The Story of Demon Hunter

The Story of Demon Hunter

In the afternoon, after practice hours are over.

“Why do we have to keep following the excrement lessons despite being tired like this?” said Ono who was walking next to Satoru.

“As Chiaki said, maybe this is made so that we can be more relaxed not too stressed?”

Satoru said in a somewhat unconvinced tone. Even if it was reasonable enough, but the days that the young man had experienced now were indeed quite heavy. Not to mention, here he was just pacing around with no clear purpose.

It was like spending time in vain.

Walking towards where the riding club was located, Satoru and Ono looked somewhat confused. Feeling a bit doubtful, but also do not know what to choose what else.

What made Satoru feel a bit strange was ...

Why Ono wants to join a riding club when he actually does not like that kind of thing.

“Ono?” call Satoru.

“What's up, Satoru-san?”

“Do you have a reason to come to this place? Besides, it seems you know me. Am I right?”

Hearing the question from Satoru, Ono did not immediately reply. He walked while looking at the sky with a blank expression. After a while, the young man opened his mouth.

“I don't really know you very well, Satoru-san. Just seen you in a magazine. Junior kendo (sword) and kyudo (arrest) race champions at national level. I think it's kind of weird to see people not recognizing you.”

Ono's answer made Satoru's expression change. Given that he had indeed been photographed for the magazine cover, the young man felt somewhat depressed as well as relieved.

He felt somewhat depressed because most likely many knew him, but was also relieved that only the identity of the champion was known.

“Ouch! Looks like my identity was discovered,” Satoru said while scratching his cheek with a somewhat awkward face.

“As a champion in two sports, your life should not be that bad, Satoru-san. Why did you come to a remote place like this?” ask Ono.

“Isn't it better to answer someone's question before turning to ask?” satoru said with a smile on his face.

Once again Ono was silent. Gazing at the cloud-filled afternoon sky, the young man muttered softly.

“Different from you who came to this place with a clear purpose, the reason why I came here is because this academy has a dormitory. That means I don't have to go home.”

“Why don't you want to go home?” satoru asked with a puzzled expression.

“Because I'm a defeated loser. I tried so hard to get into Sapporo's favorite High School, but my grades were lacking. Though I have struggled, even though I have studied hard, but I gave everything I have.”

After saying that, Ono looked towards Satoru with a tired expression. A wry smile was seen on the young man's face.

At that moment, the fake smile on Satoru's face disappeared. He looks confused. The young man felt a bit sorry for Ono, but he did not know the whole story and did not understand what the young man was feeling.

“Sorry.”

In the end, only that word was spoken from Satoru's mouth.

“EH? Why are you suddenly apologizing, Satoru-san?” ono asked with a confused expression.

“I really don't understand what problem you're having. Even if I understand, maybe I can't help you.”

“Pfft!” Ono closed his mouth to hold back the laughter. “Of course it doesn't matter. Everyone has their own problems. So you don't have to care too much about that, Satoru-san.”

‘Everyone has his own problem ..?’

Thinking that, Satoru smiled bitterly. He knew that the problem might not be so great compared to people. So, the young man felt somewhat overwhelmed when he saw the person who had the heavier problem struggling while he instead complained and held a grudge.

In the end, they both arrived at the horse riding club.

Just walking closer, a beautiful voice sounded in the ears of the two of them.

“Hey! What are you doing here, Kouhai-kun?”

“From so many clubs, I did not expect that you would be interested in a riding club. It doesn't matter anyway, there are still a few days to choose.”

“Some days?” ask Satoru.

“Iya. You can start actively following the club after the first week of practicum is completed. Don't you know that?”

“Isn't it done constantly?” satoru asked with a puzzled expression.

“You're really funny, Kouhai-kun. If you do it constantly, does it not even make the students tired?”

Natsumi approached Satoru then slapped his shoulder while giggling. Seeing the puzzled expressions on the faces of those two first-grade disciples, he began to explain.

“Practice lessons are usually done one week at the beginning. There's some distance. At least, there will be no practicum in the morning like that until april.”

“Can't this school make the teaching schedule more reliable?” muttered Satoru in a dissatisfied tone.

“So we don't need to wake up at half-five in the morning for a while?” asked Ono with a hopeful expression.

“It's true.” Natsumi replied with a friendly smile on her face.

“Thank God!” ono said with a relieved expression.

While Satoru was only silent, but he was also grateful for having another time to jog early in the morning. Quietly also thought about whether to have the chance to meet a cute and friendly senior who could help him.

‘Maybe he won't show up for not having a task in the morning right?’

Thinking that, Satoru shook his head.

“Because it is already here, I will introduce you two to the instructor.”

Hearing Natsumi's words, Satoru and Ono looked at each other and nodded.

Only, after following Natsumi, the two of them felt somewhat regretful. Especially when looking at the appearance of the equestrian club instructor.

“I am a riding club instructor, Sengoku. You two can call me Sengoku-sensei.”

“...”

Satoru blinked. Seeing the fierce appearance of Mr. Sengoku like a war general, the young man felt that something was wrong. Rather than enter the agricultural academy, he somehow felt that he had entered the nest of mountain bandits.

It contained really rude and fierce-looking people!

“Is there a problem?”

“No, Sengoku-sensei!” satoru and Ono replied in unison.

“If there is no. You two can go around to look around. But I have to remind you, don't make a mess or I'll kick you guys out.”

“Good!” answer both at the same time.

Seeing that, Natsumi smiled. The girl then said, “Follow me.”

Following Natsumi, Satoru and Ono are taken to the stables. There, there seemed to be many horses with outstanding looks. Even if they do not understand about horses, people know that the horses in this place are well cared for.

“Maybe they all seem big and fierce, but in reality horses are gentle and sensitive creatures. They are herbivores and care deeply about their herds. In my opinion, they are very cute creatures.”

Looking towards the horse which is tall, full of muscles, and has a fierce expression makes Satoru not know where the word ‘lucu’ comes from.

Natsumi stroked the head of one of the horses. With a gentle smile on her face, she turned her head while asking in a friendly tone.

“Are you guys interested in riding it?”
