Behind the Veil (Aisha)

Behind the Veil (Aisha)
Project

Three days before Siti's wedding, the atmosphere of the boarding house and cottage looks to be a little crowded, some people seem busy preparing for the wedding that will be held soon.

While Andre the groom-to-be instead looks busy preparing his business plan, he who is assisted by some santri people seems to be bringing down some of the latest farming tools he just bought, he said, apparently one of the business ideas that will be pioneered with the santri is to develop agriculture to be more modern in order to maximize the pesantren land that is still large.

Siti who looked from inside her room just smiled happy to see the seriousness of the good intentions of the future husband, she increasingly believes if her decision to choose Andre as her husband is the right decision. Regardless of his past, he believes that if Andre has changed completely, with him they will learn together to build a sakinah family and towards his Ridho.

Siti who smiled to herself while contemplating did not realize that her sister Lela had been sitting next to her.

"Sister Andre is a good man. Brother did not choose him wrong to be the husband of the sister," said Lela as if she knew what the brother was thinking.

Siti looked surprised, she immediately smiled embarrassedly.

Lela then smiled, she held Siti's hand.

"I'm sure if Abah was still around, he would've given his choice."

Hearing the name of the late Abah called, the look on Siti's face immediately changed.

Lela realized her mistake, because she had accidentally changed her brother's mood to be sad.

"Sister. I'm sorry to remind you of the late Abah." Lela clasped Siti's hand tighter.

Siti tried to smile.

"It's okay" he replied slowly, looking at the sister's face.

Lela smiled, then said goodbye to Siti to go out of the room.

"Silver. Wait." Wait." Siti. Pull Lela's hand back to sit next to her.

"Someone wants you to ask."

"What brother?"

Siti looks doubtful.

"After you get married, Ummi and our older brother will start looking for you."

The look on Lela's face turned dark, she immediately lowered her head.

"Are you ready?"

Lela did not answer. He just kept his head down.

"They?" ask Siti again.

Slowly Lela raised her face, trying to smile.

"Anybody not ready must be ready, right?"

Siti looked at Lela's face.

"Ummi and Kak Ahmad will not force you if you are not ready."

Lela fell silent.

"Or brother will tell them."

"Don't!" said Lela quickly.

"The.. They should know you're not ready."

Tears began to seep out from both of Lela's eyelids.

Siti hugged her sister.

"After brother gets married later, sister will help tell them, you take it easy, Ummi and Kak Ahmad will definitely understand," said Siti while hugging her sister.

Lela nodded slowly while wiping her tears.

Zaidan looked exhausted after a day of rest he and his wife were in their new apartment.

On the fourth day after the two had legitimately become a married couple, they decided to immediately move to the apartment that Zaidan had prepared for him to occupy with Anita.

Although only a small and simple apartment, but Anita seemed enthusiastic to inhabit the new house, it was, he who incidentally was born from a family that is quite there seems to have no objection at all to live there and it certainly makes Zaidan grateful to have a wife like Anita who accepts him as he is.

In between her breaks, Zaidan leaning on the back of the sofa continued to see Anita who was busy preparing drinks for her in the kitchen, with a loving gaze, and a very happy one, both of his eyes seemed to not want to escape to continue seeing his wife.

"Why? Why do you keep looking at me like that?" anita asked, keeping a tray of two glasses of orange juice on the table and sitting next to her husband.

Zaidan did not answer, he just continued to look at his wife with affection.

Anita then took two glasses on the table, one of which she gave to her husband.

Zaidan took the glass but he did not drink the contents directly, another case with Anita who immediately drank it.

Anita who finished drinking was astonished to see her husband not drinking the water he gave her.

"Why not drink? He said he was thirsty?"

Instead of answering, Zaidan instead kept the glass in his hand onto the table.

He immediately took the glass in his wife's hand, then drank the contents that remained half again, right on the former lips of his wife.

Of course, that made Anita surprised.

"Snake. Why drink in my old drink?"

Zaidan who finished drinking just smiled looking at Anita.

"Rasulullah also drank in the glass of his ex-wife. The Prophet put his mouth on the mark of eating and drinking his wife."

Anita was silent. He was shocked because he just found out about it.

"Snorts? Then what about this?" Zaidan approached and kissed his wife's lips slowly.

Anita who was initially shocked immediately smiled in embarrassment.

"Other times bring just one glass, we will always drink in the same glass," said Zaidan continued by again kissing Anita's lips.

The day before his wedding, Andre was still busy taking care of his work, he was busy playing his laptop in the living room amid the noise of his aunt and other siblings who were busy preparing for his wedding tomorrow.

Suddenly his phone rang, after talking for a while he seemed to be preparing to leave because apparently there was something urgent he had to take care of in the boarding house.

After saying goodbye to his aunt he immediately left with his car, it did not take long because it was a short distance, Andre had arrived there.

He immediately met the students who needed his direction, after a while there and his business was sorted out he intended to return home, while walking towards his car at a glance he glanced at Ummi's house which looked more crowded than usual, some people seem to be busy preparing for their wedding tomorrow.

Andre smiled as he thought that tomorrow he would become a bride, considering that he felt that he could not wait for tomorrow.

But suddenly his steps stopped because he saw a vehicle that he recognized parked next to his car. He immediately turned around intending to hide from the motorist who had just come down who turned out to be a beautiful woman.

"Until when will Andre's brother hide?" Siti coincidentally sees what happened, as she previously knew if her future husband would come back to hide from the woman who was looking for him.

Andre of course was shocked to gasp because his future wife was there.

Not yet himself answered Siti's question, the woman called him.

Andre looked nervous, he was standing in the middle between Siti and Lidya, his business partner who kept walking over to him.

"Ah.. I finally found you" said the woman with relief and pleasure while looking at Andre.

"You're cured, right? Then come with me back to town and we'll get back to work."

"You know everyone is looking for you, they want you to go back to the company and run the business again because we have a big project and we will get a lot of benefits" Lidya said enthusiastically.

"sorry. I can't" replied Andre quickly and confidently.

Lidya frowned.

Siti only looked at the two.

"But it's a big project, a project we've been waiting for all this time."

Andre shook his head.

"I'm also on a big project here." Andre pointed to all corners of the pesantren.

Lidya looked around.

"here? What project?" Lidya laughed because she felt funny.

"My future husband is doing business with God, the benefits he will get are infinite and incalculable with money."
