Chapter 4 - Sadam Consciousness

"You can't?" ask Haris.

"Yeah. I'll try," replied Erine stammering.

"Don't try. You should be able to! I don't want my master to be suspicious. If he knew, his health could be threatened. You and I could be threatened. Understood," Haris said seriously. Making Erine nod straight.

Along with that, Haris gets a call. He was told Sadam had just regained consciousness. Haris's eyes instantly rounded.

After turning off the phone, Haris told Erine everything. He invited the girl to talk to the medics. Erine will pretend to be sick and lie down in the inpatient room.

Day immediately left Erine when she was done taking care of everything. He went straight to Sadam. The man looks confused. Thankfully, Haris arrived on time. The nurse also had not been able to tell about the condition of Sadam's eyes.

"Master! It's me Haris!" exclaim Haris while holding Sadam's hand.

"Daris... Why can't I see you? Why is there only darkness?" ask Sadam. He did not fully understand what was happening to him.

"Master... You must be strong enough to accept all this..." Haris hugged Sadam.

"W-what do you mean, Haris? What happened to me?..." Sadam needs certainty. He kept demanding Haris to tell.

"Glass flakes hurt your eyeballs, sir. So you're..." Haris told the truth slowly. He also could not finish the sentence until the end.

"You mean I'm blind?!" Sadam concluded.

"Yes, sir.." said Haris.

Sadam's body shook. He's holding his chest. Sadam felt a little shocked at what he received.

"Everything's fine, sir. Hang on for Miss Aylin's sake" Haris said.

Hearing Aylin's name, Sadam felt a little calmer. His mind was moved to think of his wife.

"Ailina? Where is he now? Does he know that I lost my sight?" asked Sadam with anxious feelings. Since one of his senses of sight was already damaged, he felt insecure. Sadam was afraid that Aylin would leave when he found out how he was.

"Yes, Sir. Miss Aylin is very worried about you. He said he felt grateful you could still survive" said Haris, who was full of lies. He looked at his master with a guilty feeling. But how else? That's all Haris can do for Sadam to improve. The man calmed down when he heard his wife's name.

"Where is Aylin now? Let me meet him," Sadam asked, turning his position to sit down. Then shuffle to the edge of the mattress.

At the same time, the doctor came. Haris enlists the help of medics who come to move Sadam to a wheelchair. Next, Haris takes Sadam to the room where Erine is.

'Be prepared! Me and my master are on their way to your room!' Haris sent a message to Erine. Fortunately, the girl read it.

Erine's pupils dilated. Because he's in Drajat's room right now. Without a second thought, Erine went to the room where she had to pretend to be sick.

Erine ran as fast as she could. The run stopped when he saw Haris and Sadam. They accidentally cross paths. Haris immediately glared at Erine.

Erine who felt that it was too late, hurriedly entered the inpatient room. He sat down in the hospital bed and did not forget to cover his body with a blanket.

Erine's breath is expelled from her mouth. He's feeling very nervous. But try hard to calm down.

Soon Haris and Sadam arrived. Makes Erine's nervousness rise again.
