When Love Should Choose

When Love Should Choose
Nia and Ardian's First Day to Campus

Chapter 16

Six weeks Nia has been living in the house of Om Vishnu. During those six weeks, she was with Ardian through a lot. Talk, have breakfast together, swim in the pool in front of the house, see pet fish in the pool, ride the iron swing, see the afternoon sun, take a walk to the mall, eat, shopping, hang out in the cafe, etc, watch, and more.

Those six weeks were the happy moments of Nia and Ardian. Six happy weeks, it only took four more weeks to be enough for Ardian to erase 10 years of his unhappy life and replace it with 10 happy weeks.

“Tomorrow lecture will begin, Nia,” said Ardian reminded one afternoon as they were sitting around on the veranda.

“Iya, Ardi. I'm scared of college. How did that college feel? Will friends on campus be good on Nia later?” tanyakanya.

“Past you any good later,” smile Ardian. “Just relax, Nia, if anyone dares to mess with you, just tell me, let me teach you a lesson. Haha,” Laughter Ardian.

“You're famous on campus, huh?” ask Nia to know.

“That's it,”guk Ardian while throwing a sweet smile.

“The plan is, tomorrow we will go to campus together, yes? You drove me?” ask Nia to clarify.

“Pastilah, we go together,” replied Ardian.

Next morning…

Nia was wearing a white T-shirt combined with blue jeans, matching the color of Ardian clothes even the same pattern.

During these 1.5 months, every time they went to the mall, Ardian always stopped by the clothing store at the mall to buy new clothes for Nia. He said, to prepare for college on campus later. The students were mostly dressed clean and looking new, while the clothes that Nia brought from her house were old clothes that had somewhat faded in color.

Ardian said, Nia must dress fairly unsightly when traveling with him. Otherwise, later meet his friends will be noticed with wonder. Uncool, Ardian always wears famous brand clothes while Nia is just mediocre.

Therefore, he deliberately bought new clothes that are famous for Nia as well. Even on the first day of college, Ardian said he would wear the same clothes as Nia they bought two pairs of men's and women's fashion.

Om Vishnu and Aunt Siska seemed happy to see the closeness of Nia and Ardian. Unlike the first time they met often fighting, now it looks more comfortable.

Ardian's emotions slowly change with Nia. He became more patient and attentive. During these six weeks, Nia was not separated from him, therefore her heart felt happy.

Ardian and Nia were already sitting in the car carrying their respective college bags. A moment later, the car that was driven by Ardian drove away from the yard of the house splitting the highway to their campus.

Along the way to campus, Nia's face smiled anxiously. Happy, because he can go to school again. While in school, Nia was a diligent and smart child, always champion class until getting a student duty.

Now, setting foot again in the place of learning, his heart was happy even though full of anxious hope. How did that college feel? Will college friends be nice to him? Arrogant they?

“Just relax, Nia,” said Ardian while smilingly glancing at the girl. He seemed to understand what Nia was thinking from seeing her facial expression, happy to mix anxiously.

“Iya, Ardi. I'm a little nervous,” he said.

“Nothing, nothing to fear,” entertain Ardian.

Nia nodded.

Half an hour later, Ardian's car arrived at the campus gate. He directed his car to the parking lot and stopped his car in one place.

“Come, we're down!” bring him.

Nia unbuckles her seatbelt, picks up her college bag, then gets out of the car with Ardian.

He looked around the campus building that looked spacious and magnificent. Many students were present that morning. Guys, girls, walking alone, alone, or in groups.

In the corridor of the upper floor of the building there were already many students standing, walking back and forth, or conversing.

What a vast university building, one Faculty of Economics alone is so broad, especially the entire campus.

Nia followed Ardian's footsteps which led him to walk towards the building. Shortly after, their steps reached the stairs to the 2nd floor of the building.

“One semester student of his college on the 2nd floor,” said Ardian. If I'm on the 3.” floor

“Oh... So we're different floors, Ardi? It will be difficult to meet later,” said Nia.

“Neither, the important thing is that I know your class, I will be able to find you. You don't go anywhere yeah, still in your class let me easily find you later.”

“Then I want to find you how? Should it go up to the 3rd floor?” ask Nia.

“No, you don't have to look for me, I'm looking for you. Okay?”

Nia nodded.

Their steps reached the 2nd floor of the building.

Nia trailed Ardian behind who looked busy looking around for Nia's class amid the crowd of students who were standing and, walking back and forth, and conversing.

“Me!” ardian exclaimed when he found the class he was looking for. He turned his head back, looking at Nia who had followed him earlier. “This is your class, Nia. Go inside,” he said.

Nia also entered the class designated Ardian.

“Sit here only,” said Ardian, choosing a front seat for Nia.

The girl obeyed Ardian's orders, sat down at the chosen place and put her bag down.

“You're here only, yes, wait for the bell to ring. I was going to find my class first on the 3rd floor,” he said.

“Iya, Ardi,” reply Nia.

Ardian turned around, walking out of Nia's classroom.

Nia sat on the chair while giving a glance around the classroom.

He saw that there were some students sitting in one corner, in the other corner were some students. Then there were those who sat alone like him, no one had yet chosen a place nearby.

Nia sat like a dazed person, no one greeted her. No one asked him to talk. The student students seemed to have their own activities and thoughts. Some were chatting with friends nearby, some were looking at the gadget in his hand, but no one sat daydreaming like him.

Ardian once said, to find a friend, we must greet others first, introduce ourselves, invite to talk, long will be friends and familiar. If we are just silent, rarely would be willing to approach because it considers arrogant creatures who do not like to be friends.

So, he should greet them first? thought Nia while gulping. He didn't have the courage to do that. It was unusual for him to talk to people he did not know. Even people he knew rarely opened conversations because Nia was quiet. He would only seem familiar to people he had known long and close.

Nia was still sitting daydreaming, looking at the movements of the students from the chair she was sitting in. It's okay if no one greeted him, after all he went to this campus also the main goal is to study, find knowledge, add knowledge. Whether or not there was a friend was a second matter, he thought.

Nia lowered her head after getting tired of circulating her gaze around the classroom. He noticed his short fingertips. Tight and clean.
