Chapter 28 - Beleaguered

The two men quickly descended the Volcanes. Feit and Kiri stood their backs to Ceithrein, both of them running towards the horde of fire lizards to protect themselves and the girls behind them.

Feit rotated his spear as a deterrent from the attacks of the fire lizards and Kiri used his wind magic as a protector.

The left quickly ran towards the rear to protect the girl and fortunately, she had time to get to Ceithrein's place before the attack launched by the Scietiles arrived, but the attack instead penetrated the left abdomen, and Ceithrein who had been bowed from earlier became startled after seeing Left who had a wound on his stomach.

"Are you hurt, princess?" Left asked that, but not with an annoyed face but rather a smile even though it was difficult to see him because of the many wounds on his face.

"Left... Left" The fallen left caused Ceithrein to panic, the girl who from earlier was only blaming herself, once again got her teammates into trouble.

"Your stomach!!" Fresh blood flowed out from the left abdomen.

"If you can fight, you should fight instead of daydreaming princess" said Left weakly, he lay down with his stomach wound, "I'm fine"

"That's right Miss Ceithrein, Protect the Left and I will focus on the Scietiles in front" said Feit who remained focused on her enemy.

Ceithrein stood near the Left in order to protect him and Feit would focus on the Scietiles surrounding them. The guilt was still there, but now he was trying to strengthen his heart in order to do what he could do.

As Feit focused on the fire lizard monster that surrounded them, the weakly lying Left and the alert Ceithrein protected his companion, a hot air felt close from the top.

'Do we have to fight it?' Feit's getting more alert.
