Lela was shocked, she immediately raised her head to look at her husband who was smiling at her.
"You're sober?" asked Lela in disbelief with great pleasure.
Zayn did not answer, he just kept staring at his wife's face.
"Attent. I'll call the doctor first" said Lela as she got up.
Zayn quickly restrained his wife. Holding hands.
"Are you okay? Did Ammar hurt you?"
Lela was silent. She was overwhelmed that her husband was still worried about her situation.
"I'm fine."
Zayn looked in disbelief, he stared fixedly at his wife.
"really? When I passed out, what did Ammar and the thugs do to you?"
Lela smiled, she sat back down.
"Trust. They didn't do anything to me."
Zayn. He still hesitated at his wife's answer.
Anita and Zaidan along with Alvian who entered were shocked to see Zayn who was conscious, they immediately approached him to ask his condition.
"Thank God. Your wounds aren't bad." Alvian patted Zayn on the shoulder after checking on his condition.
Zaidan looked at his sister, he smiled with relief at her fine state.
"Oh yes. The police want to ask for your testimony." Anita saw Lela.
"I asked her to come back tomorrow" Anita said.
Lela nodded.
"Because you're conscious and okay. Then we'll go home." Zaidan took his wife's hand.
Anita shocked. She saw her husband not believing.
"Come home?"
"Yes dear. I'm sleepy and want to go home." Zaidan signals Anita to look at Zayn and Lela's hands clinging to each other.
Anita smiled understandingly.
"alright. We go home first yeah, tomorrow morning we'll be here again." Anita said goodbye as she walked out of the room with her husband.
Alvian followed the couple.
Lela was astonished, seeing everyone smiling while leaving her alone with her husband.
Finally she realized something, seeing her hand that kept holding her husband's hand made her shocked. Lela hurriedly let go, but Zayn held her back.
"Say first. After I passed out. What's going on?"
"Why do you still ask that? Nothing, they just left me." Lela looked nervous as she let go of her husband's hand.
"really?" Zayn knew his wife was lying.
"Yes. Don't think about it. You better rest now." Lela justifies her husband's blanket.
"Do you want a drink?"
Zayn shook his head as he continued to stare at his wife's face.
"Why see me like that?" Lela was embarrassed, she looked down.
Zayn smiled, it was funny to see his timid wife like that.
"It's night. You better get some sleep, too. It's a tiring day for us."
Lela was immediately stunned.
"Yes. It was a very tiring day," he murmured softly as he recalled the incident half-thought.
Lela grateful. Allah SWT has given her strength that even she herself could never imagine facing her ex-husband as loud and bold as before. In addition, she also felt that there was another energy that gave her the courage to fight her ex-husband. The courage that suddenly appeared when she saw her husband willingly hurt to protect her, the strength and courage grew even greater when before her eyes, she saw the husband collapsed unconscious. It was this power that made him not fear Ammar in the least, and dare to fight him out loud.
"What are you thinking?" Zayn surprised Lela.
The shocked Lela shook her head. "No."
He stood up straight. "I'll go to the toilet for a minute."
Zayn watched his wife disappear behind the door.
In the midst of curiosity about what happened when he was unconscious earlier, Zayn felt grateful to see the condition of his wife who seemed to be fine, he said, there was no sign that Lela was traumatized after seeing her ex-husband. Unlike what he had been afraid of, Lela seemed ordinary, there was no fear that he saw from his eyes, there was only anxiety and worry that his wife was showing for him.
Could this be a sign that his wife is healed? Hopefully that way considering how Lela hugged him tightly.
Zayn smiled to himself. Finally, after a long time, he got his first hug from his wife. He hoped that this was a sign that Lela had indeed recovered and had accepted it completely.
Zayn kept smiling looking at Lela who was lying asleep under her bed.
"Sleep. Don't look at me like that" said Lela, closed in.
Zayn held back his laughter.
"How do you know I keep seeing you?"
"Because women can feel something long before they really know," Lela replied still, closed in.
"Oh yeah? Then do you know how I feel now?"
"Males are not good at hiding their feelings. Either he will reveal or choose to be silent. But in silence men will not be able to cover the gaze of his eyes that represent his feelings."
"Then what does this look on my eyes mean?"
Lela opened her eyes. Slowly look at her husband's face above her.
Their eyes meet each other.
"You're very happy."
"You're wrong" Zayn replied as he shook his head.
Lela scrunched her forehead.
"I'm not happy. But I'm in love so much." Zayn smiled looking at the wife's face.
Lela smiled a little.
"Then how are you feeling now?" ask Zayn.
Lela was silent for a moment.
"Women are very good at hiding their feelings. But women will not be able to hold back their tears. If a woman's tears come out because of someone. Believe me if it's an expression of love from her," Lela replied softly.
Zayn.
"And from then on my tears ran out because of you."
Zayn. But then he immediately smiled happily. Lela closed her eyes again.
___
Next morning.
Zayn, who was sitting in a wheelchair, was stunned to see Ammar's condition severely injured. He immediately saw Lela who had lowered her head earlier.
Ammar who continues to be silent makes it difficult for police to reveal what really happened. Coupled with Lela who also gave a half-and-a-half statement made the police finally decide to bring the three together.
"So who beat him up like that?" ask one of the police officers to Lela.
Everyone immediately saw Lela. Including that Ammar who saw his ex-wife resignedly.
Lela lowered her head. He glanced at the husband who seemed to be waiting for his answer as well.
"The thugs did it." Lela replied at last.
Everyone looks shocked.
"Those thugs?"
Lela nodded.
"But why do the thugs beat him when they are his man."
Ammar takes his eyes off Lela, preparing to face embarrassment when Lela will surely vent her hatred on him by revealing everything.
"Because he's made those thugs mad."
"What has he done?"
"He hit one of them with a log, just like he did to my husband."
"Why did he do that?" Everyone is getting clueless.
Lela gulped.
"He was angry because the thugs laughed at him. I don't think he accepted being laughed at by them because that's why he hit one of the thugs and made the other thugs angry and finally ganged at him."
"Why are the thugs laughing at him?"
Lela glanced at the ex-husband who looked anxious.
"The thugs laughed when I made fun of my ex-husband as a pussy for how dare to play a joke."
Ammar. He saw his ex-wife.
"That's what really happened." Lela looked down while squeezing both her hands.
