TOXIC: Story of Masha

The Part 33

Until the morning of the next day, none of Masha, Mike or Doni, were interested in taking another walk in the city.

More so with Masha, who prefers to return to their hometown soon, and complete the work Mike has given her, which has been delayed for the past two days.

Moreover, their journey to return, will take a long time, and quite tiring, while Mike, already a few nights passing, always lack sleep.

"Are you able to drive again?" masha asked, when Mike's car had walked out of Mike's father's yard.

"Yes. Just chill. Just so you chat with me, so I'm not bored... If I'm tired, we can also stop for a while on the road" replied Mike casually.

Not too long ago Mike's car drove on the road, Doni who did not want to experience motion sickness again, chose to rush to take anti-drunk travel drugs.

"Do I know what you were talking about that night?" ask Mike.

"When?" Masha asked back to confirm Mike's question.

"Doni asked me to marry him." said Masha.

"Then? Do you agree?" ask Mike.

"But... Have you ever thought about being his wife?" ask Mike.

"Yet. I just got to know him. Besides, I feel, if I'm too young, to think about marriage" Masha replied.

"Don't you love him?" ask Mike.

"Yes. I do love Doni, but it hasn't made me think of committing as seriously as that" Masha replied.

"Is that your only reason?" ask Mike.

"What do you mean?" ask Masha.

"Hmmm... I mean, is there anyone else you like? Maybe your boyfriend was at school?" ask Mike.

Masha took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly.

"No. I never had a boyfriend. Doni's my first girlfriend" replied Masha.

Mike looked at Masha for a moment, then looked straight ahead again.

"Seriously? You're not kidding anymore?" ask Mike.

"Yes. Why why?" ask Masha.

Mike seemed to be laughing.

"I feel less able to believe, if a girl as beautiful as you, also heard from Doni, you are also a smart student. Then no one ever asked you to date?" said Mike.

"So you think I'm lying?" ask Masha.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean that. I was just surprised." replied Mike.

"Is it possible that the male student at your school isn't confident to approach you?" ask Mike.

"I don't know. To be clear, until I met Doni, I never felt her name was dating. I do have a boyfriend, but really only a friend" replied Masha.

Mike looked to nod his head.

"Is there really no way to take your diploma from your father?" ask Mike.

"aaah... I don't know. No idea at all came to my head" replied Masha.

Talking about her father, only made Masha feel bad, until Masha finally tried to think about finding another conversation.

"Who did you buy a present for yesterday?" ask Masha.

"Why are you asking?" ask Mike.

"Hmmm... Do you have a boyfriend you never met with us? You see, Doni also does not know that there is a woman close to you," said Masha.

"Do you want to know? Or want to know?" mike asked, smiling broadly.

Mike laughed a little.

"It's a shame that none of you are jealous. Then maybe if I disappear, no one will miss me" Mike said.

"Eh! It's not... I mean, if you're happy, we'll be happy too" Masha said.

"Oohs... So, if I had a boyfriend, none of you would be disappointed?" ask Mike.

"Yes. Isn't that a good thing? We, as your friends, must support your choice" replied Masha.

"okay! I'll hold your word!" said Mike.

"When can I see it?" ask Masha.

Mike chuckled, then took one of Masha's hands, and gripped it tightly.

"It's been that impatient?" ask Mike.

"I'm just asking." answered Masha flatly.

"Hmmm... Just hang...! 'And I told you that you would know?!" said Mike.

"Yes, yes." said Masha.

"Oh, yes! Why do you seem to be in such a hurry to return to the warehouse?" ask Mike.

"Are you tired of walking with us?" ask Mike again.

"It's not... I'm not bored with you. But, the work you told me to do, I just finished a little" Masha replied.

"That's your reason? You don't have to think about it! I asked you to accompany me. So, I must have known that the job would be delayed" Mike said.

"Look off... That's not urgent work" Mike continued.

Masha looked at his hand that was still held by Mike, which now felt that Mike seemed to tighten his grip even more.

Apparently, Mike is a person who likes to express with a physical touch, his affection for everyone close to him.

Because Masha also saw Mike several times embrace Doni's shoulder, and when Mike and Doni were chatting together, Mike occasionally touched even holding Doni's shoulder.

While Doni, often seems to express his feelings with *act of service.
