A Story of the Haram Child

A Story of the Haram Child
Chapter 7 The Evil Plans of Lasmi

"Where are you, Mom?" lasmi asked as soon as Anarya came.

"Finding Nesa."

"You're weird. You think your son is just him? Resti is your son too! Resti needs you too!"

Narya did not comment on his wife's words, she just passed by and entered the house. Lasmi immediately followed from behind, also hastily lined up Anarya's steps that continued to ignore her.

"Mas!"

Anarya still ignored Lasmi's call, she immediately went into the room and looked for car contact. In his mind there was only the fear of losing Nesa thus ignoring Lasmi, his wife.

Brak!

Lasmi slammed the room door as hard as she could. It felt like he was tired of Anarya's indifference. The sound of the door bang made Anarya surprised by Lasmi's attitude, then stared fixedly at the woman who had been married for five years.

"You're outrageous, Mas! I'm your wife, but your attitude doesn't really take care of my feelings. What little can you not appreciate me? Is this how a husband should behave toward his wife?"

Gluey!

Anarya silently swallowed the saliva. Lasmi's words seemed to resuscitate a heart that had been closed for a long time. Yes, all this time Anarya's heart is not entirely for Lasmi. He could not accept the woman before him as a substitute for Daneesa. He was forced to marry Lasmi because the mother threatened to kill herself if she refused the match.

Narya was momentarily stunned, staring at the netra of the woman who had accompanied her for these five years.

"Lasmi .. forgive me," said Anarya while holding Lasmi tearfully.

"Mas, why can't you love me yet? What wrong? I was in your life after Daneesa left. I didn't take you from him." Still sobbing Lasmi in the arms of Anarya.

"Yes, I know. I'm sorry, yes. I was just thinking of Nesa, because Daneela's gonna take it."

Lasmi was surprised to hear Anarya's explanation, she let go of her embrace and looked at the face of the man she loved so much. Yeah, it seems obvious there's concern.

"Who's Daneela?"

"He's Daneesa's twin brother."

"When did you meet him?"

"Ehm .. This morning on the road." Carefully Anarya said, she was afraid that Lasmi would be offended. It is impossible to tell if he met Daneela at the tomb of Daneesa.

"What does he say?"

"He threatened to take Nesa away from me. That's why I came home in a hurry to find Nesa."

"Oh ...."

"Mas tonight also has to go to Daneesa's parents' house. I hope you understand."

"Neither way, Nesa is in her room."

"Correct?" Anarya's eyes were round, her face was sumringah, a happy twinkle was clearly visible on the face of the owner of the dimple. He took his hands off Lasmi's waist and ran to Nesa's room.

"Mr." Anarya hugged Nesa who was reading a book in the chair near the study table.

"Dad ... Dad's home yet? Nesa misses Dad." Nesa returned her father's embrace. Anarya showered many kisses onto Nesa's tiny face.

"Nesa everywhere, I've been looking for Nesa everywhere but I haven't seen her."

"Nesa to Mbok Jum's house, Dad. Nesa learned to make cakes there."

"Nesa can make a cake, donk?"

"Yes, Dad. But there are still some cakes, even then still helped Mbok Jum." Nesa's funny face.

"May you be like your mama, son. Good at making cakes and can have a cake shop like your eyes."

"Mama, Dad?"

Narya gasps. He was surprised by his own words. Why did he talk.

"Well, who's Nesa's mother?"

Narya is confused, she does not know how to explain all the things that have happened because all this time Nesa only knows Lasmi is her mother.

"I mean Dad, like mom."

"Mom's not good at making cakes, Dad. Who is that?"

"Nesa's eating?" Tanya Anarya switched the conversation.

"Dad, answer first. Who's Mama Nesa? And why do you always say Nesa's an illegitimate child?"

The deg!

Aarya was stunned to hear her little princess question.

"When did you say that?"

"Often, every mother calls Nesa or when she's angry," explains Nesa flat.

Anarya's heart felt torn to shreds when she found out that her favorite daughter was called an illegitimate child, especially by the woman she hoped would be a good mother to Nesa. His teeth were clenching in anger, emotions began to stir in his chest.

