“The Barbarian King is my real father? What does it mean?”

Xena froze on the spot, she was not even able to breathe properly now, it felt like she had just been thrown by a bomb that caused a powerful explosion. Xena's fingertips cooled down, how did she respond to the reality that her Grandfather had just revealed? Suddenly Xena was hit with a headache, she continued to babble to take down the Barbarian King and it turns out that now the truth appears before her.

“Xena, listen to me, there is a story you need to know about the relationship of your mother and your biological father.”

The air around becomes heavier, Eddie and Thomas stare seriously at Xena, they have been keeping this secret for years. Then they want to dismantle Mother Xena's entire past with the Barbarian King.

“This is a story 22 years ago, before I wanted to apologize to you because I was also the reason why all this happened. There was a special bond between Emperor Charise and our family, and then the imperial family requested that your mother marry one of the Crown Princes aka the previous Emperor. However, your mother refused to be Empress, it made me so angry that I uttered harsh words and kicked your mother out of the house.

Your mother was hurt by what I said and she left the house, and I looked for her everywhere, but I couldn't find her. Up to two years later, your mother came home in a state of great pregnancy and with a body full of wounds as if she ran all day and was injured by someone.”

Eddie pauses the story for a moment, his head dizzy when he remembers what happened to Mother Xena.

“Then what else happened?” ask Xena.

“Dad, don't force yourself, let me tell the rest to Xena.” Thomas forbids Eddie to speak again because it seems that Eddie's shortness of breath relapses again when talking about Xena's mother.

“Tapi—”

“Grandfather, it's okay, let Uncle tell me.”

Eventually Eddie was forced to leave the rest of the story to Thomas, he leaned his body on the back of the sofa.

“For two years your mother disappeared it turns out she was found by the Barbarian King, they fell in love with each other during that first meeting. However, your mother said that she discovered the great secret of the Barbarian King that she wanted to make you a mash-up and a bride for the Demon King. Before you were born your biological father already had plans to give you as a bride from the Demon King in order to gain more power.

However, your mother refuses to give you and she escapes to take you and Alina, who is still in the womb. Your mother was chased by an army of Barbarian Kings, fortunately your mother managed to escape from her pursuit. At first we didn't believe your mother's story, but after seeing your power to control poison we became convinced that you were the son of the famous Barbarian King by his poison control.”

From the story presented by Eddie and Thomas, Xena now understands the meaning of his mother's diary that he found some time ago. Xena exhaled heavily, thinking that the matter was getting more complicated as she had to deal with her biological father. Xena did not care much for the Barbarian King, but she could not accept that his mother had been taken advantage of by the uncivilized man.

“If that's the story then I have to kill him, no matter he's my father or not, but he's already hurt Mom,” Xena growled.

Eddie and Thomas look at each other, Xena really does not look sad after knowing who is the father. Xena was not afraid to face her enemy, even if it was her own father.

Eddie asked this question because since he was curious about Xavier's identity, his blond hair looks striking and also violet eyes like Xander's eyes. Xena completely forgot something important, she forgot to change Xavier's hair color before leaving for this place.

‘Sial! How can I forget the most important thing about Xavier's hair? Though it was clear that her hair was so striking, but I could have forgotten,’ muttered Xena in heart.

Xena is looking for an excuse to hide Xavier's identity so that his family doesn't find out. Xena was really confused as to what reason she should give her family to believe her words.

“Eumm .. i-it, actually it .. magic! Yes, it is magic,” Xena's excuse to wave while laughing clumsily.

Xena's lies are too easy to read, even Eddie and Thomas know that Xena is lying to them. The two set their eyes flat on Xena, seeing their expressions Xena instantly understood that they did not believe her.

“Alright, you don't need to explain,” said Eddie decided not to make Xena have trouble finding another reason.

After that, Xena talked about various other problems with Eddie and Thomas, the period of their exile was almost over. Soon they will leave this place and move to the capital. Duke Alister's burned-out residence has now been rebuilt by witches. Xena could calm down because with them, she did not have to worry about the fate of the Duke Alister family.

Xena decides to go home before nightfall, Eddie and Thomas tell Xena to stay, but she refuses because there are some things that need to be done because the revolutionary forces will be in action for three more days. Xena also told Eddie, if he wants to return to the capital, then he must return after the attack ended.

“Xavier, can we talk for a moment?” ask Eddie.

Xavier approached Eddie and Thomas, but Eddie hugged Xavier so tightly.

“M-sorry, why you—”

“It feels good that I can see my granddaughter giving birth to a son as handsome as you, at least before I die I have made sure that Xena is married to the right man,”.

Xavier was silent, his eyes were teary, he had never once met either Eddie or Thomas because in his previous life they had both died as a result of an attack from the Demon King. The first attack occurred on the day that after Xena and Xavier got engaged, that was the day that Xena started in a random state of memory. Sometimes Xena thinks of herself as the Queen of Satan and sometimes she remembers Xander as her husband.

“How can you both know about it?” xavier asked with tears in his eyes.

“Family instincts are never wrong, looking from your hair and eyes alone we can tell who you are. Are you from the future? This is the power of the goddess because you made it across time to the line where your Father and Mother were young,”.

“Enjoy your time with your parents, I don't know what you're going through in the future, but you should be happy. Thank you for being a witness to the love of Xena and Xander.”
