Message from the Future

A farewell party in the city park is on a merry note. The three men from the past, Jayak, Mado, and Kunta, are surrounded by townspeople who want to talk to them, take pictures together, or simply share laughter and stories.

In the crowd, Dr. Emily, the scientist who helped them open the portal, approached them with her arms outstretched, carrying a small device. The device has a small screen and a few buttons around it.

"Three, I want to give something to you as a memento" says Dr. Emily with a warm smile.

Jayak, who was always on high alert, received the device with great caution. "What's this?"

Dr. Emily explains, "This is a device that can record and play video messages. We're recording a message from the present for the three of you."

Kunta showed real interest. "That sounds interesting. What's in that message?"

Mado smiled happily. "That's very moving."

The young scientist continued, "We hope you will return to the past with fond memories of this adventure. And, who knows, maybe someday, our technology will allow us to time travel and join you in your time."

Kunta laughed lightly. "It's going to be an exciting adventure."

However, when Jayak felt confident that the message was over, the device continued to record. Jayak, subconsciously, started talking to the camera, as if talking to himself.

"Is this still recording?" ask Jayak in confusion.

Dr. Emily tries to pull the device out of Jayak's hands, but it's too late. Everything Jayak said was recorded in the message.

"Is this still recording? Oh, I see myself here. I looked silly with this confused expression!" Jayak said while holding his chin with his hands and glancing at the camera with eyes that were not too confident.

The townspeople present around him laughed out loud. Jayak, who had always looked serious before, kept everyone entertained with his funny behavior.

Mado and Kunta joined in the laughter. "Jayak, you're the new star of comedy shows!" said Mado.

Kunta added, "I think this is the best moment in our history in the present!"

Although Jayak was embarrassed, he ended up smiling and laughing. To them, this moment was proof that even though they were from different ages, their friendship was something precious and would always yield unforgettable memories.

Everyone laughs. The young lady who gave the gift to Kunta replied, "No, she is just a pet dog of the townspeople who likes to greet the guests who come. He's a good friend."

The dog continued to lick Kunta's shoes, as if giving her goodbye and thanking her for her visit. Kunta finally smiled and stroked the dog's head. "Thank you, buddy."

The time for departure is approaching. Dr. Emily reminds them of the final preparations before using the gemstone to go back in time.

Mado, Jayak, and Kunta stand side by side, embracing each other in a final embrace. They looked at the sky that was starting to darken, looking at the light of the stars shining above them.

Jayak just smiled as he held the package of food tightly. "For the return journey," he said firmly.

Mado laughed and added, "At least we won't feel hungry inside the time portal."

Dr. Emily reminded them, "The time to return has come. This portal won't be open for long. We have to get in."

With a careless step due to his food luggage, the three approached the portal. Mado gently hugged Dr. Emily, thank you for all your help and support during their adventure in the present.

Kunta also shook hands with some of the friends they had made while here. "See you, guys. We'll miss you."

When it was Jayak's turn to say goodbye, he felt earnest. He hugged Dr. Emily tightly and said, "You've given us the opportunity to get to know a new world. Thank you." Thank you."

Dr. Emily smiled and replied, "Thank you for this unforgettable adventure. May we meet again in the future."
