The Wife (The Persecuted Wife)

The Wife (The Persecuted Wife)
The Third Farewell

After being fired, Elno takes care of her divorce papers with Sari. Accept it or not, Elno's decision is already inviolable, even threatening Sari if she dares to slow down the trial process.

Of course the threat of fraud and working together to manipulate DNA tests. Sari, Tedy and Ilmi are scared when that happens. Not only the three of them were dragged, but there was another party that would certainly be dragged. Sari reluctantly agrees to Elno's request. He received a divorce with a triple talaq and without any claim for property.

Elno asked for the help of lawyers to take care of the trial as well as regarding child custody. Finola's identity was finally revealed. What a shame for the Sari and Tedy family.

During the trial process, Elno prepared for her departure to Kalimantan. He will continue his side job as a developer, and the new house he occupied was sold.

"How are you?" ask Elno.

"I'm good" Kara replied.

For the last time Elno met Kara. He wanted to say goodbye while giving all Kara's property that his ex had not taken.

"I want to give you yours" Elno said, offering home letters, car keys and a jewelry box.

"Just keep it in that house" Kara said.

"I'll move to Kalimantan after my divorce is over. You can sell the house if you don't want to. I'm not gonna bother you. This is our last meeting" Elno said.

"You're divorcing, Sari?"

"I can't live with it" replied Elno.

"From the beginning you chose it and now you're throwing it away" Kara said.

Elno looked at Kara. "Because of these words, I did not divorce Sari earlier. First a feeling of guilt because I stained her. Second, there is no reason. Now I know all the secrets and have a reason to throw them away. I don't care what people think of me anymore. It didn't matter at first I chose him and divorced my first wife. The truth is I never intended to divorce my first wife. At that moment I was in an emotional state and I regretted it."

Kara was stunned to hear that. The atmosphere was silent for a moment. Then Kara grabbed the brown envelope and the jewelry lying on the table.

"It's your right to sell it" Elno said.

Kara moved from her seat. "I think our business is done. I'll go in first then."

Kara was about to step up, but Elno's voice kept her standing in place. Elno stood up. Stare at Kara with the love that is still in her.

"May your life be happy. Call me if you get a new life partner" Elno said.

Kara was shocked to hear it. It was unexpected that Elno could say that. "You too. Good luck and get a new companion."

Elno smiling. "I'll be alone."

"I only pray for you. The rest is up to you" Kara said. "I have to go back."

Elno nodded. "Yes, come back."

Kara walks in and Elno keeps looking at her until the ex-wife gets in the elevator. Elno sighed, then she stepped out of the apartment lobby.

Kara is still sad. Elno will move and no longer live in Jakarta. That means they won't meet again. Kara wiped away the tears that had dripped down her cheeks.

"He really wants to go. He didn't even call me. Didn't stop me, and instead smiled. Do you really want to forget me, Elno? Yes, just go far away and find a new wife" Kara muttered as she wiped her tears.

The first parting when they were husband and wife. The second parting when they divorced, and the third parting when both of them had become other people.
