Cooperation

"Miss Olivia, you were called by Director Jerome" said the woman who had just walked into Olivia's office.

The woman is the Director's secretary in Olivia's new office. Five months ago after breaking up with Vincent, Olivia resigned from the company she worked for after learning it was a Reno family company. Now Olivia works in a small company and thanks to her ability she occupies the position of Manager in her new place.

Everything Vincent has to do with him is deliberately kept away. The only person who doesn't have a close relationship with Vincent is Alvin, which is why he doesn't stay away from him. After all, he had scapegoated Alvin when he broke up with Vincent, even though it was with Alvin's approval, but somehow Olivia feels guilty for having used it so she still has a friendship with Alvin.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?"

Nesya who was in Olivia's room asked with an astonished face. Director Jerome is a 50-year-old man. Treat her to her subordinates very well, which is why she is liked and respected by all her employees.

Olivia simply replied by gently shaking her head. "I'll see Director Jerome first." Olivia got up from her seat and walked towards the Director's room upstairs.

"Olivia, tomorrow accompany me to go somewhere to talk about cooperation. This is very important, considering that it is the largest company in our country so I need you to accompany me there."

Olivia frowned unconsciously hearing that. "I think you're the best fit to keep me company, considering you used to make deals with big companies while working at your father's company."

Yes, Olivia did explain in outline about the work she did while she was still working at her father's company during the last interview with Director Jerome.

"Which company does the Director mean?"

"Wijaya Group Company."

Olivia's eyes grew bigger for a moment. All this time he had tried to stay away from anything related to Vincent, but now it was his own boss who asked for it. I want to refuse, but I can't. Director Jerome was very kind to him. While many companies rejected him, only Director Jerome's company accepted him.

"Director, shouldn't you come along with your Secretary? I don't really understand about the Wijaya Group company and I'm afraid I'll screw it up."

That's not a reason he deliberately made, but maybe it will happen if Vincent finds out that his place of work wants to cooperate with his company to avoid increasing losses. Vincent hates him, Vincent may take revenge with him through the company he works for.

"You can accompany me there later, others let me take care of it. Help me, Olivia. This company doesn't know how much more it's going to last if we fail to get this cooperation."

Olivia stared down for a bit, thought for a moment then finally nodded. It's a work affair, shouldn't Vincent involve personal affairs into work affairs, should he? It was just Olivia thinking, not knowing how Vincent would react when he met her again.

Arriving the day they came to the Wijaya company, Olivia set her foot for the first time in the Wijaya Group feeling nervous. His heart spurred quickly as he stood in front of the loby along with Director Jerome. After informing them of their arrival at the receptionist below, they were escorted by a beautiful woman to the waiting room upstairs and asked them to wait for a moment.

After the woman's departure, Olivia and the Director discuss a few things while awaiting the arrival of President Vincent and his secretary. Ten minutes passed and suddenly the door of the room opened. Olivia looked over with a racing heart. When he saw who had entered, Olivia's shoulders unconsciously slumped down.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." A 50-year-old man entered with a woman.

"Look, our President suddenly has a sudden business so he can't see you. I'll represent him."

There was a sense of relief in Olivia's heart because she didn't have to meet Vincent in person. They also began to discuss the submission of cooperation for about 30 minutes.

"I'll discuss it with President Vincent first. I'll let you guys know later."

Two days later they got word from the Wijaya Group. Director Jerome was asked to directly come to Wijaya's company with a letter of agreement. When I got the news, Director Jerome was very happy. This time, only Director Jerome had come there unaccompanied by Olivia.

The next day, Director Jerome returned from the company Wijaya Group and immediately asked Olivia to come to his room. When she saw Director Jerome's lethargic face, Olivia felt astonished and she couldn't bear to ask.

"President Vincent won't cooperate with our company."

"Why? Didn't they agree to work with us?"

Wijaya Group has asked them to bring a cooperation agreement, does not that mean they have agreed to the cooperation.

"She immediately refused when I said that you would be in charge of this cooperation."

Seeing Director Jerome's disappointed face, Olivia immediately felt guilty. "I will meet with President Vincent and say that I will step down. He would've agreed to cooperate if I wasn't in charge."

Director Jerome shook his head softly with his sluggish face. "Freely, I've already told President Vincent that and he still refuses."

Director Jerome's long breath was clearly heard in Olivia's ears. Working with the Wijaya Group company is the best way to save their company so Olivia can understand that Director Jerome is very disappointed because the cooperation was rejected by Vincent.

"Is there no other requirement from him for President Vincent to continue to agree to this cooperation?"

"Nothing, except...." Director Jerome looked at Olivia with a complicated look.

"Except what?"

"Unless I fire you from this company."
