The magnificent house stands in the middle of a spacious yard, surrounded by a high fence with white paint, looks striking compared to the tall buildings around it, which are only straight boxes towering up.
How the Mike family, to be able to have a house like that in the middle of the city, near the main highway, next to office buildings.
It was not only Masha who was amazed to see Mike's house, because Doni also looked like a person amazed, when he got out of Mike and walked into the house.
"You've never been here?" ask Masha to Doni.
"Yet. I've only been to his apartment" replied Doni.
"This house looks amazing! How much money do you have Mike?" ask Doni lightly.
"Doni!" masha exclaimed, who was shocked by Doni's question to Mike.
Doni is happy to joke, but for Masha, sometimes Doni jokes a little late.
Mike just shook his head, and pursed his lips that moved one side of his face.
"It's all my father's, not mine... So how can you think that I have a lot of money?" said Mike.
The courtyard of the house can be a sports field, if removed all plants, and ornamental statues are neatly arranged there.
Mike then opened a large door on the front of the house, which looked like a gate with an automatic lock using a password and fingerprints.
"Let's go in!" bring Mike.
Mike left the door open wide, until Masha and Doni passed it, then Mike closed the door again.
Masha to the point of feeling a bit reluctant to step on the floor of the house, which is clean shiny with a simple motive, but still shows its luxury.
Not only does the outside look amazing, the inside of the house is no less astounding.
Apparently, Mike's father loved traditional decorations and antiques, as well as paintings that seemed to be of high artistic value.
So, almost every part of the house that is affordable Masha's view, some displays that do not feel bought by people with a lower-middle economy, neatly arranged, clean and of course beautiful to the eye.
The furniture is not too dense, and only functional furniture is in it.
Most of it, part by part of the room, looked empty and relieved.
"You want to sit here first, or go straight to the room?" ask Mike.
"Hmmm... Where are you going?" ask Masha.
"I want to go to the housekeeper, to ask them to prepare food for us" Mike replied.
"Why? You guys wanna come?" ask Mike.
"Yes" answered Masha.
"I'll just wait here" replied Doni, who then sat leaning against one of the sofas, which looked very soft.
"Come on! If you want to come," take Mike to Masha.
Masha then goes with Mike deep inside the house.
Masha did want to look around room by room inside the house, or rather, Masha wanted to see the unique displays that were there.
Masha could not stop being amazed, when she saw the antiques that only she could see drawn, which were in the books of history.
Every now and then, Masha almost stopped walking, and looked at paintings, or antiques she could see at close range.
"You're interested in stuff like that?" mike asked, seemingly following Masha's steps more, than walking according to her goal.
"Yes. Maybe everyone will be interested too. These paintings and antiques look beautiful, and catch the eye" Masha replied.
"Hmmm... Only certain people. I'm not interested in antiques or traditional goods. I'm just happy to see the painting" Mike said.
"Is there a reason?" ask Masha.
In a hurry, Masha then catches up with Mike, and walks beside him.
Every now and then, Masha glanced at Mike who was walking around without even talking to Masha again, until they both arrived at the kitchen of the house.
Some of the workers were there, then stood up and approached Mike when he saw Mike open the door of the room.
"Is there anything you want to eat?" mike asked, looking at Masha.
"As far as you are...!" answer Masha.
"Hmmm... What do you want to drink then?" ask Mike again.
"As for you, I'm not the kind of person who likes to be picky" Masha replied.
Mike then conversed with some of the people inside, while Masha remained standing there, raising her gaze into the room.
Not like a regular kitchen, but it is similar to a special kitchen for restaurants.
Is this how people who have a lot of money live?
Looks a little excessive.
Not that Masha wanted to judge or want to judge the bad, she just felt astonished because it was unusual to see such a family home.
The way to enjoy life between the rich and the common man, is impossible to equate, right?
Maybe for Masha it feels excessive, but what if Mike's family really needs it?
"Let's get back to the front!" take Mike with you, holding Masha's hand, and walk with her.
"Who lives in this house usually?" ask Masha.
"My father." answered Mike.
Masha is confused to hear Mike's answer, but she chooses to stay put, without asking further about Mike's family.
"My dad's been divorced from my mom since I was in elementary school" Mike said, as if he could read Masha's mind.
"Since then, I've been living with my mother in a faraway place. Until I went to second grade High School, my father took me with him" Mike continued.
"Hmmm... I'm sorry, but I'm curious... If you live here, then how can you go to the same school as Doni?" ask Masha.
"I don't think I'm telling you I live here." Mike replied.
Masha then chuckles, laughing at her stupidity that misunderstands Mike's words.
"I just went with my dad, and left my mom. But, I was living in our town earlier, in the apartment you came with me," Mike continued.
"So, you've been living in the apartment by yourself, ever since you were in second grade High School? That so?" ask Masha.
"Yes. My dad would come to visit once in a while, when he checked the warehouse," Mike replied.
"There used to be someone else working in the warehouse. But, ever since I finished college, and took care of the place, I replaced that guy with Doni" Mike continued.
"You've got a bachelor's degree?" ask Masha wonder.
"Yes. I studied in England, majored in business. In less than two years, I've graduated" Mike replied.
A little envy, arose in Masha's heart.
Actually, it was also Masha's dream.
Studying business, so that Masha can get a good job, can live independently, and really apart from her parents.
Masha took in her heavy breath.
