The Story of Demon Hunter

The Story of Demon Hunter
Time to Work

Sitting face to face with the king, Arthur looked so calm.

The young man had a cold face. He obviously disliked the way people curses, and hated hypocrites who were useless in taking care of the kingdom like them. Likes the brain to play words instead of trying to solve problems.

“I didn't come for a walk at all. Besides, instead of crying and complaining, you better try to save the victims of the demon attack.

Just go ahead, tell me all the detailed information. Stop delaying and this time ... give us clear and useful information!”

“LANCANG!”

The person behind the king immediately shouted furiously.

A BANG!

Arthur immediately slammed his palm onto the table in front of him. The table was instantly blasted into countless fragments, some hitting and injuring the king. However, the man did not scream or complain of pain at all. Just sit quietly in his place.

Arthur glanced at the man behind the king then said in a cold tone.

“Supply? Who do you think is presumptuous, huh?!”

“You have already paid with expensive price, but still useless and-“

BRUISES!

Arthur appeared beside the king and slammed the man to the ground until his face was covered in blood and some of his bones were cracked.

“Self-aware, Stupid. If it wasn't for your recklessness and greed, things wouldn't have become like this.

Expensive pay? Your money is obviously less than half. Now tell me, how many gold-level demons and monsters are up on the enemy side? One platinum and 10 gold?”

Arthur immediately stomped on the man's chest until it cracked and continued.

“Is your brain damaged and can not count because it often installs high taxes and corruption rations people?”

“That's enough, Mr. Arthur. Let him go. Forgive the mistake for me.”

Finally the king spoke up. Hearing that, Arthur gave a cold snort and kicked the man out of the room. He then sat back down in his place, looking at the king who had just spoken.

“Our kingdom has just been mourning the loss of its father as well as its army. The kingdom also suffered a disaster like this. If anyone offends you, please understand.”

“Other times do not use such arrogant and unstable people. I'm not talking about these things. Also, there is no need to talk about your misery to me because it will not change anything.

Tell me, King. Did the four gold-level demons indeed attack the kingdom or just a portion of them? Say everything you know.”

“Good.”

The king nodded lightly. He looked towards Arthur with a pale and somewhat lethargic expression on his face.

“Like the information you get, there are four creatures that fled south and attacked our kingdom. They were 1 demon general and 3 gold-level monsters.

The demon general moving south was a bat demon. Although he had not seen it directly, it was reported that he had a human-like appearance, but with a pair of bat wings on his back. He is good at controlling wind, poison, and blood.

There's a monster we don't know his name. It looks like a giant vulture. His ability is also unknown. However, the creature often appears to take people for prey.

There was also a monster that I knew from my father's book. If not mistaken, his name is Black Crocodile with Gold Backs. His body was very large and had very strong defenses. He's making a mess in the main line of royal waters.

Lastly, there was a monster with a shape like a giant bull. His body was no less massive than the Golden-Bounded Black Crocodile. The creature was even more dangerous and ferocious as it destroyed several cities on the border.”

“...”

Hearing that, Arthur stroked his chin. He then heard the king begin to explain where the creatures had appeared the last time and most likely would have gone in which direction.

“So, you want me to finish off that bat demon first?”

“Ya.” The king nodded heavily.

“The bat devil is definitely the smartest among the four opponents. You're afraid of the creature's vengeance, so you want the creature cleared up. Yes ... understandable.”

Arthur said with a tone full of sarcasm. The young man then mumbled softly.

“That means, the best route to go is the demon bats, vultures, bulls, and crocodiles.”

After a while, Arthur stood up. He no longer intended to stay longer in that place. After all, the reason why the young man had come was only to obtain detailed information so that an event like the one before him would not happen again.

“Thank you for the information. Then, I go.”

Arthur immediately turned around, making many people feel relieved. After all, that person came and went like a storm. It really made a lot of people in the castle feel uncomfortable.

Out of the meeting room, Arthur immediately approached Jotaro and Lily who were in the living room. Seeing that the two were just silent and the atmosphere was so silent, he said.

“Time to work, Friends.”

***

One day later.

In a trading city on the borders of the kingdom, there appeared to be many people running around with panicked expressions on their faces.

Goldengrass City was the most prosperous as well as the largest city in the kingdom. Unlike other cities that were usually controlled by nobles, although this land also belonged to nobles, but they did not become absolute rulers in this place.

In this place, the four great merchants had more power than the city lord. They control the city's economy. The four people had their own troops, made up of cultivators they had trained since childhood.

Although not the possessors of extraordinary talent like those sects, but they were still much better compared to ordinary people.

At normal times, bronze level cultivators were already considered great by ordinary people. However when facing a great disaster like the attacks of creatures above the gold level, they were completely useless.

Like now. Although the four great merchants were famous for their strength. Right now, they simply could not face the threat from the demons invading the city.

Above the city, there appeared a black figure hovering high in the sky. In the surroundings, there were millions of black bats with blood red eyes.

The creature that controls the bats is a humanoid figure, but completely different from the vampires in the stories. The creature did not have a handsome or beautiful face, shiny silver or gold hair, let alone beautiful eyes.

Instead, the creature had a human-like body but was thinner and stooped. His hands were very long, full of sharp claws. His head resembled a real bat, but with long messy hair.

He was wearing a ragged black robe. In addition, the creature also has a pair of large bat wings on its back.

“Continue running. Keep running around because you will never be able to escape even if you try your hardest.”

A hoarse and deep voice echoed throughout the city, leaving many people terrified. They all panicked to find out what the devil was doing to the villages and small towns around. Many children and women cried, making the creature laugh out loud.

“Do you know, man? From up here, you guys look really small like ants. It was completely weak and could be trampled to death at any time. You guys really look like ..”

“Junk. Yes ... I quite agree with your opinion.”

Another voice interrupted. Just then, the bat demon was instantly shocked. He immediately turned his head in a certain direction and saw three people standing on a flying sword in the distance. What made him even more surprised was the figure of a handsome young man smiling kindly as he waved his hand.

“Yo! Do I surprise you, Kalong Man?”
