Chapter 8: Just How Can ...

Akuji had been neatly squeezed, giving him no room to move.

Facing the huge sword that pounced towards him, Akuji activated Evasion, making him able to dodge the massive sword attack that was clearly lethal to him as expected. But, puncture after stab of the spear immediately came catching up quickly towards him. As expected, Akuji could not run.

But did he ever intend to run? The answer is simple, no.

If he intended to run, Akuji would immediately choose to retreat instead of going forward and fight against this group of five goblins. But Akuji did not, he just kept facing all five at once and even in this state, being seen from wherever it did not benefit him, his lips smiled.

Akuji did not try to dodge, he simply activated Swift Run and forcefully broke through the attack. The value of his health that had recovered thanks to the potion immediately fell back. Even so Akuji did not hesitate or tremble, his gaze focused on his true target, the archer. The archer did not have a high attack power, but since the archer actually interfered every time he attempted to cast, it was impossible for Akuji to take his eyes off of him.

Closing the distance quickly, Akuji kicked the archer goblin, keeping it away from any help the other goblins might provide and started attacking him. Won't give that goblin time to be able to pull his bow.

Another Swift Run was immediately activated with the kick that Akuji gave, continuing to keep the archer away until he fell. And as if the distance goblin archer was a hidden piece—

“Kiekkkkkkkkk!” the remaining goblins screamed furiously and started attacking Akuji. However, ever since the archer fell Akuji was able to move more freely even when facing the attacks of the two goblins that became more ferocious.

A great sword and spear, both of them were weapons that when compared to other melee weapons both had the furthest range along with a scythe. Moreover, as already mentioned, both of them also had high attack power, but since that happened, their attack speed was relatively low for simple physical reasons, both of them were relatively heavy.

The two goblins themselves seemed not stupid enough to let Akuji really act as they pleased, they continued to shorten the distance with Akuji in each passing second along with the advantage of the range of their weapons. But ...

“Swift Run.”

... Their efforts seemed useless since Akuji only had to move faster and farther away as the distance between them closed, as if he had no limits on stamina. Just keep doing the curling freely.

I myself wasn't really relaxed, he was still just focused on the two goblins in front of him. Before he stopped for a moment ...

“Elemental Arrow!”

... And start the casting.

If only Akuji could learn the Mobile Cast, he would not need to stop but instead be able to cast while moving. Although it was only wishful thinking since Mobile Cast itself was a Tier 3 Skill. Requires players to be level 100 to be able to take Skill acquisition quests.

However, that kind of thought was never in Akuji's mind. A magic arrow shot out, successfully knocking down the spearheaded goblin but a huge sword soon arrived greeting him. Akuji rolled over, activating Evasion along with his movements but as if having the big sword eyes it immediately changed direction and continued to chase!

‘Evasion!’ thought Akuji. Since his Evasion level was only at level 1, he was unable to use it too much too often. Even so, the other Evasion immediately actively followed Akuji's wishes.

The ground was hit hard, causing an explosion, but Akuji survived. Since Evasion was the type of skill that could be stacked, he could use it consecutively even though the time lag when the skill filled (following the cooldown time) would be a huge gap.

Without thinking of such a thing, Akuji continued to attack ever since he knew that such a large movement would definitely produce a huge opening anyway. Because of this Cut Spell was a skill desired by players, to avoid not this kind of happening.

But the goblin was not a player and he could only remain in his place for a short while after the attack took place. Some moments that have become not for him.

“Magic Flare,” call Akuji. The same movement in the same position, resulting in the same scene being repeated only because Akuji did not have much choice in his attack.

However, the results this time were different. The elemental power exploded, burning the goblin's body, giving it even greater damage due to its burnt status. Not giving up, the goblin kept trying to attack Akuji but the final result was clear.

Make a notification go down along with it. However, it is not an ordinary notice ...

[Unique Monster, Goblin Prince has fallen]

... The notice was not only aimed at Akuji, but the entire cast. The world's notice has gone down. Ignoring Akuji's confusion, no, the entire player who received the notification another line was immediately visible.

[The rise of Goblin King has been thwarted. The goblin spirit had fallen, reducing their strength for quite some time]

Players who received this notification immediately rejoiced whether they understood the previous line or not, they only cared that the strength of the goblins had decreased.

How big is a goblin? They cannot be classified as strong, but when together they are stronger and certainly, troublesome. The goblin level itself varies, from lowest in the dozens to equal the highest level that players have now reached.

Maybe the time in question was only a few days but people knew, especially those at high levels, rankers who were bitter about the attempt to level up. They will be able to gain more experience points.

The logic that was in their heads was simple, weakened goblins the same as they could kill more in a shorter time. Which in the end, it made the experience points gained in the same time increase.

At least, until the last line drifts.

[Communicating players: 1]

Causing silence to immediately descend as their mouths gap.

“Do I see wrong?” muttered one of the players, voicing what the player was thinking.

Vivid is not a one-man game. Vivid is a group game. The players know this very well.

Since they wrestled and had the option of access to the same type of skill, players knew that someone a player who could reverse the entire situation that existed with just his presence was impossible.

And for the existence of a unique monster, how high was his level? No, before talking about levels wouldn't the monsters themselves be at the boss raid level or even more? But now, only one person had taken down such a monster?

Various thoughts came to the mind of the player, was it because he had an item with strong skill? One of the heads of the ten great guilds? Or maybe a hidden ranker?

Players went wild with various conjectures appearing, causing the player forum to explode hotly in response to that last line. It's just that someone knows, Akuji knows since he was the cause of this notice to appear, confirmed by the gift he received.

The level of that goblin, Goblin Prince, or goblin with a great sword was indeed high. At least for Akuji, a person who didn't even reach level ten but that counted low overall!

‘Could it be that in Vivid there is also a development system even for monsters? No, for unique monsters?’ thought Akuji.

What was it like how a prince would be raised in the real world? Where did they also start from the plain child who knew nothing before learning everything they needed and finally being appointed king? Then he had somehow cut off the king, this king-to-be in the early stages? Is that also the reason why the goblin's intelligence is so high?

‘Then at least bring someone who can take care of you!’ Akuji cursed in his heart when he didn't know what to do. His mouth opened and closed before letting out a strange sound, indistinguishable between laughter or something else before seeing the Goblin Prince's corpse in front of him.

“How can ...”
