Behind Aisha's Veil

Behind Aisha's Veil
Someone's Coming

Alvian occasionally gulped at Aisha who was cooking in front of him scantily dressed with her long hair left unraveled. He who sat at the dinner table also occasionally scratched his head that did not itch to see his wife who seemed to continue teasing him.

Apparently besides having the talent to make him always stuck with his words, his wife was also very talented to punch his heart with his adorable behavior. Like this time, Aisha occasionally turned her head towards him with a flirtatious smile.

"Please. Stop that." Alvian covered his face.

Aisha approached him while carrying the last dish she cooked with an amused smile.

"Stop what?" ask him innocently.

"If it keeps going on like this I won't think about your surgical wound." Alvian looked at Aisha sharply.

Aisha simply smiled while serving food to her husband.

"really?" aisha screeched happily as she was talking to someone on the other end of the phone.

Alvian immediately saw his wife sitting beside him on the sofa.

"Yes Brother. I'll pick you up tomorrow" he said again and then ended his conversation after greeting.

Aisha looked at her husband happily.

"Sister Lela, tomorrow will come home from Egypt."

"Your brother?"

"Yes. Sister Lela, she's my sister number six. You have never met, after marriage she went straight with her husband to Egypt."

Aisha immediately told me that her brother was married to a Hafidz Qur'an, after marrying her husband immediately brought her brother to come to Egypt because his sister-in-law was studying at one of the famous universities there.

"After almost a year, Lela's sister was there, she finally came home." Aisha seems to not believe if finally tomorrow they will meet because in fact she already misses her brother very much.

While Aisha looked very happy and enthusiastic, Alvian half-heartedly continued to stare at his wife's face, again admiring her beauty. He also now realized that his wife turned out to have another side that was cheerful and jolly, not as it seemed as if it had always been serious and cynical.

"Can you take me tomorrow?" aisha asked surprised the dumbass Alvian.

"of course. What time?"

"Say it's noon."

Alvian nodded as he then pulled Aisha's hand, held it and held it tightly.

"It's night. We'd better get some sleep."

Aisha nodded.

"Oh yes. Have you taken your medicine?" alvian asked as they moved from their seats.

"It has. Relax, I will not forget. I know I need to get well soon." Aisha smile.

"Because someone is waiting for my recovery" he said again.

Alvian immediately smiled happily. He clutched his wife's body tightly.

Next day.

"Later in the afternoon I'll pick you up. After that we'll go straight to the airport."

"Yes." Yeah." Aisha tidied up the shirt that her husband wore.

"Have you told Ummi and Abah that your brother is coming home?"

"Sister Lela forbade me to tell Ummi and Abah. He said he wanted to surprise."

"Oh. Alright."

"I'm leaving first" Alvian said, taking his cell phone on the table.

Aisha kisses her husband's hand. Alvian then kissed his wife's forehead.

They then looked friendly. Suddenly Alvian hugged Aisha tightly.

"I know this sounds like an exaggeration. But believe me if I miss you always if you take my eyes off."

Aisha smile.

"All right." Alvian stroked his wife's face.

"Just be yourself." Alvian kissed his wife again.

***

Aisha looked at the wall clock, showing it at half-hour one in the afternoon and her husband had not yet come to pick her up.

He who was ready to walk back and forth worried that later they would be late to pick up his brother at the airport.

Aisha then took the initiative to call her husband, many times but never lifted.

She then called the customer service department, asking where her husband was.

"Doctor Alvian is now in the operating room" replied someone on the other end of the phone.

Aisha hung up the phone and immediately picked up her bag, she thought if she should wait for her husband in the hospital so that if her husband finished work they could go straight to the airport so as not to waste a lot of time.

Arriving at the hospital.

Aisha is seen waiting in the lobby, she sees a clock that already shows at one o'clock. In an hour, her brother's plane will land.

She knows that what she is doing is wrong, without her husband's permission she leaves the house, but Aisha hopes that her husband will understand her current circumstances.

She called Alvian again, still unappointed, indicating that her husband must still have surgery.

Aisha looked riled up, thinking if she should just go by herself to pick up her sister. But if it was like that, she was afraid that her husband would get angry.

"Aisha." Aisha instantly saw the origin of the voice of someone who called out to her.

Anita approaches Aisha.

"What's right here?" ask him kindly.

Aisha then told me everything.

"Yes. I heard Dr. Alvian had to do an impromptu operation earlier. There are some accident victims who are seriously injured."

Aisha seemed to understand.

"But it looks like the operation won't be much longer" Anita said, looking at her watch.

"I hope so. Pity my sister if I have to wait" replied Aisha.

Both of them were silent for a moment.

"May I accompany you here?" anita asked doubtfully.

Aisha smiled immediately.

"Of course." Aisha invites Anita to sit down. They sit next to each other.

Anita makes small talk about Aisha's health. Likewise with Aisha who asked about her work.

While they were chatting, some employees were made to be astonished at the familiarity of the two. Remembering if they knew before how the two were always at odds.

"People are watching us." Anita looks uncomfortable

"Leave it." Aisha smiled looking unconcerned at the gazes of the people.

Anita was surprised to see Aisha who remained relaxed as if she did not care.

"Aisha. You know what made me realize and finally let Alvian go?"

Aisha immediately saw Anita.

"You. Your behavior and behavior are always patient when facing me. There is never a reproach and insult that comes out of your mouth like I did to you. You always remind me of my faults and sins, always trying to advise me. Everything made me realize that what Alvian said was true. You are so much better than me."

"Aisha. Compared to you, I feel so bad. It's only natural that Alvian would eventually leave me and choose to be with you."

"In all things. You're so much better than me." Anita looked down, full of regret.

Aisha smiled back.

"I'm not a good person. It's just that God loves me by covering up my disgrace, keeping my speech and behavior. Being a patient not a pusher, being a pacifier not a detractor."
