The Story of Demon Hunter

The Story of Demon Hunter
197

Her afternoon.

Being in the cafeteria, Satoru ate his lunch with a calm expression on his face.

“Do you really want to take care of those malnourished piglets, Satoru-san?”

Hearing Ono's question, Satoru nodded lightly. Although he had never raised a pig, the young man was still quite confident. Mr. Okuda was willing to believe it, so it shouldn't be so difficult.

Takeo and Manabu looked at Satoru with complicated expressions on their faces. Having been hit once, they were somewhat afraid of the young man. This time they did not comment. However, the same with Ono, they were also somewhat worried about Satoru's condition.

Spend the morning in a riding club, take a short afternoon break, practice in the afternoon until evening, join a riding club in the afternoon, study in the evening. Plus teaching classmates when they are free and take care of pigs.Satoru's schedule is really too crowded when compared to other students.

“Are you sure Satoru-san? I mean, we're riding and we're busy. Is that not excessive?” ask Ono.

“I can still handle it,” replied Satoru.

Satoru's expression gradually became more serious. The reason why he did this was not to appear busy, pretentious, or diligent. There was a reason why the young man wanted to do it. Not to get praise or attention from others ...

Satoru just wanted to prove something and see that with his own eyes!

After lunch, Satoru and all his classmates went to the pigsty.

Arriving there, Pak Okuda was already waiting for them with a gentle smile on his face. He looked towards Satoru then shook his head lightly.

“You really made this academy even more crowded, Young Man.”

“...”

Satoru could only remain silent with an embarrassed expression on his face. Just coming from Tokyo, he had already made almost all the students approach him. Just some time had passed, now he had already made another commotion again.

Such a thing was completely out of his control, but it still made the young man feel somewhat embarrassed when there were friendly people talking about it.

No longer talking about Satoru, Pak Okuda began teaching the students as usual. Without feeling it, a few hours just passed.

While the lesson hour was almost over, Pak Okuda called out to Satoru. He took her to the place where the mothers and piglets were.

Parent cages and children are separated so that the piglets do not die because the mother hit herself accidentally. In four different cages, there were eight piglets each. So there are 32 total.

In each enclosure, there are the smallest and least nutritious pigs because they do not get enough nutrients.

Looking at the seemingly comfortable little pig and accepting his fate, Satoru raised his eyebrows. When the other piglets finished drinking, he took the piglet and moved it to the front. However, the piglet did not want to drink from there and instead went back to the back.

“Forced too, the piglet will not want to. That's why we have to give him extra nutrition. After all, that was their nature.” Mr. Okuda shook his head lightly.

The old man stared at the dazed looking Satoru. Having a friendly smile on his face, he said, “I heard you were in the riding club. Is that true, Satoru-kun?”

“Ya.” Satoru nodded.

“Then, it is difficult for me to allow you to take care of them.”

“Why?” satoru asked with a puzzled expression.

“Because not only burden you, but school rules do. If you have a lot of time, the school will allow it because Greenfield Academy allows almost anything positive. But this time it was different.

Your own time is very tight. You don't have time to take this piglet seriously. Not only does making losses and disposal of funds unnecessary for schools, but messing with such a life is not allowed at all.”

“I will take them seriously!” Satoru.

Mr. Okuda wanted to advise him. Yet when he saw the young man's determined eyes, he was finally only able to sigh deeply.

“I don't know why you want to do such a thing. But you should know your own limits, Satoru-kun.”

“...”

Seeing that, Pak Okuda let out a long sigh. He approached Satoru who was crouching while holding a small pig. The friendly and kind teacher patted the young man on the back.

“After the lesson is over, you stay a while. There's something I want to ask. It will affect whether you can treat them or not.”

“WELL!” Satoru nodded firmly.

Continuing the lesson for a while, all the disciples were finally disbanded. Just then, Satoru stayed in his place with a somewhat nervous expression.

“Tell me honestly, Satoru-kun. Why would you want to do such a troublesome thing? Tell me your reason.”

“That's because .. I'm confused.”

Satoru was slightly bowed. Looking at the floor with an expression full of doubt, the young man sighed.

The young man received a very good education from a small. He is filled with various sciences. Coupled with the incredible background and amazing talent that God gave him, Satoru barely encountered any obstacles in his life. However, it also made him feel hollow.

Satoru learned many things and almost mastered what he learned. However, he did not understand the values of life at all.

“I guess, they deserve a chance.”

Satoru stared at the piglets in the distance. With a blank expression and dull eyes, the young man said in a flat tone.

“When humans make mistakes, they should be given the opportunity to change them at least once. If he still does, the bar decides on his sentence. At least, that's the kind of thing I want.

We can give others a chance to change. So, I think pigs are like that too. We can't just let them go because of the laws of nature. Just because it's weak, we should throw it away?

Didn't you ever say we should help them?”

“Man and cattle are not the same as young people. Besides, the world doesn't always revolve around you. So, you can't just talk and hope everything always becomes what you want it to be.

No matter how strong we are, we are still human. A little creature that can't control everything. Let alone everything, we cannot even control something around us.

We have to fight for something. However, we should not force what we stand for to happen. Because, sometimes life is difficult and we must be able to accept the facts freely.”

Seeing the confused Satoru, Pak Okuda smiled kindly. With both hands behind his back, he continued the explanation.

“Example dairy cows. We can produce a lot of milk from them and even start to depend on and love them. However, those cows can also get old and produce less milk.

If the cost of feed is calculated, the cost of taking care of, energy, time, and so on, will be a big loss if it continues to continue. If the loss, then the farmer can also be in debt or something like that. So, inevitably the cows will be sold and made into meat.”

“It ..” Satoru.

“It's something we can't control. But your words are also right. These pigs have a chance. So you can try to take care of them.”

Seeing Mr. Okuda's friendly smile, Satoru immediately bowed.

“Thank you very much, Okuda-sensei!”

“Sama-sama.”

Looking towards Satoru who looked so relieved, Pak Okuda shook his head lightly. Closing his eyes, the old man thought.

‘What a nice young man who has not seen the world. I hope, he can survive when he finally meets such a problem. Anyway ..’

‘The world is not as friendly as he thought.’
