Three Cross - Time Youths

Three Cross - Time Youths
Arrival in the Foreign World

The clear sky with a touch of orange morning welcomed the arrival of three friends who were stranded in a time that was not his time. Low-flying urban birds, chasing between towering tall buildings, create a fast-moving shadow on the ground.

A sprawling city park with shady trees, a fountain that shines in the sun, and colorful flowers blooming, bears silent witness to their arrival. From a distance, the sound of children laughing cheerfully rang out, and the scent of toast from a tavern across the park started to spread.

Mado woke up first, her wide eyes looking at the surroundings with a sense of awe and confusion. "Jayak, Kunta! Wake up! Look at this place!" he patted his two best friends.

Jayak who woke up with disheveled hair and a still sleepy face said, "This must be a dream. There's no way we're here."

Kunta who was sitting cross-legged looking around him with a serious expression, "Dream or not, we should find out what happened."

Jayak, with his eyes wide open, saw a large statue in the middle of the garden. The statue looks like a small mountain to Jayak. With his distinctive spirit, Jayak said, "I'll climb that mountain to get a clearer look at the surroundings." He rushes towards the statue, but as he tries to climb, the surface of the statue is slippery, making Jayak slip.

Mado laughed at the scene, "It's not a mountain, Jayak! It's just a statue!"

The slightly amused Kunta added, "Maybe the statue can give us a hint. But don't try climbing again, you look ridiculous!"

Meanwhile, some people in the park start picking up their phones, recording the action of Jayak trying to climb the statue. A young mother with her young child commented, "A street show maybe? Very funny!"

The embarrassed Jayak tried to stand up straight, wiping the ground from his leather clothes and walking back to Mado and Kunta. Her reddened face contrasts with the color of her mature tan skin. "Well, I admit it's not a good idea."

Mado, with her trademark fluffy smile, said, "At least you've tried. But look, people seem to enjoy 'your show'."

Jayak sighed, "I just want to quickly find an answer and return to where we should be."

Kunta stared at the vast garden, trying to find a clue. "Let's find out more about this place, maybe someone can give us some information."

The three of them then continue their adventures in an alien world, in hopes of finding the answer to the mystery that surrounds them. Despite the confusing situation, their friendship remains firm, together looking for a way home.

After the statue incident, the three of them walk deeper into the park, trying to make sense of the new environment surrounded by skyscraper glass buildings. The rustling of leaves that fall due to the gentle breeze adds to the foreign atmosphere that is already so thick. Among the crowd of people walking in the park, Mado noticed something odd.

"Why is everyone holding a small object in their hands and staring at it?" mado asked with deep curiosity.

Kunta, who was busy paying attention to other details of the surroundings, replied, "Maybe it's some kind of talisman or magic tool. Look, they're like communicating with him."

Jayak nodded, "It seems so. I also saw a light shining from that thing."

Mado, always known for her curious nature, approached a young man sitting on a park bench while engrossed in playing with the "amulet. "Excuse me, may I see your magic?" mado asked with a face full of curiosity.

The young man was surprised, "Oh, this? It's just a cell phone, not a magical thing" he replied with a laugh.

Mado tries to hold the phone, but with uncertainty, she accidentally presses the camera button and takes a selfie. The outcome? Mado's face was shocked with her eyes widened and her mouth slightly opened. Behind him, Jayak and Kunta looked with similar expressions.

The young man laughed out loud, "You've only seen a cell phone for the first time? This is the best picture I've ever had!"

Mado, with her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, said, "I'm sorry. We're just not familiar with this."

Jayak approached them and said, "We are from a far and different place. Can you tell us more about this?"

The young man, who was starting to get interested in these three strangely dressed men, explained, "This is a cell phone. We can communicate with other people, find information, even take photos with this."

The young man laughed again, "No, not at all. But, if you're in this age without a cell phone, maybe you'll feel like you're without a talisman."

Mado looked at the phone with a puzzled look, "So, how can we use this 'amulet' to find our way home?"

The young man scratched his head, "I'm not sure. But maybe you can find information about the cave where you came. Who knows if there's a lead in there."

Jayak nodded, "Thank you, young man. You've given us a little hope."

The young man smiled, "May you find your way home. And don't forget, your selfies will always be on my phone" he said with a laugh.

The three of them continue their adventure with a new understanding of the world, and Mado, with her curiosity, has a new tool to learn: a mobile phone. While it probably won't bring them home, at least it gives them a little insight into the wonders of the present.

After a short lesson about technology from the young man, hunger began to ambush the three of them. Mado and Jayak were busy watching the passersby, but Kunta was distracted by something else. Her sensitive nose smelled a seductive aroma—s the aroma of baked meat, sweet sauce, and spices.

"Where did this smell come from?" muttered Kunta while taking a deep breath, his eyes looking for the source of the smell.

Without informing his two best friends, Kunta begins to follow the scent, with a definite step towards a large, brightly colored truck with pictures of food by his side. In the surroundings, many people stood while waiting for their turn to order.

The seller in the food truck, a curly-haired woman with a tattoo on her arm, looked at Kunta with a confused expression. "Hello! Want to order what?" ask with spirit.

Kunta, with wide eyes staring at the various foods on display, said, "I want to try this magical food." He pointed to the hotdog on the menu.

The woman laughed, "Hotdog is not a miracle food, but many love it. You want a message?"

Kunta nodded, then took out a necklace with a gemstone pendant from her time, "I want to exchange this for your food. Is this enough?"

The woman was amazed by the beauty of the locket, "Wow, this is very beautiful! But I can't take it as payment. Hotdog costs nothing, you can get it for free."

But Kunta insisted, "This is for you, as a sign of gratitude."

After a slight argument, the woman received the pendant with a big smile, "Alright, one special hotdog for you!"

When the hotdog was ready and presented in Kunta's hands, his expression turned confused. How to eat it? Without thinking, Kunta brought the hotdog into his mouth, as if it were a trumpet.

A laugh rang out, Mado and Jayak who had been looking around for Kunta were now standing behind him, laughing at their misunderstood companions.

"What are you doing, Kunta? That's not a trumpet!" mado Laughter.

Jayak added with a laugh, "You should eat it, not blow it!"

The saleswoman also laughed, "That's the funniest way I've ever seen someone try to eat a hotdog!"

Kunta, with a flushed face, finally understood his mistake. He ate the hotdog in the right way, and his facial expression turned into a satisfied smile. "This is. This is so delicious! You guys should try!"

Mado and Jayak, though still amused, eventually decide to try out that 'magic food' as well. They spend time in the food truck, laughing and telling stories, while the people around them enjoy the sight of three men from the past trying to adapt to the modern world.
