It was already near noon, but Karina was still unconscious. Her parents arrived a few hours ago. Her mother looks so sad to see Karina who has not been conscious.

"Today" called out to her by gently shaking Karina's shoulder

"Don't go, Karin is afraid" Karina told Jonathan, who immediately shook his head and briefly kissed her forehead

"No, I'm here. Calm down" replied Jonathan, Karina again smiled thinly with a sigh that still felt heavy.

Not long after, the doctor and a nurse entered the room. Jonathan immediately shifts away to let the doctor check on Karina.

Not for long, just a few minutes. And Jonathan saw the middle-aged doctor remove the breathing apparatus from Karina and replace it with a small tube inserted into Karina's nose.

"How's the doctor doing?" ask Jonathan directly

"It's better, sir. Miss Karina just needs a few more days' rest here. There's nothing to worry about anymore. His breathing had also started to stabilize" the doctor replied, making Jonathan nod immediately and able to breathe with relief

"I'm sorry sir, if there's anything you can call me" the doctor said

"Thank you" Jonathan replied briefly.

After the doctor came out Jonathan came back closer to Karina, he sat in the chair facing Karina. His hand again gently grasped Karina's hand which was still paled, but not like when Jonathan first brought her to the hospital.

"I'm sorry, because of my carelessness you're like this" Jonathan said with a look of guilt

Karina smiled and shook her head slowly looking at that handsome face

"It was an accident, not papa sis. Karina is fine too" replied Karina

"But you have to be like this. I'm really scared if anything happens to you. You slept for so long" Jonathan said, peeping at Karina's back for so long

"Sunday will not leave her brother before Karin feels like the wife of Jonathan Alexander" Karina said with a faint smile

Jonathan immediately smiled and rubbed the pale face. Her heart was so weak that seeing her usual cheerful Karina become helpless like this.

"A little while, baby. In a moment" replied Jonathan

Karina nodded and smiled. Jonathan's hand was immediately released from Karin's face when both their parents and Amelia entered the room.

Jonathan immediately retreated back and moved towards the sofa letting Karina's mother and father see the state of his son.

Jonathan sat on the couch with Maxwell.

"Did you fire that guy?" ask Jonathan directly

"This can't be allowed. I'll be there to find out for myself" Jonathan said

"Don't make your prestige fall just because of this incident Jo" Maxwel said

"Everyone should know that I won't stay silent if anyone makes a mistake, especially if done intentionally" Jonathan said. He really still doesn't accept all of this.

Jonathan immediately got up from his seat and walked closer towards Karina. Maxwel simply took his breath in deeply and shook his head slowly. Anyone would not be able to hinder Jonathan if he was already angry, let alone this concerned the safety of the person who was most precious to him.
