Saturday afternoon a tinge of orange coloring the twilight sky in the western part. Two children were sitting on a pile of concrete foam in an open area.
The little girl with hair draped along her waist was seen enjoying the sight of a kite flying in the clouds. Sometimes he corrected his hair that was gently blown by the wind that afternoon.
Beside him sat a boy of his age, a slightly mushy body, pure white, and dimpled. A joyful laughter was always present on the little man's face. His hand was engrossed in pulling the strings attached to his kite, a kite that had soared high with a long tail.
"Nesa, do you like my kite?" asked Asril while looking towards Nesa.
"Yes, I like it. You are good at making and decorating kites" Nesa replied with a sweet smile at her best friend.
"If you like it, I'll make it for you tomorrow. So you can play with me."
Nesa just nodded and smiled. His gaze returned to the kite owned by Asril who described his favorite transformer robot. There he saw a line of words by the names Asril and Nesa.
"Asril, do you know what an illegitimate child is?"
"Hm ...." Asril thought, his index finger scratched the nose of the sign that he was remembering something.
"Who did you get those words from?" asril asked, giving up because he could not find an answer.
"From mom. Mom used to say I was a bastard."
"Try asking your mother."
Nesa was silent. His gaze returned to the sun preparing to return to the contest.
"Asril, it's late afternoon. We're home, yuk!" take Nesa to stand up.
Without being asked again, Asril rolled up a kite and drove Nesa home on her bicycle .
"Nesa, tomorrow we go to school together, yeah. You do not have to ride your own bike. Let me pick you up" Asril said in front of Nesa's house.
"Don't you feel tired of my bullies?"
"No, Nes. In fact I'm glad there's a friend to be joking with on the street."
"OK, Asril. But ...."
"But why?"
Nesa looked at her house, as if she was afraid. He approached Asril and said half a whisper.
"Tomorrow I'll have to stop by Mbok Jum's house first, grab a cake that I'll sell at school. I have to secretly sell cookies so mom doesn't know. So, don't tell anyone, yeah."
"Are your pocket money lacking?"
"Mom never gave me pocket money."
"Why?"
"Said mom, I can't just snack at school. Besides, my mom said I should learn frugally."
"Oh .. It's okay, Nes. Tomorrow I am ready to deliver," said Asril spirit.
"Thank you very much, Asril."
"Either. See you tomorrow."
Asril was pedaling a bicycle leaving Nesa who was still standing looking at the departure of her best friend, a friend who had always cared about her.
Yes, only Asril was a close friend of Nesa's. His house was not far from Nesa's. It's just that Nesa never played into Asril's big house because Asril's mother often showed a dislike face.
"Eh, bastard! What are you doing there? Wait for your father to come home? Your father's five days ahead isn't coming home, so you don't have to wait there!"
Nesa was shocked, she turned her head towards the voice she had known and memorized.
"No, Mom."
"Run in if I don't want to lock the door!"
"Yes, Mom." Nesa rushed into the house.

The twilight changed the night as the little girl stood by the window. The time had already shown at 08:45, but the little girl's eyes were still wet with tears.
"Dad ..." he muttered as he sobbed again.
"Dad, Nesa's with me. Don't stay with Nesa, Dad." Still with a little girl repeatedly calling her father.
"Nesa is afraid to be alone, Dad. Nesa's stomach is hungry too." Tears flooded his cheeks. Sometimes he wipes with the back of his hand.
He sobbed at the window, hoping that his father would hear his cries and return home soon. But his hope was dashed, only the sound of the night beast continued to be unpretentious that he heard.
"The village!" call someone from outside the window while knocking on the shutters which made Nesa shocked instead of a bitch. A small man was outside the window.
"Asril?"
"Please open the window, Nes."
"What are you doing, Asril?" asked Nesa after opening the window.
"I brought you some food" Asril said, handing over a black plastic package.
"You ate yes, Nes. I have to hurry home, afraid that I'll run."
"L-yes, thank you, Asril."
"Yes, equally. Oh yeah, don't cry anymore, Nes. Eating full keeps sleeping. That was me wrapping you chicken rice and avocado juice. Already, yeah. Dagh!"
Nesa's sadness was slightly relieved, tonight she was able to sleep in a filled stomach. He turned his back when he opened the food box containing rice and fried thigh chicken.
Soon he ate food that he rarely ate, not because his mother never cooked, but because his mother always said it was for Resti, so he had to give up.
During this time, he could enjoy a good meal if his father was at home. It must also be with fear because of the gaze of his mother who seemed to give the code so as not to take much.
But unfortunately, the father often traveled out of town because of his job as a property entrepreneur. Should be with his father's profession, he will not be in shortcomings.
Lasmi, the woman he had been calling mother always made him in need and hunger. Even Nesa never understood why her mother hated her so much that she was often angry for no reason.
For the umpteenth time Asril came as a helper god. Asril knew because he often saw Nesa holding her stomach at school or playing. If Nesa's father is not home, then Asril is secretly sending food.
Finished eating rice and chicken voraciously, he enjoyed the freshness of avocado juice. Tonight was really amazing for him to be able to enjoy such a sumptuous meal like this.
Yes, it is possible for other chicks chicken and avocado juice is common. But for Nesa it was amazing. He could eat at the dinner table only when his father was there, the rest he ate what his mother gave him.
"Yes, Allah ... Nesa was thankful that God sent Asril to send food to Nesa. Nesa was full, O God. Tonight Nesa can sleep well" Nesa said with a hand.
His smile re-embarked from his tiny lips and a moment later he had fallen asleep in his dreams. The dream he had wanted to feel in his real life
