Three Cross - Time Youths
Old Memories

The clear morning sky with the morning dew still left at the ends of the leaves adds to the panoramic beauty of the metropolis. The birds chirp merrily, signifying a new life in a world alien to three men from the past. The skyscrapers stand grandly with glass that reflects sunlight, giving a futuristic feel. Underneath, the streets were filled with fast-moving and noisy vehicle traffic.

Jayak, with his sharp eyes and serious expression, recognized a familiar looking garden. "This is the place" he said, pointing to a green area surrounded by tall buildings.

Mado stared around with sparkling eyes, recalling the events as they arrived. "Yes, I remember that big tree," said Mado, pointing to an old tree with roots running across the ground.

Kunta, with hesitant steps, approached the tree. His face reflected a mixture of hope and fear. Slowly, he stroked the tree trunk, as if looking for answers or clues. "I felt like there was something strange when we first got here" he murmured.

Suddenly, a loud ringing sound echoed through the air, making the three of them jump in shock. Kunta, who was unknowingly standing next to a red sports car, quickly took a few steps back. The car alarm went off loud, drawing the attention of people walking around the park.

"Damn it! What are you doing?" shouted a fat man who appeared to be the owner of the car. He approached Kunta with a face that was flushed with anger.

Jayak, with a quick but authoritative movement, confronted the man. "I'm sorry, we didn't mean to ruin. These are all misunderstandings" he said, showing open arms as a sign of peace.

The man looked at Jayak from head to toe, seemingly impressed by Jayak's stout posture. "Just make sure you guys are careful around my car" he said in a slightly softer tone before leaving.

Meanwhile, Mado chuckled at Kunta who still looked surprised. "Cunta, it seems like you really have the ability to find trouble everywhere" he said.

Kunta, with a face flushed with embarrassment, defended herself, "I just wanted to find out if there were any clues around the tree. I accidentally touched that car."

The three of them then sat down on a park bench, trying to gather their thoughts. Although the situation became tense for a moment, the natural atmosphere around them—with the leaves rustling in the cool breeze of the morning and the smell of wet soil—gives tranquility.

"I feel like we're getting closer to finding the answer" Jayak said with hope.

Mado nodded, "We just need to be more careful and look after each other. And Kunta... Maybe you should stay away from the cars, huh?"

The three laughed, ending the day with a higher spirit and an increasingly burning hope.

After the incident at the park, the three decide to look for clues in the city library. The library building stands majestically with carved stone walls typical of the classical era, surrounded by green gardens and some ancient sculptures. The sound of water from a small pond could be heard providing shade during a sunny day. Some people can be seen engrossed in reading books under the shade of shady trees.

Kunta, who was continuously amazed by every corner of the modern city, said in a whispering tone, "It is incredible, this place is full of knowledge accumulated over thousands of years."

Jayak nodded, "Rubber, we should make use of this source of information to look for clues."

Mado, who is more proactive, has already started exploring the bookshelves. His resplendent hand picked out one old covered thick book and sat in one of the quiet corners. As he opened the pages, a piece of paper fell from the book. He took it and his eyes were round. "Jayak! The kunta! Look it!" yells.

The two men approached, and Mado showed a sketch of the cave drawn on the paper. "This is very similar to the cave where we first arrived in this time," Mado said in a tone full of astonishment.

Kunta looked at the image with a serious expression, "That's right. But what does that mean? Why is that cave drawing in this book?"

Jayak, with eyes sparkling with ideas, said, "We might be able to scan this image and search for more information on the internet." Jayak, although not fully understood, has learned a little about the technology of today from Dr. Alina's.

They move to computer parts and equipment. Jayak, with excessive self-confidence, tried to use a scanner machine. However, instead of putting the paper on the machine, he instead put his face into the scanner machine and pressed the 'start' button'.

Mado and Kunta stared in surprise as the machine rang and Jayak suddenly jumped in shock. Shortly after, the machine pulled out a paper with a picture of Jayak's face that was funny because it was squeezed.

Mado, who could not help but laugh, added, "You should ask for help instead of scanning yourself!"

Jayak, who at first seemed embarrassed, ended up laughing. "I think the scanner can read my mind" he said with a laugh.

A library attendant approached with a confused face. "Can I help you?" tanyakanya.

They explained the situation and the librarian helped them scan the cave drawings correctly. "You really are from the time before Christ?" asked the library staff in a tone full of astonishment.

Jayak nodded, "Yes, and we're looking for a way to get back."

The librarian smiled kindly, "May you find what you're looking for."

With the cave drawings properly scanned, the three are eager to continue searching for clues on how to get back to their times. Despite the difficulties and confusion of modern technology, their friendship and cohesiveness have always been a booster of spirit.

The cafeteria was in the corner of a park in the center of the city. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable with outdoor chairs surrounded by greenery and several tiled umbrella tables. There was the gurgling sound of water from a small fountain and the breeze that brought the aroma of coffee and toast from the kitchen.

The three of them sat at one of the tables, waiting for Dr. Alina's. Mado was immersed in the book she had just picked up from the library, while Kunta was busy watching the passersby. Jayak, with endless curiosity, tried to understand the menu on the table.

A few minutes later, a long-haired, bespectacled woman came over. "Good day" he said with a friendly smile, "I'm Dr. Alina's."

The three stood up and gave their regards. "Thank you for taking the time to meet with us" Jayak said politely.

Dr. Alina nodded, "I'm very interested in your story. So, what can I do for you?"

They sat back down and Mado quickly explained about the cave drawings they found. Dr. Alina looked seriously listening to him.

Before long, the waiter came to deliver their food and beverage orders. A bottle of sparkling red sauce was placed in the middle of the table.

Jayak, who thought it was a type of drink, quickly picked it up and flushed the contents into his mouth. In less than two seconds, his eyes were rounded and his face reddened. The sauce was very spicy! Jayak stood up quickly, his tongue sticking out and he ran towards another table looking for water.

Kunta and Mado, who were aware of Jayak's mistake, couldn't help but laugh. "It never occurred to me that Jayak would do such a thing" Kunta said with a laugh.

Dr. Alina, although looking surprised, also laughed. "It seems like you guys are really from a different time," he said as he gave a glass of water to Jayak who returned with a gasp of breath.

Jayak, who had regained his composure, said, "I'm sorry. I really didn't know it was hot sauce."

"It's okay" replied Dr. Alina with a smile, "So, regarding the cave you mentioned, I have indeed heard about the mysterious cave that is said to be an inter-age portal. However, it was all still a myth and a legend."

Mado held up a piece of paper containing the cave drawings. "Can you help us find this cave?"

Dr. Alina looked at the picture seriously. "I'll help you guys. But you have to be patient. Research like this takes time."

The three nodded with hope. Although there are some funny and unexpected moments, the meeting with Dr. Alina brings new hope for them to return to their time.
