279 - Tomoaki Maeno

The body of the young man who hit the wall only stopped after being right in front of Tomoaki Maeno who was sitting quietly on his throne. The guard turned out to be lifeless.

"They are arrogant people. Looks like I should step in,"

Just one flick of a finger and all the youths dressed in all black who were fighting Xiao Shuxiang, Yuuichi, and the others jumped back and disappeared in the air.

Xiao Shuxiang frowned but did not say anything. He assumed that the worst thing about this fight might come out in a moment.

Washi, Taiga, and Yota try to control their breathing. Since then the three were quite difficult to catch their breath, fighting with sword techniques that were so fast was too draining.

"Are you guys hurt?"

Washi asked the condition of his friends, he seemed to have made the mistake of coming to attack the Ice Queen just by relying on his group mates as well as Xiao Shuxiang, Hu Li, and O Zhan. Obviously this is tantamount to bringing life.

"I don't want to go home either. If you have to die here, so be it. I'm so ready,"

Yota was the youngest, yet she was not afraid at all. He followed Yuuichi into the Ice Queen's palace from behind.

"We have often faced such danger, you don't be a coward, you're not what you used to be,"

Taiga nudges Washi's arm slowly, then catches up with Yuuichi and Yota. He also gets a lot of injuries, but the fight will not be exciting if only get here, they have not saved a single child, so there is no way they will go home.

"Hu Li, let's go."

Xiao Shuxiang was unwilling to lose, he still had to save Elder Da Lin's descendant who was likely inside the Ice Queen's palace. Hu Li and O Zhan would naturally follow him.

Tomoaki Maeno watched Xiao Shuxiang from top to bottom. He was initially quite interested in her because he saw the way the young man fought that seemed wild, but now the sense was no longer there. According to him, Xiao Shuxiang was an easy-going young man.

Yuuichi, Yota, Xiao Shuxiang, Hu Li and O Zhan were shocked. The incident happened very quickly and when they realized it was too late, Washi and Taiga could not be saved.

"Don't stare at the snake on his shoulder,"

Yota, Hu Li, O Zhan, and Xiao Shuxiang unintentionally stared at the reddish snake and their bodies stiffened and turned into ice sculptures.
