Chapter 9's

Again I was in a white room that had no end. And again Yume was standing in front of me. I had a million questions for her, but my mouth felt locked and speechless.

"Kaito .. I'll explain something to you"

Unexpectedly, Yume explained that she was an angel. I don't believe what he says, but what's wrong with me listening to it until it's over.

Yume continued her story about the curse I had. I was cursed by a god for a reason. Yume said I will never be able to feel happiness in this world. I don't know why I started to believe the words of this angel standing in front of me.

Because I also feel like I've never had happiness in my life. I kept trying to pursue my dreams and nothing came true. Maybe this dream is just the result of my broken heart. But this dream feels very real if it should be called a dream.

And the curse-stricken man will be completely controlled by the devil one night that the devil decides. The devil will use that power to kill other humans or even the humans he controls.

"If I were half demon then .. would I be like them too?" I asked because Yume said I was half demon.

"No. but you can still lose control of the power that the devil gives you," Yume's words again confused me for having to understand all the stories in one night.

My duty is part of the punishment of the gods for the wrongs of my past. I don't really understand what my past means. For a while I thought of it as a previous life. And my job is to free the person who was cursed by the devil.

I have the power of a god and also the power of a demon. I am not an ordinary person either. Angels often refer to people like me as the devil-hearted angels.
