The Story of Demon Hunter

The Story of Demon Hunter
A Liar

On a blind morning the fog still covered the village and the surrounding forest.

Arthur's figure runs on a path outside the village that leads back to the previous town. He walked so calmly with light steps leaving the village. But before he got any further away, there was a voice stopping him.

“Are you going without saying goodbye?”

Hearing the question, Arthur's steps stopped. He then looked back, looking at Murasaki's figure with a friendly smile on his face.

“There's no reason for me to stay.” Arthur said softly.

“But that doesn't mean you have to leave without saying a word, does it?”

“Reyna has kept her promise, Midorima has become more mature and dispelled her selfishness, the village chief confessing his sin. Everything has gone well, so it's time to go.”

“We all haven't even had time to thank you.”

“If you want to thank me, you better say it to Reyna. Besides, compared to me, that girl fought more. Also, I came here at his request and I was paid for it, so .. You don't have to thank me.

If the girl wakes up, tell her that Arthur left first. The task is completed and the payment is given. That's it, goodbye.”

After saying that, Arthur walked back without looking back.

“Thank you very much, Young Master Arthur!”

Murasaki immediately said sincerely while bowing. As he straightened his back again, he saw Arthur waving lightly without looking back. His figure slowly disappeared in the mist.

Recalling the figure that always spoke casually and claimed to be a full-time chef, but so powerful that it could cut the protective figure of the village that had existed for so many years into two, Murasaki smiled gently.

‘Although he is a liar .. but he is a good liar.’

Meanwhile, Arthur who was walking on the path turned his head towards the forest where there was a black figure standing in the mist in the distance. Seeing that, he grinned kindly while saying.

“You must remember your promise.”

After saying that, Arthur then actually left the area. Started his journey back to becoming a chef.

Four days later.

“If you really are a chef, why not work on our ship alone, Young Master?”

Descending from the ship, Arthur is immediately offered by the captain to become the ship's chef. Clearly, the young man's appearance while on the ship was so conspicuous as to leave them stunned. Not just once, but they saw him twice fishing for a large crocodile. Not to mention, said ‘why again crocodile ordinary’ makes them really stunned.

Clearly, instead of the usual crocodile, the young man wanted to capture a dangerous creature called the copper-backed crocodile. People they would rather avoid.

“The world is so vast and beautiful, it would be a waste if I didn't go around to see it, right?”

Looking towards the young man who refused politely with a friendly smile it made the captain could only let out a long sigh. In the end, he could only let the talented person go.

After leaving the harbor, Arthur immediately went around this new city to take a look. At first, he did not expect much, but his expression changed as he smelled the fragrant and slightly intoxicating fragrance of a small tavern on the edge of town.

The young man's eyes lit up as he said.

“Truly appetizing sake aroma.”
