The Way Back Home's
Managers

Why is Farrell so sure everything's gonna be okay? Because Christo didn't actually commit a crime? Because the Eden family has a name in the wizarding world? Because now Vincent recognizes him as a friend? No. gabe. Farrell declares it because he believes his family is blessed. He doesn't need any more evidence.

It's been three months since Farrell's holiday and his siblings turned disastrous. Ruberu helped with the research process. Denise and her two men were found guilty. Barren Trow confesses his crimes with Olivia. They will be in prison for a very long time. Ruberu promised leniency if they cooperated with dismantling the crime syndicate. There seems to be more to be revealed by Sinwillow police. Emily's not under arrest, fortunately. But, he resigned as an employee of Eden’s Lodge. He still couldn't forgive himself after attacking Farrell.

Christo is free from all charges. Alan Eden was found not guilty. He was released from prison with a statement from the police to clear his name. His wife, Natasha, is recovering as usual. Eden’s Lodge did not change its name, only changed its face. Alan asked the construction workers to renovate the part Denise had damaged.

Currently they were in the dining room of the lower world inn for a small celebration. Eden’s Lodge employee increased. At least, they were already over twenty at the moment. Most of the staff including Christo, William, Remy, and the birds were there. The rest should be in charge of running the hotel. Unlike Albert, Alan does not like that there are outposts left behind.

In addition to the servants, they also invited Miss Bliss and Vincent. Initially, Farrell invited Ruberu anyway. However, it seemed that Ruberu was much more interested in checking the looting case than joining them.

“Today I still feel like this is all a dream. I can get out of jail, rejoin my family, rebuild the inn. Were it not for my son, Farrell Eden, I believe Eden’s Lodge would not exist to this day. I'm so proud of you, Farrell.” Alan Eden spoke in the middle of the room. Immediately, applause filled the room.

Guests sit in groups at a small table. In another corner of the room, there are various dishes including Volcano Pie. The warm weather and stunning mountain views feel perfect for the good news.

Alan Eden continued. “I am here taking over the position as manager of Eden’s Lodge. There will be some changes as well as a slight update of the system. To run it, I will not be alone. Christo will help me. He will be the deputy manager.” Applause is back. “Christo, I think you can say a few things here.”

Madame Bliss who sat beside Farrell whispered, “Will the position of manager fall on you after you finish getting the master's degree?”

“It depends dad.”

“What do you think, which is more convenient for you, the magic world or the ordinary world? Which one makes you say home?”

“I don't think home is just about places. There are times when the house is about who is not where.”

“Oh, that's so sweet, Farrell! By the way, I'm really honored to join your party this afternoon. It's even better because your father wants to use our products. Not only did the dream come true, but my dream came true. Thank you.”

“No. Thank you, madam Bliss.” Farrell then turned to the other person on the side of the table. Vincent sat across. He looks handsome in a white blazer and a blue shirt. Matches the end of his hair that is still in bright blue. “Thank you too, Vincent.”

Vincent throws a smile. “I think I'm the same as Miss Bliss. I'm also happy because now we get a package stay at a special price. Thank you, Farrell.”

Farrell circulated his gaze to the other side of the room. She could see Carla, the mother's former nurse there. Mom took him to work at Eden’s Lodge. He would more often serve in the upper inn with William. Dad's planning to revive their ski runs. William can be a guide and Carla can help him as a health team.

At the next table, Milo and Libby scramble the last piece of chocolate maple bar. I had to stop them from making a scene. Snack this time is free of any herb as well as coconut.

After saying a few things, Christo returned to his position, next to Farrell. “Am I speaking correctly? You know I'm groggy half dead,” whispered while squeezing napkins on the table.

Vincent grunts amusedly.

Madame Bliss brought her face closer. “Your words were very good. You speak smoothly and systematically. What scares you? You speak amazingly even better than Albert Eden.”

“So, the speech in front of Alan makes you groggy?”

“Also his son.” Christo glanced at Farrell. “And his whole family.”

Farrell patted Christo on the shoulder.

Lunch has begun. All guests are free to choose their meals. Bailey and Barney fly into the cage, they'll have lunch there. Gizmo would rather be here with her employer, Christo. Not long after they were still eating, Gizmo stared at the dining room door. As Christo tried to guess the meaning, Farrell had already risen first. Both of them visited guests in the inn lobby.

“You should have lunch with us.” Farrell reached out to Ruberu.

The Sinwillow policeman only smiled faintly. Behind him were two well-built men wearing long-sleeved grey suits. These two men spread their eyes around them. Lobby Eden’s Lodge looks like a pique. Not only because it is spacious and tall, but also some additional landscape paintings make it feel more beautiful.

“As per the promise of when the day, I will place the officer here,” Ruberu said. “They will keep an eye on everyone who crosses the door to the upper world. They will take turns taking care. Details will be discussed security division with manager. Alan Eden back in his chair, ‘kan?”

“Ya, thanks to you. Thank you.”

“Maybe I should be the one to thank you. The arrest of Barren Trow made the magic board aware there were many buried cases within their organization.” Ruberu looked serious but was also pleased with the discovery. “Today I just came to show Eden’s Lodge to these two officers all handing over the letters. Formality.” Ruberu held out a brown paper map to Christo.

Christo nodded stiffly. Still not sure if he can carry out his duties as a deputy manager well. Staying long in the world of magic does not make it then understand the ins and outs of everything.

“All right, see you again.” Ruberu turned around with her two officers.

“Wait!” sahut Farrell's. “I still owe you my life.”

“I didn't save you, Farrell. I'm not a doctor.” Ruberu spoke without turning around.

Farrell had no intention of responding to Ruberu's denials. “If there's anything I can do to help you, just say.”

This time Ruberu stopped. He flinched for a few seconds in his place. Only then did he turn to look at Farrell with a smile. “Just let me know if any fugitives escaped through here!”

“Of course. Oh, yep!  How about once in a while you take your colleagues on a free vacation here?”

“I'll think.”
