Darkness enveloped the previously luminous modern city. The three, Jayak, Mado, and Kunta, feel fixated in this darkness, but they know that this is a critical time to find the stolen gemstone. Carefully, they began to search for clues in the dark streets.
Amongst the darkness, the Kunta that was walking the very front accidentally hit something big and hard. A giant Christmas tree in the center of the city was violently shaken and collapsed with a rumble. The branches of the Christmas tree fell, and the glass balls that decorated it broke, giving rise to a shocking rustle of broken glass.
Jayak, Mado, and Kunta look at the incident in horror. They tried to ease the panic among the crowd who watched the giant Christmas tree fall.
Jayak said in an anxious tone, "This was our unintentional act. We'll replace it, I promise."
The people around him started laughing and taking videos of the incident with their cell phones. Some of them shared the video on social media. Kunta, who was feeling very embarrassed, tried to explain, "Sorry, we are not from here. We don't know anything about the Christmas tree."
Mado tried to calm the crowd with words of wisdom, "Any darkness will surely be followed by light. Let us all unite and help overcome this situation together."
The atmosphere became calmer, and while the crowd began to help clear the ruins of the Christmas tree, Jayak, Mado, and Kunta continued their search. They know that gemstones are the key to going back to their own time.
They followed the enemy's trail in a darker direction among the forgotten buildings. Amidst the darkness, they continued to communicate with each other.
Kunta asked Mado worriedly, "We have to find the stone immediately. Not only are our futures threatened, but their present."
Mado nodded, "I know, Kunta. But we can't panic. Let's think clearly."
While they were walking, Jayak who was listening to their conversation felt a little estranged. He pondered, "This is a very different world. Their technology has made me feel. What happened to our world?"
Suddenly, they heard a roar. This was no longer the sound of the crowd, but rather the sound of footsteps approaching them. The three hid among the ruins of the building and spoke soft language.
"Some are approaching. I'm going to go find out" said Jayak, and he stepped away toward the voice.
Mado and Kunta waited with tension. Moments later, Jayak returned with a stunned face. "I know who's coming" he said. "That's our enemy."
Mado and Kunta asked anxiously, "How are we going to deal with it?"
Jayak smiled determinedly, "With courage, unity, and a little cunning, we will defeat him."
Jayak, Mado, and Kunta continue to track down their foes hiding amidst the darkness of the blackout-stricken city. Between the ruins and the dark path, Jayak relies on his swordsman instinct to track down the enemy's trail. Every step they took was very careful, because they knew that the stolen gemstones were the key to going back to their own time.
While Jayak focuses on their quest, Mado and Kunta keep their vigilance. Mado said in a soft voice, "We must execute this plan carefully. Let not the enemy know our existence before we are ready."
Kunta agrees, "Right. And we need to find a way to take that gemstone back without too much fighting."
Jayak listened seriously, "I'll try to figure out how many enemies we're facing and what their weaponry is."
While Jayak focuses his attention on tracking down the enemy, he suddenly feels hungry. That hunger bothered him, and he felt the need to eat something before they continued the search. Without a second thought, Jayak saw a faint light in the distance and pointed them in that direction. Mado and Kunta follow Jayak in confusion.
Arriving in a bright place, they were shocked to find an ice cream shop that remained open despite the power outage. An ice cream vendor with a friendly smile greeted them.
"Welcome! We're still open even if the power goes out. You want to try our ice cream?" hail the ice cream seller.
His two friends, Mado and Kunta, were shocked by his order. Mado laughed softly as she said, "Jayak, that was a foreign fruit in our time. How's it feel?"
Jayak shrugged as he replied, "I don't know, but I feel the need to try something new. This is a unique opportunity."
The ice cream seller smiled and gave Jayak a durian flavored ice cream. Jayak, who was still thinking about their mission, seriously tasted the ice cream. His face instantly changed, and he tried to resist his expression of awe and confusion.
Mado and Kunta who saw Jayak's reaction laughed out loud. Mado said, "I guess 'durians' do have a pretty strong taste, don't they?"
Jayak nodded slowly, "Yes, it feels very unique. But this is good. I think I can get used to this."
After Jayak finished his ice cream, they refocused on the search for gemstones. They know they can't stay too long glued to the pleasures of ice cream, though in this deep darkness, something as amusing as Jayak's order provides a bit of cheerfulness amid their tension.
The darkness that engulfed the city continued, and Jayak, Mado, and Kunta continued to walk away from the ice cream parlour that gave them a bit of entertainment. While walking, Mado felt the need to try contacting scientists who offered their help beforehand. He took his phone out of his pocket and tried to turn it on, but of course, the phone screen remained dark due to power outages.
Mado said to Jayak and Kunta, "I have a power bank. I'll try to turn on this phone so we can contact the scientist."
Carefully, Mado connected her phone to the power bank and tried to turn it on. The small screen light of the phone is on dimly. Mado quickly searches for the contact number of the scientist who has provided help to them.
However, when Mado tries to call, something unexpected happens. A voice suddenly emerged from the speaker of the phone, not the voice of the scientist they expected, but rather the voice of a voice mail service operator.
The voice said in a cheerful tone, "Welcome to the Auto Voice Messaging Service! You are already connected to our service machine. To process your request, we ask you to perform a tango dance. Please start dancing now."
Mado, Jayak, and Kunta looked at each other in confusion. Mado tried to explain, "This is not what I meant. I want to talk to scientists who offer help."
However, the voice from the voice mail operator remained firm, "There's nothing I can do until you tango. Please start now."
Mado stared at the phone in frustration. Jayak, who actually has no dancing experience, tries to follow Mado. The two of them tried to dance tango amidst the dark darkness, among the ruins of the building.
Kunta who was initially confused, ended up also joining in this strange dance. They stepped in clumsy steps and sometimes stumbled on the rocks of an unseen street. But they kept trying, despite the hesitation.
The voice of the voice mail operator seemed to be satisfied with their efforts, because after a while, the voice said, "Thank you for your mesmerizing tango dance! We've recorded it. Please proceed with your question or request."
Mado, Jayak, and Kunta stopped dancing and Mado said, "We want to talk to scientists who offer our help. We have a problem to solve."
The voice of the voice mail operator replied, "At this moment, all the operators are busy. Please wait a minute."
They feel anxious, as time goes on and their enemies may get closer. Jayak said anxiously, "We don't have time to wait."
Suddenly, Mado's phone rang. It was a call from a scientist they contacted. Mado quickly answered the call and explained the situation quickly.
The scientist, though somewhat confused by this unusual story, promised to help them as quickly as possible. He provides further clues on how to track down their enemies and retrieve the stolen gemstones.
After closing the call, Mado, Jayak, and Kunta are relieved that they have help from the scientist. They again continue their search in the dark, in the hope that the gemstone will soon return to their hands.
