The Way Back Home's

The Way Back Home's
Renewed

If heaven is always depicted with clouds and white, the appearance is somewhat different for Farrell. Not white, but brown. In front of her, she saw her mother's face was smiling gently at her. The slender fingers of the mother stroked her son's hair repeatedly. That face looked peaceful as well as radiating happiness. Farrell hasn't seen his mother like that in a long time. Mom's smile was much more beautiful than she could remember.

“Mother? Is this really mom?” Farrell felt his voice sound so soft.

“Yes, this is mom, Farrell.” Mom is still smiling. His gaze was full of warmth and perhaps a bit of haru. “All done.”

Farrell returned mother's smile. “I feel very tired,” whispered.

“It's okay. It's time for rest.”

Farrell's eyes are wet now. “I'm sorry.”

“Why are you sorry?”

“I made the inn fall to the wrong person.”

“Sst... It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself.”

“I also can't save you..”.

I was about to speak, but there was another voice beside the bed.

“Yes, technically it was Madame Bliss who saved us.”

Farrell turned on the side opposite the mother. He saw Christo was putting the tray containing the teapot and equipment on the table. Farrell squinted, watching the clerk closely. Christo didn't look sick. He looked perfectly healthy with a hint of hubris just like when he first met in the lower inn dining room. “Christo?”

“You remember Miss Bliss once said that until we get bitten by Hendrick's spider, we should come to him? It turned out that Madame Bliss had a collection of medicinal herbs almost as much as her tea collection. I don't know what to say.” Christo shook his head. “I have to admit I'm very grateful for the unique collection. And for other things too. At least it all ended well. Yes, maybe not all.”

Farrell frowning. His eyes began to look around more closely. He was clearly not in heaven but rather an inn room. The interior is similar to the interior of the room Eden’s Lodge at the top. The shades of wood make the room so comfortable. The furniture is also made of wood. A large window stretched out on one wall. From there, the view showed warm sunlight shining down on the mountain cliffs.

“Wait a minute,” sahut Christo. “You don't think you're dead, do you, Farrell?”

She did not smile, but this time she laughed a little. He turned back and called out. “Milo, Libby, come here. Your brother is awake.”

Farrell doesn't know what to react to.

Libby ran straight to my mom's side. “Sister Farrell!”

Milo. “Hei! You're making me anxious half to death. At that time, you looked pale like a corpse. Your blood was so much at that time. At first I thought you were dead.”

“I... I think I'm dead too.” Farrell admitted his mistake.

The talk of Milo immediately provoked a sharp glare from the mother. “Can we jump over the detail part of his wound?”

Milo added, “Alright. I don't really understand the rest. The point is Ruberu called the doctor, they took care of you, then you woke up.”

Hearing Ruberu being called, Farrell asked. “Where is Ruberu?”

“You want to hear the continuation of the story?”

“All happy ending!”

“What do you mean?”

Libby immediately replied. “Dad will be home with us!”

Farrell frowned at Milo. “What is this serious?”

“Of course!” Milo sat on the bed where his brother lay.

This move prompted Farrell to try to sit down anyway. Mother touched the shoulder of her eldest son while shaking her head.

“Begini,” says Milo starts the story. “You remember the voice of Aunt Melanie's screams? Ruberu's going there with William. They stopped Denise from killing her uncle and aunt. If you ask where they are now, the answer is in prison. Ruberu held them all for inspection. Starting from Olivia, Emily, Dennis, Jim, Joe, even uncles and aunts. He also said he would start a quest in the upper world for a man named Barren Trow. I think they've caught him now.”

“Si bald man? Why are you sure?”

“You should see Ruberu action. He's amazing. The magic is strong too fast. Everything just floated away. Anyway incredible! He also said that he had colleagues in the normal world who were ready to help. Barren Trow won't run away! I wonder if all the magic world police are like that.”

Christo shakes. “Ngak. I had a conversation with Ruberu. It turns out that he was from the central police force in the magic capital, Sinwillow. Sinwillow police capabilities are at the top. Not just anyone can be a cop there. We're really lucky to get help from someone as great as Ruberu.”

“Oh, also Vincent!” added Milo. “Vincent gives mother a magical tea that makes her recover in a matter of hours. The potion is amazing too! He said he came from a family of potion makers. I didn't expect you to have a friend like him.”

Farrell smiled. “I don't think we're lucky. We are blessed.”

Mom clasped Farrell's hand. “You've grown far more than I expected. I didn't think you could go that far for our family. Milo told me everything. I'm really proud of you, Farrell. You really live up to the meaning of your name.”

“Brave men?”

Mother nodded. “Mother also hopes you can recover soon. You certainly want to come with us to pick up dad from prison. I should be out by next week. Ruberu said it will tell us soon if the process is complete.”

“I can help check the continuation of the process, bu Natasha,” said Christo lirih. “I thought, I would often go back and forth to the police station.”

Farrell captures the anxiety of both Christo's speech and gestures. Especially when Libby asks, “What Ruberu will also hold you back?”

Christo nodded again. “She just wanted me to give her a caption on Olivia and Emily. I should have apologized. I'm a really lousy employee!” Christo sighed while scratching his head. “I should have been able to dismantle their crimes faster. If only I were smarter, I could have helped Mr. Alan out faster as well.”

“You've been a great help to our family, Christo. Thank you for staying faithful at Eden’s Lodge. When another employee is forced out, you choose to stay here. If there wasn't you, I'm sure the end of this story would be different.” Mother raised Christo's heart.

Farrell agreed with his mother. “Without you, I think I've run away leaving all. I owe you. I won't let Ruberu hold you back.”

Farrell's statement made Christo snort amusedly. “Oh, did I hear that arrogant remark just now?”

“True!” Milo jumped out of bed. Puffing his chest and hands around his waist, he made a knotty smile. “Because yesterday's transaction was cancelled, Eden’s Lodge remains under the ownership of Alan Eden. People say, father is famous in the wizarding world. Surely father can do something with his influence so that you are free from accusations.”

“I am grateful for the truth now revealed. I just want to be treated according to what I do. If indeed I am wrong and worthy of punishment.” Christo let this sentence hang. “The bottom line is, I won't run away. Ruberu can see me whenever she wants.”

“Everything will be fine.” Farrell threw his gaze out the window. “Trust.”