"Nesa sleep first, yeah. Do not think about the mother's words," said Anarya while peeping her daughter's forehead.

Delivered her little angel to the dreamland of the night with a story about a loving fairy. Upon seeing Nesa sound asleep, he immediately stepped out towards his room.

"Have you satisfied with your son?" lasmi asked when she saw Anarya enter the room.

Anarya did not answer, she chose to sit on the edge of the bed. There was something he held in his heart. Heavy breathing many times he hela.

"It seems like you can't be a good mother to my son" said Anarya still with her back to Lasmi.

"What do you mean?" Lasmi got up from where she was leaning, then sat down next to her husband. He looked at the man with question marks.

"If you can't love Nesa, it's better that we split up" Anarya said still without seeing Lasmi's suspicious face.

"What do you mean?" This time, Lassie lost her patience. Her tone was high, she roughly flipped her husband's body and shook Anarya's shoulder.

The deg!

Lasmi was surprised to see the angry Netra. Just this time Lasmi found her husband's view like that, the view so plunged into the heart. Lasmi felt something was happening.

'Did Nesa say her treatment all this time to her father? It could be bad if Mas Narya found out.' Lasmi is busy with her thoughts, she hopes what she expects is wrong.

"Why do you call Nesa an illegitimate child?" tanya Anarya who increasingly makes Lasmi pale.

"Java!" snapped Anarya while pushing Lasmi's body.

"Maas ...."

"I've believed all along that you could be a good mother to her, but it turns out you've been hurting her with insults!"

"I'm sorry, Mom." Lasmi immediately rushed to Anarya's feet. The water is unstoppable anymore.

"How long have you insulted my son?"

"I was just letting go, Mas. At that time I was tired of housework, but Nesa irritated me. So, I don't mean to insult you, Mas."

"lik! You've been calling him an illegitimate child, not Nesa."

"Because I hate that name!" This time Lasmi stood up and shouted in front of her husband.

Plaque!

A slap landed on Lasmi's right cheek.

"You have no feelings, Mom. You torment me inwardly. I've been with you all this time, but your heart is still with that dead woman!"

Anarya's face changed, the heightened emotions seemed weakly infiltrated by guilt. However, his attitude all along has hurt Lasmi. He rubbed his face with annoyance, always weak.

"Mas, I married you because of the wishes of our parents. I didn't take you from Daneesa. But if you treat me like that, what's a good husband's attitude?" Lasmi was still trying to make Anarya feel guilty for her attitude just now.

"I don't like you calling Nesa an illegitimate child. Please don't repeat. I hope you understand that."

"Yes, Mas. I-i understand. I'm sorry, yeah. I will try to be a good mother to Nesa" Lasmi said, hugging her husband, who was standing on his back.

Yes, again Anarya is weak. Just as weak as Bu Bramantyo is forcing him to marry the woman who is now hugging him from behind.

"let go. I need time to calm down. I slept with Nesa tonight."

With Lasmi forced to take off her embrace. A satisfied smile expands from the lips. At least until now she can still control her husband.

****

"Ma, can't you tell Daneesa's parents' address" Lasmi told her mother-in-law on the phone.

"Make what, baby?"

"I want to see Daneesa's twin sister, Ma. Mas Narya said, he threatened to take Nesa. It seems like the perfect time to get rid of that bastard child from Lasmi's life, Ma."

"We'll be there together, Mama'll take care of everything."

"What's right, Ma?"

"Yes. You just set the time when."

"Okay, ready dear Mama. My mother is a good in-law, huh. I'll tell you again, Ma. Lasmi has to find an excuse first so Mas Narya does not suspect that we are leaving."

"Yes, I'm waiting for you."

"Okay, Ma."

After hanging up the phone, Lasmi began to think what she would do next. The resentment towards Nesa grew, for her the child was a shadow of Anarya's past, the man she loved so much.

"This time I should be able to get rid of the boy away from my life," Lasmi muttered accompanied with a cynical smile.
