Chapter 21
For the next month, Ardian no longer went home with Nia. Although the trip was the same, but during the trip to campus in the car, Nia and Ardian did not talk much.
Likewise, when passing by at home, do not greet each other. They only talk briefly when there are important things that need to be answered. Their relationship felt very cold and distant even though their bodies were close together. Nia feels she has lost Ardian even though Ardian is nearby and lives in the same house.
During that month, Hansen always drove Nia home from college without ever missing a day. The guy showed his sincerity to Nia, not once had he ever spoken much less to be rude to Nia like Ardian.
Because of Hansen's tenderness, sincerity, and kindness, Nia's heart slowly began to be touched. He intended to open the door of his heart for the man. There was no harm in accepting Hansen's offer back then, being his girlfriend. After all, Hansen was the type of man he had dreamed of all this time, patient, caring, loving, and kind.
“My mom kept asking about a college friend I brought home every day, Nia,” Hansen said on one occasion. “Mama already knows that it's you. She knows your name is Nia and my class.”
“He-eh,” reaction Nia. They were sitting in Hansen's car on the way home.
“How about....,” Hansen speech disconnected, sounds a bit doubtful.
Nia looked over, waiting for her follow-up. “What if, Hansen?” asked Nia gently.
“If you are with me come to my house? Visiting Mama. He wants to see you. Want once.”
Hansen surprised. Unexpectedly Nia would respond to his invitation and even ask when?
“Tomorrow can, Nia?” hansen said quickly.
“Besok?” reset Nia. “Tok is it Sunday?”
“Yes, tomorrow is Sunday, so we have plenty of time,” Hansen replied quickly.
“Alright, tomorrow I wait for you to pick up at home, at 11 noon,” break up Nia.
Hansen held his breath and exhaled slowly. He was afraid of his sighs that were hunting because it was good to be heard by Nia.
She cheered so much that she dared not say anything more, afraid that the girl would change her mind or refuse, changing her decision.
“Iya, I picked you up at home at 11 pm,” Hansen said repeating Nia's remarks earlier. After that the car continued to drive carrying the girl home without much more conversation in it.
