The Terror of the Rapist

The Terror of the Rapist
Terrorized by the Rapist

Melani spends a lot of her time in bed. He was reluctant to get out of the room, although his condition gradually began to improve after taking the medicine his mother bought. As Melani lay ill, it was Miss Marni who served her daughter. He made her warm tea and fed her chicken porridge. Melani is actually not tasteful to eat, but her mother persuades her to swallow her food. She doesn't want Melani to get sick if she doesn't eat. Finally Melani wanted to eat too, even though the food she swallowed tasted bitter.

That afternoon, as Melani was lying in bed reading a magazine, suddenly the phone lying next to her rang. Melani thinks she called Diah. He immediately picked it up.

“Halo..?”

“Halo, sweet. How's it going? Last night was good, right?”

The deg! Melani's heart felt like it was pounded by a hammer with its hardness. The voice was as he was known. Male voice with deep and heavy intonation. The man who last night ruined his life!

“Backed! *******! You devil!” sumpat Melani screeching sharply.

He then turned off his HP so badly. His breath sounded hunting like a genset engine pumped. His heart seemed like it was about to explode because it held back anger, anger, hatred, and heartache. He then vented his anger by hitting a pillow. Suddenly Melani realized, where did the man******* it knew his phone number from? Maybe he's someone I've known? She…? Melani did not continue her conjecture. He immediately checked the call list on his phone. He wanted to know the number of the person who called him earlier. But baby, it turns out that number is confidential!

Melani was even more upset. He slammed his phone back in the bed. Molar clenching. Suddenly the ringtone tone of his phone rang again. Melani was shocked. His heart is beating. With trembling hands he grabbed the phone that was still sounding. Melani stared at the phone screen, not the name of the caller. What appears is an undisclosed number. Melani hesitated to answer. But finally, he pressed the button too; answer. He then stuck it to his ear.

“Halo, Darling…? Why are you angry? Are you not satisfied with the one we enjoyed last night?” The rapist's voice again sounded piercing Melani's eardrum.

“Why did you do that to me? What wrong? You ruined my life! You have.. oh, you are cruel! Biadab!” Melani was unable to continue her sentence because suddenly her chest became tight. Her tears that then flowed down her cheeks.

“You don't need to know what's wrong with you. What is certain is my desire to make love to you. Oh yeah, I just wanted to warn you never to tell anyone about last night, let alone the police. I don't hesitate to do more cruel. I will always follow and watch over you. Remember that!” hissing threatened.

“Fuck! You are the devil! I hate you!” litching Melani while pressing the end button. He no longer wanted to talk to anyone who had ruined his honor. Melani then took off her HP.

He cried while bending his knees. Indeed, his heart was no longer strong to withstand the onslaught that shook his chest. The call from the rapist is like the terror that haunts his life. Melani could not understand, where did the rapist know his phone number? Is he really the person he's ever known? Because no one knows his HP number except his close friends and relatives. But they can't do him any harm. Melani is beset with big question marks about where the rapist got his HP number. His mind also continued to guess the possibility of who the identity of the rapist!

Judging from her voice, Melani felt she had known him. But his heart still hesitated. The name of the sound can be made up and disguised. But Melani can still recognize her tall slender figure even in the dark. That person was very similar to Frans, Rico, or Toni. All three are equally slim high-bodied. Melani tends to suspect the three because only they have been paying attention to her. Even Toni once blatantly expressed love but then rejected it.

Or it could be the possibility of an outsider or a messenger! There may be people who deliberately want to drop it and ruin its good name. He then took the vile path by telling others to destroy Melani's life. If this is the case, then Melani suspects two colleagues who have been hostile to her, namely Ida and Tuti. The two women often showed an unsympathetic attitude towards him. But Melani tried to dismiss all these suspicions. If there is no definitive proof of the truth, he cannot simply drop the charges!

Melani does not want to get stuck in a petty mind that is based only on suspicion and assumptions. Melani does not want to be influenced by the pseudo-shadows that play in her mind. If this mind continues to be nurtured and until sticking out it will actually make his life so unsettled. He will continue to be overshadowed by suspicion in those around him. His eyes will continue to watch the movements of those around him. This can affect their concentration at work. Melani does not want her life to be disturbed. He then tried to suppress the wild feeling that overshadowed his heart!

“Melani!” Suddenly his mother's voice outside broke her daydream.

“Yes, Mom. What's up?” reply Melani while hastily wiping away the tears that were still imprinting on the cheeks.

Heh? What's he gonna do here? Inner Melani.

“Tell him here, Mom!” pinta Melani without getting out of bed.

Shortly after, the door opened from the outside. Miss Marni and Diah showed up at the door. Diah went straight to the place where Melani was lying, while Miss Marni went to the back. He gave Melani a chance to talk alone with her best friend. Diah looked at Melani with concerned eyes.

“Yes, geez, Mel. What happened to you. Why is your face so pale? What are you sick with?” cerocos Diah as usual like granny.

“It doesn't hurt anything, Di. Just an ordinary wind,” Melani replied kalem.

“But you're like someone who just came out of the operating room. Come on, dong, Mel. Tell me what really happened?”

Melani lowered her face while biting her lips, enduring the pain that suddenly pierced her heart. Like Miss Marni, Diah seems to be able to read something has happened to her. But Melani still insisted will not open the problem that is pressing him. He will not tell his disgrace. Waving Melani's hand then brushed off Diah's words.

“Do not like the police dong, Di. I told you I was just in pain. Nothing to tell!” firmly Melani.

“Yes, I'm so worried, Mel. You see, when I called you, your phone wasn't active. I thought that your illness got worse and was taken to the hospital. Hence, as soon as the lunch break I hurried here wanting to know your situation,” said Diah telling her the reason for coming here.

“Thank you for your concern, Di. I had deliberately turned off my phone because I didn't want to be disturbed. I just want to rest,” replied Melani reasoned. “Oh yes, by the way the file in my desk drawer has been submitted to Mr Tejo?” melani then switched the conversation.

“Already! All your duties have been handled. Everything's in order!”

“Still, In. You are a good friend!”

“Sama-sama, Mel. Hope you get well soon and tomorrow you can go to work again!”

“I guess tomorrow I can't get into the office, Di..”

“Why? Is the pain you feel so heavy? Your mother said you only took medicine purchased at the stall. That means you haven't checked with a doctor. Why are you lying to me, Mel? What exactly happened? If the pain you feel is so severe, why not check with a doctor? Don't underestimate the pain, Mel. Remember, if up to three days you do not enter work without clear information, especially the description of pain from the doctor, then you can get SP which ends you can be PHK!” diah didn't mean to scare.

Melani let out a long sigh while throwing her gaze away. In the heart there was a great rumble that shook the anxiety. He could not bear the burden of this suffering alone. He wants to share with others. During this time Diah was the closest person who used to be a place to confide in as well as a person who was very trusted. It was to the Deah that Melani used to share her joys and sorrows. They also help each other in many ways. But for this one problem Melani felt heavy to express it. He felt ashamed and afraid that his disgrace would leak everywhere.
