Second Wife

Kara looked at the figure of the woman she recognized as a schoolmate. The woman who is currently holding a cute baby.

"What is this, El?" ask Kara.

"I'll explain" said Elno.

"I think I went in the wrong house. I better just go."

Kara grabbed her two suitcases and was about to leave again, but Elno grabbed her arm, then carried Kara in her arms.

"Sorry, Kara. This is the situation" said Elno.

Kara pushes Elno's body. "What do you mean?"

Kara screamed and made the baby in Sari's arms startled and cried. Sari immediately calmed her down, then called the babysitter from the baby. Kara sees the baby being brought into the room.

"What is this, El?" ask Kara.

"Let my wife and baby be my son" replied Elno.

Kara turns her head, she closes her mouth. His heart felt pierced by thousands of hot children. Sari and Elno are a couple. They also have a baby from the wedding.

Kara shakes. "Cannot be. Don't lie to me."

Elno touched Kara's arm, but was immediately pushed aside. Kara took a few steps back until her back hit the wall. Sontak Elno approached, but Kara prevented him by raising her hand.

"Is that really not how you are, El? Why give me such a painful surprise?" Kara turned her eyes to Sari. "You're my friend, Sar. You also know Elno is my husband."

"It's not like that, Kara. It's out of our control" Sari said. "Elno must take responsibility for his actions."

"Whatchu mean? Elno desecrated you so? Then, are you pregnant?" kara said.

"We accidentally slept together" Sari said.

"Then, you hold Elno accountable? Is your mind so stale? Elno already has a wife. Just sleeping one night, you ruined my happiness!"

"My mind is stale! I don't accept my chastity being taken for granted. I was pregnant, too" said Sari.

"I remember you wanted to be a doctor. Is your mind not used? Would you rather be a second wife than throw away the fetus you're carrying?"

"Kara!" snapped Elno. "Preasure your mouth. What do you think Sari is? I fucked her and I deserve the responsibility."

"So just because of this. Just because your passion is not fulfilled, then you fuck another woman. For ten years, El. I work hard in the land of people to raise our standard of living. I came back to live happily with you, but what's the truth?" said Kara in a high tone.

"I don't want to live rich, Kara. I want you. Have you ever thought about my feelings? I asked you to come home a few times. You never even heard of me!" elno said no less harshly.

"Then, who made you like this?" ask Kara. "This is your reply, El?"

"I told you, it's not what you think it is" Sari said.

"Shut up!" kara Bentak.

"Lock the room, Sari," Elno ordered.

Kara wiped away the tears that were shed. He moved out of his place, but Elno again got in the way. Kara tried to take it off. However, Elno's grip was very strong.

"I explained everything, Kara. Listen and sit down" said Elno, herding Kara in the chair.

"Everything else to explain. You're married and you have a kid that's obvious, right?"

"When I heard you were going to continue with the employment contract again, I was angry. I used to hang out with Tedy and Ilmi at their house. That night, Tedy invited Sari and our female friends to campus. We had a drink and tomorrow morning, I was in bed with Sari. I don't want to defend myself, but that's the truth, Kara. I'm not aware of what's going on. Everyone saw us sleeping together" Elno said.

"Then he asked you to marry him?"

"This isn't a country out there, Kara. Sari is not that kind of woman. I have to take responsibility for what I do. Sari was pregnant and I married her" Elno said.

"You should rarely contact me. You have a replacement."

"Kara, what am I supposed to do? If you told me to divorce Sari, what about my son?" ask Elno.

"I don't know" Kara replied. "What's your son's name?"

"She's female. She was eleven months old and I gave her a name like our daughter used to be. Finola."

Kara nodded. "Good to you."

"Sorry, Kara. It's out of my control. I accept your every decision. I don't want to force."

Kara smiled bitterly. What does Elno really mean? Not wanting to force, would her husband breed if Kara filed for divorce? When she found out that Elno was double, Kara had not even thought about it.

"You love Sari?" ask Kara.

"I don't know" replied Elno. "But you know how I feel, Kara. I love you."

"Today that love has been betrayed, El."

Kara couldn't hold back her tears. The husband she loved was double. He was confused, not knowing what to do. Kara really wants to repeat time. He wants to go back in time to not know Elno.

Kara looked at Elno's fingers. One ring was on her husband's ring finger. The ring imprinted on Sari's name because during the marriage with her there was no such sweet object. Kara even sold her wedding ring to survive at the time.

"This ring is not my wedding ring with Sari" said Elno, who knew Kara's gaze fell on her left hand. Elno took off the ring. "I purposely made it special. The ring engraved with your name and Sari."

"Yes, she's your wife too" said Kara, then got up from her seat.

"Kara, this is your house. Where are you going?"

"I want to be alone, El. My dream house feels crowded. I need air" Kara said.

"Kara, I'm sorry."

"No need, El. I'm sorry I couldn't get everything back" Kara said.
