The Way Back Home's
Caught

Milo blinked his eyes. He was trying to understand where they were. He was in a large room filled with tables and chairs. The large, uncircumcised window showed an amazing view. The sun just came up. A golden radiance shone on the clouds with a dazzling color. Unfortunately, they do not have time to enjoy all the beauty. Milo knew he had to run to the other side of the inn.

“Quick, Farrell!” her door.

Farrell just came out of the secret passage. Milo ran again. They ran together in a building that shook without direction. Milo did not know which direction to the Southern inn, but he knew he had run in the right direction as the shock grew fading. Shortly after, he found the same passageway they had passed through. This is the passageway from the intersection between the North and South sides.

Milo reached the crossroad first. When she turned around, she could see the ruins chasing after her brother. “Quick, Farrell! Fast, fast!”

THE SKREEEE!

The sound of an eagle echoing in front. A pair of predatory birds approached them. Milo recognizes Bailey and Barney. The two flew around for a while before turning towards their arrival. No time to wonder, Milo chose to follow the eagle.

They ran again until they actually arrived at a safe place. Not lobby. Farrell did not recognize this side of the inn. A long, desolate passageway lay before him. The windows lined up neatly on one side. On the other hand, there are several pairs of chairs flanking the table. There are also large pots containing ornamental plants. He doesn't care where they are. Her body is tired, not playing. He put Christo on the floor. The clerk sat leaning against the wall, unmoved, his chest rising up and down quickly. Bailey and Barney flew up, perched on one of the roof's wooden bars.

William ran on his tiptoes from the other end of the hallway. “I thought you were dead! Thank goodness!” He looked down at Christo. “We have to find an antidote for Christo and your mother. They won't last much longer.”

“Actually we have already got. But, Christo said this is only a one-man dose,” whispered Farrell.

Milo put mom in one of those chairs right there. “We may be able to split the antidote,” Milo said. “I mean, we can give them each half a dose. Later we just look for the next bidder.”

“I'm not sure they'll last that long.” William glanced at Christo, but whispered to Farrell. “Christo must have told you to give your mother the antidote.”

Farrell didn't want to answer that question. Then, he placed his index finger on his lips. “You heard that? There was a scream. Aunt Melanie's voice! Could Denise—”

“Denise intends to finish off your uncle and aunt once the transaction is complete. I think Denise just needs to sign Mr. Albert,” William said. “Maybe now the transaction is done.”

Farrell doesn't know if he's ready for all this bad news.

“Absolutely. You're next!”

Farrell couldn't believe who had emerged from the end of the hall where he had come. A woman wearing the uniform of an Eden’s Lodge employee walked on them. There was a burning red ball complete with tongues of fire hovering above his right hand. This is the first time Farrell has seen a real fireball. In one look, she also knew that it wasn't Emily but Olivia.

“Wait!” sahut William's. “You also want to kill me, Emily?”

“He's not Emily, he's Olivia.”

“What? But, Olivia is dead.”

“Olivia faked her death. She and Emily often change places. They work together to smuggle loot using the portal Eden’s Lodge. They even have an accomplice in the normal world. Am I right?”

“Family business?”

“Absolutely. My father had to pretend to be dead too to put your father in jail.” Olivia shook her head while clucking.

Farrell felt his hands clenched. “Barren Trow! He's your father?”

“That's his name now. She lives in the world above.” Olivia stepped forward. William and Milo retreated slowly. While Farrell was unmoved, Olivia said, “I still remember him using a strange-smelling magic liquid to lure your father in. Alan, your father, began to suspect our activity at that time. You should be thankful we didn't finish him.”

“You... You are real villains!”

Olivia laughed again. “You know something even funnier? Christo never thought we would put his idol in jail. With just one private portal, he chose to keep his mouth shut. He believed when I said I had to keep my identity a secret because of the magic board's demands. Very plain.”

“You're outrageous! You are using Christo!”

“Who uses whom? Christo used the portal to meet your father.” Olivia stared at Farrell. He really meant it this time. “I do anything for my family. Isn't it the same as you? You do a lot for your family by taking all the risks. In fact, you continue to do so even if you know you have no blood relationship with them. Farrell, I'm sure you'd do the same thing if it was in my position—”

“Ngak!” farrell hatch. “I'm here to stop my uncle. I do not support his evil deeds! I just want to open his eyes.”

“True. I must admit I salute you. You are so different from Albert. Your uncle loves money more than his family. Denise too. He will be the perfect working partner for us.”

“Quickly or later, your crimes will be revealed.”

“Maybe. Therefore, I must stop him.” Olivia smile. “Actually, I'm sorry to have rejected father's suggestion to kill you. I should have killed you guys in the first place. Even if this inn doesn't belong to you anymore, you're still dangerous to us. I think I underestimated you too much, Farrell. I didn't think you'd know that far. Awesome and dangerous. Excuse me. You will be the first victim!”

“Shielded!” exclaim Farrell.

The commandment is easier said than done. There were not many things that could be used to take shelter there. Indeed there are several pairs of chairs and tables as well as ornamental plant pots. What does that mean compared to Olivia's fireball magic?

Farrell's opposite, William shouted. “Remy! Now!” Out of nowhere, a row of woks darted. The large woks lined up neatly, making them the perfect shield for Olivia's fireballs. The fireball exploded when it hit the kitchen. Rows of this skillet were charred holes and then fell scattered to the ground.

“Composed!” William shouted again.

Next, a bunch of knives flew. From kitchen knives to bread knives. They're headed straight for Olivia. Feeling threatened, the girl was forced to flee. A row of knives stuck into the wall he was passing through.

As the knife ran out, Olivia hurriedly turned around. He was ready to attack again. However, having not had the chance to do anything, Olivia could feel her hand being pulled behind her back. His body was pushed to the ground. He can't do anything either. Turning around to see who the culprit was also unable to.

“Olivia Farmel, you're under arrest for fraud and theft. I suggest you cooperate with us. I bet your list of crimes is more than that!”
