in her cries. Refusing to be sent home.

A few moments later.

"Alhamdulillah. The CT scan showed no serious injuries, although it did not say if these were minor injuries, but it can be said if a hard impact on his head does not result in nerve cells in his brain disturbed or there is swelling. Fortunately, there is only a wound in the skull bone, although a little cracked but we must remain grateful if the injury is not serious." The neurosurgeon saw it all.

Everyone immediately felt grateful. Especially Lela who immediately hugged Aisha happily.

"Patients can be moved to the treatment room."

"We can only wait until the patient is conscious" the doctor said again before leaving.

Everyone showed a relieved face.

"You go home, let me stay here with Lela." Anita sees Aisha and Siti.

"Yes, brother, go home. Take Aisha home, it's been a very night, not good for her pregnancy." Lela saw Siti.

Siti nodded. She and Aisha are forced to leave Lela, but are a little quiet because Anita is with her.

Andre drove the two home, while Alvian chose to remain at the Hospital until Zayn woke up, at least it would make him a little quiet if he had to leave. He'll make sure first if Zayn's okay.

While outside the room Zaidan and his wife Alvian were talking to several police officers who asked about the incident.

Inside the treatment room Lela was pensive while looking at her husband's face that was still unconscious. Her eyes glazed over as her husband tried to protect her from Ammar.

Lela was crying again. She did not expect that her husband would willingly sacrifice himself to protect her until he was beaten many times.

She then looked at her husband's bandaged head, then saw some other injuries, some on his hands and his face as a result of the fight.

Slowly, Lela held her husband's hand. She clasped her hands, crying and kissing Zayn's hands, Lela prayed to Allah SWT to ask her husband to be healed immediately.

"If I knew if I had to get hurt just to hug you, I would have done it a long time ago." Zayn who had apparently realized smiled at his wife.
